Hello,
I am trying to find the Battery performance profiles (Performance , Balanced , Power save) in White Neo's CM12.1 Homebuild (24/8/2015) but they are nowhere to be found (at least wherever I searched).
I also added the Baterry status tile on the notification drawer, and it doesn't toggle between the profiles when I press it. It only shows "Power save" even when the mobile is NOT in battery save mode
I guess I am missing something I just don't know what.
Thank you
I want to do factory reset because of android system using too much battery and just thought of trying lineageos since I'm wiping everything anyways.
I know camera quality is worse and live display isn't as good as night mode, but is there anything else?
Sultanxda's Lineage OS has almost the same camera quality as Oxygen OS.
Not much, and still you can get away with less battery usage ? unless you're using some power hefty apps or try to many energy saving things which will cause the opposite.
Also camera quality issues can be solved by using either Sultans camera mod (available as recovery zip file) or CameraNX which I use.
And I don't see whats so much better with OOS night mode. LOS is quite customizable when it comes to color temperature.

can you provide this camera you are talking about? I have tried RR but left because of the HORRIBLE camera. The paranoid camera didn't impress me either. I find OOS's to be much superior
Use sultanxda version of Lineage OS, not only camera app.
I use Sultans marshmallow. It's the bees knees

I can assume you're talking about this one? Looks like the last update was June 15 which in most cases means a good thing!! If it ain't broke don't fix it!! :highfive:

On the contrary, the latest version has battery idle drain problems.Apart from this problem, this is almost the perfect ROM
Thanks to multiboot, I made a lot of comparisons between OOS (betas and stables) and Lineage OS, and I can say that OOS is very stable, is more battery saving and is much more smooth.
On the contrary, LOS is more customisable, but for me one feature is missing in LOS roms: the possibility to have a different ringtone for each SIM.
The one thing I find to be incredibly annoying is that there is no way to disable the heads-up notifications from appearing on the screen when you are using the phone on OOS. There is no 'mid' priority mode in the app notification settings that you can set which allows sound/vibration and the icon in the status bar but disables the interruption. There is also no status bar shortcut for quickly enabling and disabling the headsup notifications in OOS. But this feature can be found in LineageOS and I miss it the most.

I was wondering about that.. I flashed it on a full charge and I'm at 87% with no usage at all. Flashed and sat.. was going to get everthing set up but I'm concerned if I even should at this point. That's a lot of drain after doing this while plugged in ... in my experience anyway. I know LTE uses a lot of battery but after only about 2 hours off the charger and on Wifi, that's odd to me. Hmmmm...

Did you try with Power notification control which is available within SystemUI tuner? (tuner can be enabled by long pressing on settings button in notification panel)

Wow thank you, I had no idea that existed. Why is a feature like that buried so deep though
Hi to all,
Huawei have very bad AOD, it doesn't have any information only time. I found this AOD that have so much settings and very, very, useful.
- AOD (time, calendar, weather),
- Notification (when you get messages on som application like Viber it shows Viber icon, you can touch icon and read message on AOD without unlock it),
- Blacklist app - app you dont want to show on AOD,
- Duble tap to wake, swipe up for camera and etc...,
- Edge lights for notifications,
- Background for wallpaper,
- Adaptive mod,
- Font style,
- Music Controls,
- Automatic move clock,
- And many more settings...
Name of app: Allways on Amoled Edge Light
LINK: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.newgen.alwayson
* I havent test batter drain of this application.
p.s. this is not my application i just found it. All the best, enjoy
Hmm... Looks pretty sweet. I will definitely give it a try. It is odd that the Huawei features are so... thin. I mean, why wouldn't they at least give you the ability to toggle notification icons for just a few common apps?
I tried this and the battery drain is high even with just the digital clock on.
Yeah, I said the same in the other thread. It was using 1% in around 10 - 15 minutes and I hadn't even turned on proximity detection.
I used it for half a day. But he consumes a lot of charge. I do not recommend.
Yeah I noticed my battery draining pretty fast too. However I still think this app is pretty cool and worth it, especially over the crappy native AOD... As my phone still gets through a full day usually.
Though if I think I'm gonna have a day of heavy phone use or I'm travelling or something, I'll just disable it.
I'm using this one, which is very good as well.

I think there's nothing which can be done about battery, whatever app you use it will always drain something.

Can u screenshot your settings please? I can't figure out how to have the AOD come up once I've locked my phone. It never shows.

