Does anyone know if it's possible to get Google Pay working on this phone? It's got NFC, but nothing I've tried so far has worked, so I wonder if maybe it can't be done.
I'd been running Lineage 14.1 for a while and could install Google Pay on there, but got a message to say I wouldn't be able to use it for contactless payment on that device. I recently tried Lineage 15.1 and got the same issue. I've now gone back to stock, thinking it was a custom rom that was causing the issue, but with stock, Google Pay doesn't even appear in the Play Store for me.

Hello all and thanks in advance for any help. I really liked Samsung Pay and used it a lot when I got my phone. Then one day about a month ago it just stopped working. No errors just won't connect to any place that it worked previously. It vibrates like it is going to connect like it always did be before but just won't do it. I have even factory reset and still the same problem. Does anyone have any ideas what may be wrong? Samsung has been no help so far.
check nfc if that doesnt work then its defective
I had a recent issue where it stopped working. When it worked fine in beginning. I had to do a factory reset and it fixed it.
I just got my Samsung pay working but I had a issue saying device not supported. I did factory reset three times uninstalled , started fresh no backups same issue. Samsung support and samsung pay support told me to trade phone in. I knew it was a software issue.
What I found out is the Samsung pay on Google play store is not a good for this phone. I googled Samsung pay apk and downloaded version 2.9.86 and that got everything working for me support had no clue what was wrong I how this works for you
Got a Canadian version P20 Pro, but when trying to activate the google pay pay in stores, got the error "This phone can't be used to pay in stores. This may be because it is rooted or altered to some other way."
Anyone saw the same issue? I didn't boot it even not unlock the bootlocker. Or is it due to I activated private space?

If you are, you need to install Magisk. My device was rooted and has the same problem. Magisk sometimes works, I think on certain versions. So I finally gave up and relocked my bootloader and unrooted.

No, it's not rooted. Contacted huawei technical support, they said could be a firmware issue and I have asked for a replacement phone. I will see how the new phone works.

I have some issues with paying via Google Pay since the Pie update. It always shows "moved the phone to quickly", even when I don't. I have yet to successfully complete a transaction with Google Pay since the update. Has anyone of you had these issues as well? I am wondering if something is up with the NFC I have read somewhere that there is already a patch to the .163 update that resolves some NFC issuesm but don't quote me on that!

I'm still on the 9.0.0.108 beta version but Google Pay works like a charm.
I have the same issue, since the update. I am using Google Pay with an N26 bank account in Germany.

I have the same issue since the Update to 9.0.0.163. (C432E5R1P9).
Google Pay says the phone has been moved to quick, Bunq App just keeps switching between "payment mode" and "unlock with fingerprint mode".
I used the Phone for payment (PayPal / N26) without issues until the Update.
I think there is something wrong with the NFC too.
I don't use it for payments but I need to read some NFC cards every now and then, and after the upgrade it sometimes takes 3-4 attempts to do that.
I also found it is terminal and card dependant. I have issues when I pay with google pay via paypal at the REWE terminals here in Germany. It always shows "moved phone tho quickly", but when i let the phone rest on the terminal for a longer time it works. Using my visa card it works as intended. On other terminals payments with paypal are also free of issues.

Phone suddenly stopped communicating with pay terminals in stores, no reaction between the devices at all (terminals don't see the card). NFC is on and ceecked via other app, credit card is correctly configured and activated in both bank app and Google Pay app. I'm on 9.0.0.197 since around 2 months, so upgrade to EMUI 9 did not cause the problem.
I'm in contact with Google support who seem to flip the problem on user side, HiCare support also does not see the issue on their side, they ask me to perform full wipe and ask questions about HCE activation, which I cannot answer. And, as you go through opinions on Play Store, it looks problem is not only mine, but plenty other M10 Pro, M20 and Honor Play users.
Any thoughts or ideas from you?

Problem solved.
What helped? I was in the beta testers group of Google Play Services. Cancellation of approval for beta testing and getting back of the Google Play Services app to version 13.2.92 (official, non-beta) unlocked payments by phone.
I post it if someone had a similar situation.

Yes, but I bought it from Refurbed in January 2022. No problems since yesterday, when I tried to install ProtonAOSP (but I had already LineageOS, so I already have BL unlocked and everything) and it gave me this "error" I hope I didn't quacked up something

Try to get refund from seller. It was stolen from an organization and probably no way to fix it. Many such threads for same reason here on XDA.

same issue. i bought a pixel 4xl , android 11 ,the previous owner selled it because it was "managed by your organization" with oem locking option greyed out ...so he could do nothing, and it was very cheap so i bought from him (about $40 so even if i couldnt unlock it , i repair cellphones myself so i can sell the screen replacement, it is worth more than that) anyways i did manage to stop the message and the phone is fully functional, (it is my main personal phone now) .the package u have to uninstall via adb is com.google.android.apps.work.oobconfig even i delete all packages with the word "verizon" just in case
now the same guy selling another , so u can imagine how happy i was but then the phone arrives and this time it runs android 12, ive tried everything, that trick does nothing now, seems like they fixed, ive tried several times, deleting many more packages, everything that has "vendor" "carrier" "verizon" "companion" "providers" and every package that seems suspicious to me, but no, the only way to stop the message is to delete the play service package (com.google.android.gms) but then u can do nothing google related. and you can use it for days but at the moment you install google play services from apk, the phone restart and factory reset.
im clueless. if someone want me to try anything i will do, dont care much about brick or else, since the motherboard have no value for me in the current status
is there a way to debrand pixel from Verizon? Has someone tried to install Global firmware on verizon locked device?
