Hi! How can I remove these files? It seems that they can't be deleted without root?

No root is needed to delete these files.
Directory ".thumbnails" is controllable via any file manager having option "show hidden directories". I personally prefer Total Commander (but usually also have ES File Explorer and MT Manager installed in my gadgets).
BTW, I also use the following life-hack: in directories containing ".thumbnails" sub-dir (for stock MI A2 - only /DCIM directory) I delete ".thumbnails" sub-dir and create empty file with ".thumbnails" name - and thus no thumb-nails are created at all)

Hi, when you go into the "media" folder on your tab, is it possible to add more folders there then the stock photo, video, download?
Yes, its possible
And how do you do it?
Use the stock file manager "my files", or download astro file manager or efile from the market.
or use your pc/mac via usb
Using your tab only, click "my files" icon and navigate from there to wherever you want to place your new folder. Then use the context button to reveal the new folder menu, as well as rename and details options.
by the way, you might also be interested in a better media browser than the stock, use quickpic from android market.
also, if you add a blank file (usually a txt file) named .nomedia at the root of a folder which contains some files, the files won't get picked up by the media scanner and stay hidden, but will still be seen by file explorer like My Files.

Hi guys i want to move a mp3 ringtone to internal storage on my OB also i cant create a folder. Please help me guys i have the latest CM nightly, Thanks in advance!
Take root explorer or ES File Explorer to do the task. You need to mount your filesystem, to be able to write. Then just Copy and paste it
how do i do that ? i already have root explorer and es file explorer
You have to enable it in the settings of ES File Explorer.

Open ES file manager push menu/options button, settings, scroll down to root explorer, check the box, click allow this app to have SuperUser rights and save the setting (check box), mount datasystem (/ and /system mount) (it s a checkbox below root explorer), copy your file and paste it wherever you want to
Any knows if there's any script or mod to set this? Instead it being located at the internal folder.
thanx!

Works if you set ES File manager as your default program to download.
Use this it swaps your internal memory with external memory http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2180733

Es File Manager Question share save as.. change directory
So once upon a time I exported a file from Photoeditor by share Es File Manger save as.. mnt/sdcard/Design/Edits, eventually I moved this folder to the mnt/sdcard1/Design/Edits now every time I try to share Es File Manager save as.. the first directory shows up as default even though it's not there, anybody know how to edit or change this (now) default setting in some prefs app or Es File Manager itself, it doesn't remember ?(last known dir) if by manual navigating in the popup dialog
Guys, any file manager that can recommend that can browse files & folders & allow sending options via email or bluetooth or NFC? The File Commander & Astro File Manager all cannot do that.

I want to use root explorer to copy some file into some system folder,
root explorer can successful mount system as RW. but when I copy files, it failed and show "read-only".
the strange things is: I can rename or modify a file/ folder, for example: I can modify "build.prop" and save it successfully.
so the problem is: I can't create new files or folders, but I can modify existing file an folders?