Yeh i couldnt get app notifications to work either. I tried everything, besides that it looked really nice. But without notifications it rendered it useless.

How do you make it work with face unlock?? It keeps showing the FPrint icon.

It does if you configure it properly. And yeah, there were problems with notifications showing up on the M20 Pro (and I suppose onother EMUI 9 phones as well), but they have been fixed in the meantime.
Must admit I just use it during the day and when I put my phone on the wireless charging pad...just like all other aod apps, it just consumes too much battery to be taken in consideration for constant use (the dev himself doesn't advise to use it this way either). I guess devs can't do nothing about it, it's just the way it is with aod.

Built in AOD consumes very little power but a third party app version doesn't have elevated system privileges so it's going to eat battery like crazy to keep itself open and running.
It's similar to why built in SMS uses very little power but an app like Facebook Messenger is a notorious battery hog.
So I have the ugly stock notification panel on my P30 Pro MIUI 10.
I was wondering if there's any way of modding it without rooting.?
Thanks
You can use Power Shade on the Play store. Did have alot of fun with it.
Thank you very much, I was wondering the same thing. Now I have the notification panel as I wanted. Once again thank you very much.

Hi,
Is power shade actually fully compatible with dark mode in EMUI 10??
Cause I read that auto brightness toggle is screwed up (which I use) and others say it doesn't fully work for Quick Settings or re-asks from time to time accessibility permission. And others mention poorer battery life and performance as Power Shade is always running.
Not sure if it's worth paying for the app that might have those glitches.

Auto brightness works, but if you have that enabled then you cannot manually change brightness, the slider does nothing unless you disable auto
Ok, but how about other icons like Huawei Share that I use often? Are they still present? And how's battery life and performance? Any difference with Power Shade running all the time?

Can the brightness slider be removed from the quick settings panel? It's something that i'll never need and it just takes up room.

Hola, Do you have screenshots?

Disappointed. I can't choose 5G in the network list. It only has 4G.
(Before anyone points it out, yes, I know 5G is sort of "4G+", but still, on the v10.3.17.0 rom I can choose 5G, and as an official ROM I'd expect them to put that option in there)
It's prettier, but that's about it.
Nice, I just read the news on https://www.notebookcheck.net/MIUI-...e-Mi-Mix-3-5G-ahead-of-schedule.492147.0.html
Nice, I received my update yesterday morning and it's been working pretty smoothly ever since Love the new dark all over look. It's great!
hi i am in italy, i have downloaded it but when i try to install it through MIUI uodate it reply:current ROM network type is different from that in the recovery. please download the correct ROM ??
can anyone help me?
Your carrier customization version is different , probably-PEMEUVF, not 100% sure but you need to unlock your bootloader if you want to install this OTA manually.
got it in UK. updated fine. cant complain. its made my background a little bit darker, but you can disable that in the settings.
When will the update come for PEMEUVF? Do i need to install it manually?
Just to note, My battery does appear to be lasting much longer than previously
When at work my battery would only just last the day before needing a charge but since updating I have over 50% at the end of my shift...

Are you using energy saving or super energy saving?
however, I also noticed a longer battery life.
Really great phone, it's really a shame for not getting Android 10.
No, I don't use any battery saver options ever Full power all the time is the way forward
It is a shame we don't have android 10 from Xiaomi There is still hope for the future though! And there is always other software from this forum.
Has anyone noticed again in V12.0.1.0.PEMEUXM update you do not have 5g mode under "preferred network types"
where as in V10.3.19.0.PEMMIXM you get the 5g option
Update:
So played with the 2 firmwares
V10.3.19.0.PEMMIXM offers 5g and speeds high
V12.0.1.0.PEMEUXM offers 4g+ but speeds are not as fast as 5g.
This is what I have and see in my phone... I can not test 5G speeds out as I am not currently in a 5G area

This is interesting buddy.
I don't even get the 5g option on v12 update and with 4g+ my download speed is 25-30mbps
V10 I test 5g n I get i am getting around 150mbps download speed. see screenshots.
Guys how do u get better battery life with this !!
Compared to EU Rom from xiaomi.eu I can confirm it's almost double the battery life than what I get from miui 12!
Can't complain about battery.
Yesterday: about 4.5hrs SoT, unplugged 9am, back to charger 0230am next morning with 48% left...
Nevermind...
