[APP]HTC Sense Clock widget

Hello people!
I made this widget(4x3) app using Yahoo Weather android app (available on google code as yahooweatherandroid) as the base. A big thanks to Nguyen Quoc Dat for developing the original and giving me a head-start with his easy to understand code (since this is the first time I am writing something in java ).
The original code was meant to be compatible with sdk version 3. So it did not have all the optimizations available in the later sdks. The code is now compatible with sdk version 14 and up (target version 17) having most of the optimizations. All the widget updates are done in the background threads so the main UI thread isn't caught up doing that. Also, clock updates are not done when the device is sleeping thus preserving battery (haven't tested this thoroughly yet but hoping it works fine. Will be great if someone tested this out too!)
One big thing I am not sure of is how this widget would fit on other devices. I just have a Xperia TL, and it looks great on it's screen. So I am hoping it would look just fine on other 720p devices (not sure how it would look other screen sizes. I'll appreciate if someone can help me out here).

The app is pretty much the same from the original app. My main aim was to get the widget right. I'll polish the app soon.
PM me if you want to take a peak at the code. Remember that it is just the same as the original with a little modification.
Please be a little gentle on me if I have made any mistakes in my post or violated any protocol since this is my first post in XDA-Developers.

Update:
The app is now cleaned up and a few bugs have been fixed!
Font sizes have been fixed and are not scalable (not sure if this is ideal but it makes the app and widget look good and uniform irrespective of the system font size).

I could not recreate the issue you were facing.
Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling the new version that I posted?
Once you set the location, it should immediately reflect on the app as well as widget. If it doesn't, you might want to close and reopen the app (not the widget). I think I have to dig a little deeper to see if this was some kind of race condition.

Hey, thanks for these theme! It's really nice, except for the quick toggle of the rotation of the screen, it has no icon, just the label and a blank white space where the icon should be. Is it supposed to be like that or it's just a bug?
If so, please fix it asap 'cause I can' t wait to use these theme! XD

Hey, i tried it. And now I have the icon on quick toggle for the rotation of screen, but it doesn't change the icon or the label. It works, but it doesn't show me the right set of the toggle. Plus, now the icon of the timeout screen is disappeared.

For now, all works good! The only thing is that every time i reboot, it delete many of the icon on the home, but everything is good graphically for now! thanks

Hi again! Don't you think that the icons in status bar are too little? Especially the wifi and the vibration ones.

Can I make a couple of small feature request? Right now the signal strength icon doesn't match the icon in the quick settings tile. Can you make them more similar? In the same vein, when the statusbar is themed the wifi and signal icons don't show the exclamation mark in case of lost connectivity (I think it's just a missing asset).

ZUK Z1 Battery (SOT)

Min. 4000 mAh which means "sick SOT", just better than on the OnePlus One... This is what I think but can anyone confirm this?

Mine make 5h SOT with All activated...GPS, sync, data, WiFi...

This is really bad. My Redmi Note 2 got over 6h with anything on and 2 sim cards

A guy from Android Headlines who reviewed it got 7h SOT.
it really depend of your usage, brightness, signal strength etc.

Still sucks, cuz Mate 7 got also over 9h.

Until Android 6 its going to suck anyway, as there's a bug in Lollipop which drains battery. In Kitkat its ok, and most likely fixed in 6 also.

Last review i saw on youtube: 42h use (6h SOT) and still 45% left. Holy s...

Apart from the screen, Google play services was draining a large portion of my battery. I have disabled 'Google location history' which seemed to have done the trick. Google play services no longer appears to be in the usage. Fingers X

If I just use screen all day I can get 10h/11h sot maybe more if low brightness.
Normal usage is closer to 5h-8h over 40h-60h obviously depending on various factors.
In short the best battery life I have every seen.
With root and xposed I'm sure I could make the idle drain much better and possibly even more sot if I start messing with kernel settings.

I concur with your opinion: awesome battery life. You can stay away from your charger for a day (intensive use) or two (light use). Note: I just use one nanosim for the time being.

Well, anyway my battery behaviour is quite strange.
It's barely 11pm and I'm at 10%, and for half a day I had the phone in lollipop power save mode.
At 6 pm I was at 50,% then I switched the phone on balance.
I have to try removing one of the 2 sim.

I don't think it can affect battery life. At the end pixels are the same.

Email text area still white
Fantastic work bro. Just one up gradation needed that is for stock email app as while background is blue, compose or email matter text area base remains white which looks kinda awkward. If that area could also turn blue with white fonts on it just like settings menu, that theme will be just about perfect.
This issue is just with email app as stock msg app is perfectly blue...... Secondly whatsapp background needs to be a bit lighter, it seems too dark
Hope you can rectify this bug in next update soon

Dark Notifications

Hey guys. The most annoying thing in emui 9.1 Dark mode is that white notifications. both in lockscreen and homescreen
I already used themes from themes manager 3rd app.
Theres a way maybe to edit the original hwt file? Maybe some app?
Any other solutions will be great.

I've just found the pure black theme on themes manager app, and now I have black notifications, and somehow it's even made WhatsApp black!

It wont effect your launcher. It changes the system ui, some system apps, whatsapp , etc. Using it with nova and it has been great.

Goes a bit funny by default, I disabled the advanced visuals as per the notes and it is great.

I think i prefer the original theme. For many reasons.. maybe do you know which folder inside the theme used for the notification part?

What region is your phone set too?
When I click the link it says it's not available in my region (United States).
When searching directly from Theme Manager app, it doesn't find anything for Pure Black

I'm set as UK and downloaded the app and in the app is Pure Black theme.
You need to do this to get into the Theme Manager on the phone and use it.
Either change your region or download it with an apk download app or website and install it manually.

Hey all,
I am able to see the pure black is installed and I click on the click here to install which opens the theme manager. The theme lockscreen and fonts etc are in the customize section but in the actual theme set up the pure black is not showing, only the preinstalled themes are. I would appreciate any help in figuring this out...thanks in advance

In original "theme" app from the phone i can´t find this "pure black". When clicking on this link it shows i have to download another theme app. What is that app?

You have to download the app to download the black theme.
Then it will be visible under the themes in the normal place on the phone.

The watch widget on the mainscreen has an italic font now. How can i set to the back format?

If you have issue simply post it through the appropriate section within Huawei Themes app/theme related describing the problem and attaching screenshots and I will answer you
