Hello
I have xperia z 5.1.1 stock rom i have noticed that my phone suddenly shut down at 30% of battery and when i charge it at 60% and turn on the device it turns to 92%., any solution.
thanks
1. dial *#*#7378423#*#* this will open up service menu. check battery health.
2. if battery health is good (very little possibilities given your condition) do a full factory reset.
3. If battery health is good and factory resetting doesn't help, you may give custom roms a try. There are plenty of them to play around for xperia Z . I'm rocking LOS 15.1 in my z and working perfectly.

Guys, it's been for over two months since my battery began to fail.
When the phone reachs 70% of charging, it just jumps to 100%.
When the phone reachs 30% of battery, he simply turns off instantly. (Battery goes to 0%)
I already tried to left on charging for 12 hours, 24, used a lot of different wall chargers, no effect. Tried to use a different ROM, CM 11, CM 12 (unofficial), 4.2.2 stock, 4.4.2 and 4.4.4, no effect as well. Also tried to charge with the phone turned off, fail.
Is there any way to fix this without having to buy a new phone battery? Also I do not have warranty anymore.
Thanks!
Someone pls?

Did you check the battery health in service menu? (*#*#SERVICE#*#*) SERVICE TEST>battery health test.
U shud try flashing ftf and wiping all data even the internals or maybe der is some kernels problem or TA mismatch
Sent from my XZ CM12
check your battery health by dial *#*#7378423#*#*
it will show you your battery status :good:
Recalibrate your battery using any of the apps on the Google play store. May need a rooted device.
This basically describes what is happening (attached)
Checked battery status on service, says it is OK...
Flashed lots of tfts, no result.
I'll try the battery recalibration. Thank you!
Hi,
I know there are many topics on the subject but I didn't find any solution to my problem.
So, since a couple weeks, about when I moved from Europe to the US, my phone drains significantly more battery than before. This has apparently nothing to do with screen brightness, wifi or cell data, since it occurs even in airplane mode during the night. I used to lose about 1-2% during a night, but now it's at least 15%.
You can find a couple screenshots from BetterBatteryStats there (sorry for broken link, it does not work otherwise): n.ethz.ch/~bauera/uploads/Screenshots/
So as I noticed, there are a couple wakelocks but nothing that could explain this large drain. Any idea what could be the reason and how to fix it?
FYI I am using the stock rom 23.4.A.1.232 with Android 5.1.1. Phone model is D5803. The OS was rooted directly when I got the phone in October 2015 and as I said, I did not have any battery problems until recently.
Thanks for your help!
Alex
that's the lollipop battery drain bug on mobile radio, marshmallow should have fix this
Thank you for your reply. However are you sure of that? The bug you are mentioning is apparently linked with mobile data, which I haven't even turned on since a couple reboots at least. Moreover, the battery stats for the night (from the built-in battery menu) show that the mobile network was fully off during that time (airplane mode).

I found this fix worked for me
Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately it didn't work in my case, I still lose about 2%/h in airplane mode and screen off.

BBS - Better Battery Stats is your freind. There's also lots of tips in the thread on how to limit most of the common wakelocks.
There are several services in the new Play Services that are keeping your phone awake. With the introduction of wearable bluetooth there are new fitness services that are looking for your wearable devices constantly, disable them and your battery gets better. Obviously if you use fitness bands/trackers then this fix is not for you.
If you have a rooted phone download Disableservice from the playstore, it's a lot easier to use than Xprivacy and you don't need to install Xposed.
Once it's installed, open the system tab, open Google Play Services, then untick (disable) the following:
ConfigFetchService
FitnessSyncAdapterService
GoogleLocationManagerService
GoogleLocationService
NetworkLocationService
ProximitySettingInjectorService
UserPresenceService
WearableControlService
WearableService
WearableSyncService
then reboot your phone.
Disabling these from running should have no impact on your phone, it doesn't for me, and will give you 10-15% more battery life.

Solved Battery drain for Me
I was also suffering from the same battery drain issue, but after doing a lot of research on this forum, few tricks mentioned here worked for me.
It had been 6 days I bought the phone, so was very disappointed by battery life, did upgrade from PC to Lollipop, but still the problem persisted and even worse. So I decided to go back to Kitkat and followed steps here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-c...d5833-t2906706
After downgrade the battery got somewhat better not satisfactory, so I followed the trick of complete drain upto 0% and charge to 100% (switchded off) after reading posts: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-c...5#post59797105 by Sydr08 #182
and cache clearing trick after 0% to 100% charge http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-c...harge-t3207737
After doing 100% charge I turned ON with vol+ pressed but phone did not respond (I guessed that it didn't worked, so switched ON normally) but after booting I found few settings to be reset so I guess it worked
So finally this trick seems to work for me, now the drain has slowed down to a lot extent. I have used phone regularly (calls, games, whatsapp, Music etc), the battery has dropped to 76% in around 8 hrs ( without stamina mode ) just expecting it to last for two days, and more than that with satmina mode.
Firmware: .77 (India)
Model: D5833
Hi Aakm,
As you said, the tricks mentioned so far on this thread were not really effective, at least for me as well. I could live with that 25-30% left at the end of the day (it is still much better than my old Samsung GS2), but I would be glad to be back to the 2-3 days of moderate use as I had during my first months of ownership.
So I'll try this out over the next days and hopefully it will work, thanks for suggesting! It sounds a bit like magic to me but let's give it a try
Best regards,
Alex
Unfortunately the full drain+charge did not change anything for me. I did not try to downgrade to Kitkat but as I've had good battery on Lollipop for several months, I doubt it would help.
Anyway thanks for your help, but I guess I'll simply wait until Android M comes out and take the opportunity for a full factory reset, hoping it will solve the issue.
Please guys mark the star on the bug report, the more people agree, higher will be the chance that google decide that it's time to fix it

