Hello,
i have nearly no clue about Android Roms / rooting.
But my Phone (P880) is quite slow at the moment so i search for a custom rom which helps me to improve the general performance of my phone.
At the moment my Phone is not even rooted or has its bootloader unlocked.
So due to my wish to have a custom rom on my phone im surfing the forums.
There are lots and lots of custom roms and i really dont know which to choose.
So the main requirements for a rom are :
It should be quite stable.
It should work faster than the LG Rom.
It should not have major bugs or features which i cant use anymore (like NFC does not work or GPS does not work).
Im not playing games on my phone im just using it to Whatsapp / SMS / Calls.
I hope you can help me to find a rom which provides the features mentioned above and is easy to install.
I would also be happy about a easy to understand tutorial on how to install everything.
Thanks for your help,
Nils
First, you need to unlock bootloader, root your phone, so you can instal recovery, use this toolkit to do all that... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2230934 - i recommned twrp.
When you finish, use super su to flash/update your TWRP Here download link latest TWRP for our phone http://dl.twrp.me/p880/twrp-2.8.6.0-p880.img
Than, turn off your phone, press power + volume down to enter recovery, backup your system data, and everything, just in case, i will reccomend you to install LiquidSmooth 4.0 featuring new Mourta-Hybrid lollipop rom, becouse it's only rom with updated kernel, all other roms have outdated kernel. Liquid download link: http://www.mediafire.com/download/5m682nst53sfnan/LS-LP-v4.0-2015-03-27-liquid_p880.zip

Hi !
This is a backup of the latest OTA of ZUI by Zuk/Lenovo, already configured in english, chineses apps uninstalled, and playstore/google services installed.
Magisk root and unofficial Xposed-Magisk for Nougat work on this rom !
(I've tested Youtube Adaway, Youtube background, Lucky Patcher, Adblocker reborn, it's working well)
Your not need to do a wipe, and you can keep your data if you come to 2.5.435 ZUI rom ! But you have obligation to install boot & firmware, because latest OTA by zuk upgrade both !
[Quick Charge is disabled by default when the screen is on, look the screen capture, it's normal, this is a new setting come with this latest OTA, you can change that on developper settings ! ]

The ROM is flashable with TWRP ? If I come from custom ROM (AEX) I'll need to do a full wipe or I'll need to flash via a PC ?
Is there any chance of multilanguage for this rom?

I don't know how to merge XML translation into rom, sorry.
After receiving OTA update to 462 ST, SOT is reduced to 4 hours of moderate usage (usually 5-6 hours).. Phone temperature is a bit warmer, standby temp usally 27 C, now is 32 C, charging temp is around 37 C.. It's a thin phone, you can feel when the temperature is going up..
Is the OTA update works in this rom? In System Update app I have info: "Your system has been root, we are unable to provide the latest version of the system"
ZUI OTA doesn't support unlocked bootloader, rooted or not the phone just shows this message when the bootloader is unlocked...
Hello, someone has already gained some experience about this Rom, is there anything you should know? Thank you
Anyone can help making this rom multilanguage?
Is francko76 the only one who can help us, or can anyone ask the creator of AEX?
how exactly do I install this? after many attempts I managed to get it, thanks for this
2nd edit: does the 5ghz WiFi work on this rom?

You just have to put the files in your twrp backup folder. Make a backup yourself in order for the folder to be created and then with a file manager replace your files with the files of this backup. After that just restore it with twrp

Hey everyone. As the title says, can i revert back to stable version of OS Nougat by flashing the OxygenOS 4.5.1 ROM? (Its 1.46 GB) I'm unrooted and on the stock recovery and bootloader is locked. Can I simply do a local upgrade? If not, whats the procedure?
I'm asking because the guides i found on this topic mentions a special build of OS which is the Open Beta version, but i don't want that. I want to revert to the stable version of OS on my OP 3T.
You cannot revert back to Nougat/Marshmallow directly from the Open Beta. There is a special firmware package to be flashed and there is partial loss of data.
As quoted on https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/how-to/coming-update-oos-based-7-1-t3564240
"Notice:
If you want to revert back to the last Open Beta N build (OnePlus 3 Open beta 24 or OnePlus 3T Open Beta 15) you will need to flash the special build provided below. Because of the nature of downgrading from a major version, this will cause you to lose partial data.
Instructions and Info:
The build will wipe app and cache data, but Internal Storage will be saved (ie: pictures and files)
Users who revert their device back to the special build can still OTA update the device to Android O build at a later date."
You can't install the stable version directly, only via the installation of the special build, then installation of the stable package.
Are you sure that if u have TWRP then u can't flash directly the stable OOS rom?
Unleashed by ONEPLUS 3T rooted

I'm not sure about being on TWRP and flashing an older build, but since OP is on Stock, he'll have to follow the instructions as given by OnePlus.
Hey guys, I am using open beta 17.. Android Oreo.. Nd I realised that open beta version consumes more battery so I decided to roll.back to 4.5.0 stable os... nd since I was having the zip file in my internal storage, I selected to local upgrade from software updates in my one plus 3t ..
The process started nd after few seconds it went to recovery, and it said that " updating, please wait"... nd after few more seconds, it said that "upgrade failed" ... reboot
help me...
You'll need to flash the special open beta to go back to nougat and then flash the stock build. Before flashing the stock build, clean wipe.

That special firmware package totally wiped my phone to zero, all files on the internal drive were wiped and it formated it to f2fs, I have 128gb internal storage, after the boot up it only showed 30gb (afair), I lost everything and I was devastated so please everyone be very careful with that so called "Special firmware", also this is just my experience with that special build other people's experience may be different, all the best to everyone, cheers.

Hello, I used to modify my android a lot, but it's been a while now. So before I soft brick my device, I'd like to get some advice.
My OT3T used to have a custom TWRP, and rooted with Magisk. Today, I found out, that for some reason, it has rollbacked back to default recovery and the root no longer works. My bootloader is still unlocked though.
So questions. Which version of TWRP would be the best for the new 9.0.3? Can I flash the latest TWRP version straight away or I have to install an older version and then update it?
Which version of Magisk? I guess the latest will do.
Then if the TWRP is installed properly, I guess, I can just follow the guideline from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...l-oxygenos-5-0-1-android-8-0-t3728119/page135

Just flash the latest version of TWRP (3.3.1-0) and the latest stable version of Magisk (19.3). Then follow the instructions.
Make sure you backup your user data (/sdcard) to your PC before updating OOS.