sorry wrong theme
hello everyone,
I use a Sony Xperia Z1 model c6902 phone. It is around 1 years old. No modifications have been done and it was on stock. When the battery was at 60 - 65% I get a notification saying battery low 1% powering off and shuts down. Then when the charger is plugged In it starts charging from 1% And after reaching 10% jumps suddenly back to 60%!!
Here are the steps I tried to resolve it:
1. It looked like a software bug so reset the phone to factory. No go
2. Unlocked bootloader, rooted, flashed 2-3 ROMS, no go
3. Flashed a stock . Ftf file. No go.
4. At the moment trying this app called Battery repair which I know for sure isn't going to help.
What should I do?
Edit: after battery recalibration and cell map (pretty sure all it does is reset batt stats) charge now dropped from 90% to 1%
Don't think there's a such thing as battery recalibration.
Probably just need to replace the battery

Just follow the instructions on how to open it and you'll be good to go
Solution
for me also the same prob
just try to replace the battery even if it doesnt work then there ill be a ic issue
for me ic gone in mother board and now its fixed
Yes. You can replace the built in battery. I had this problem before. I send my phone to a service center in my place for a battery replacement. The service costs more than a normal removable battery (of course). But now at least I can use it for another few years.
Hi Everyone,
I bought a Z3+ on the 2nd of July here in Germany and the Battery has been draining at an Alarming rate (I upgraded it to MM as soon as i got it out of the box)
In 6 hours i am down to 32% with 2 hours mins of SoT (Whatsapp messages and a few minutes of browsing) , 90 mins of Calls.
Also the battery stats shows very Basic information (attached file), the rows for GPS, WiFi etc right below the Battery graph is not there (or perhaps it was removed in Sony's UI?)
I have reset the phone once already, Wifi scanning is off, I never use bluetooth. I don't have the Facebook app. The apps that i have installed are Whatsapp, Yahoo Mail and DeutscheBahn Navigator
Should i ask for a replacement? The battery life is truly horrible
Did you do a soft reset? (That mantains your apps/files/information) or a full reset? (Where you need to enter your Google Account and install everything again.
Mine only stopped the battery drain with a full reset.
I saw this and other problems with 3 kitakami devices after the upgrade to MM, the only thing that helped solving all problems was allways to reflash (repair) the complete FW with Sony Companion. Attention this delete everything.

Reset as in Via Sony Companion Software (Software Repair).
Also is it possible to see Mobile Network Signal, WiFi, Awake, Screen ON, GPS under the Battery graph?
Also when the signal is poor and the device is overheating, it drains battery very fast. Although i also recommend re-install with xperia companion

Re-installed/Repair done twice, the battery stays good for one or two cycles and goes back to being crappy again. Surprisingly there is no heating issue
The signal is never poor where i live and WiFi router is in my room and i turn WiFi off when i leave my house.
Anyway contacted Sony, they wanted me to send the phone to them and could not give a approximate time frame as to when they would send the mobile back but Amazon is offering me a refund/replacement.
Not sure if i should ask for a replacement or get a refund and get a different phone
Anyidea what is with the battery graph (attached image in the first post)

Try battery stats and see what is using your Partial Kernel Wakelocks. For me it was the Google backup feature.
Dear XDA Members.
I have rooted Sony Xperia Z1.
It's battery is draing so quickly.
Means 90% to 0% in just few seconds.
Any suggestions and help will be appreciated.
Thank you.
Also is there any custom recovery available for Sony Xperia Z1. (honami).
And how to flash it without PC.

For battery drain: Use your device until it powers off and then do a complete charge to 100% without unpluging your phone, after charging your device use it normally, and remember always make sure your device is not hot or overheating, and when it is leave it to cool off.
If your device is hot most of the time and it's still draining real fast try openning safe mode (power menu > tap & hold power off > reboot to safe mode will appear and tap OK) now check if your device drains fast without third-party apps, if not then a third-party app is maybe the reason for battery drain, check your battery stats to see which one might be the culprit, it's probably the most recent one you installed when battery drain started, uninstall it or make sure you stop it when not in use.
If any of these will not help then it might be your battery's the reason.
In general you should search the forums before asking it's more than likely your questions or problems are answered before so it saves you time waiting for the answer in a new thread.
