Hello XDA, Im facing a weird issue here...
Whenever Im scrolling and perform "bad" touch on purpose (like with my nail) and then try to scroll again, the touchscreen locks the touch and im not able to scroll until a get out my finger from screen.
I have an S8 with Pie and it does not have this behaviour... It scrolls even after the "bad" tap or touch..
Is this normal with Oreo 8.1??? or do i have a faulty device??

EDIT1: Problem was an incorrect placement and bad quality of tempered glass screen protector ... Bought a new and better quality glass and all issues are gone now!

I am kinda new to this blog and unfortunately when i use the stylus on my screen the response is kinda very slow, i tried doing the screen alignment but nothing seems to work.

Slowness, I would think, is caused by the processer busy doing something else. Close programs that are not needed.
Well, i have noticed that if i lift my finger a little bit from the screen (a few mm), this one is like if i still touching it only responses when a lift more my finger, so i cant type fast, anyone else is having this issue?

Yes, do a search in questions sub forum. But several people including myself have this Phantom touch issue. Screen is too sensitive.
As someone who uses phone as Mini Computer for.presentations , proposals with photos sent in desktop
Email- this could be a problem for typing.
Is sensitivity reduced tempered glass protector ?

Hmm, the glove mode is disabled, and i'm having this issue even whith a crystal screen protector , This is kinda disappointing, anyway glad to know that i'm not the only one with this problem, i hope it fixed soon.
hello developement community!
i am having weird digitizer glitches where it detects 5 points which are there after some touching of the screen (usually swiping), it feels like a hardware issue most likely because i have had many roms and stock had the issue as well. the digitizer touches reset when i sleep/wake so it's not a phone breaking issue and i think the proximity sensor is always engaged which might be related. just wondering on some thoughts that might help. thanks in advance
ps, i had replaced the front panel on it and another s3 mini but the other has no similar bugs they both had the same replacement panel

İts like i touch somewhere on my screen but at the same time something touches somewhere else but i dont! i only touch with my one finger! When i lock and unlock my screen it fixes temporarily! that's a common problem and can't be fully resolved, for what I experience the best you can it minimize it but it doesn't really disappear
our problems together bro !!but if my problem in navbar!! After lock screen fix screen and normal!!! After 5-15 minute screen eror!!! Please help me and solution!!

I was just having this problem until I lost it when it continuously costed me a win in Real Racing 3 lol. Do you have sweaty palms? Or a screen protector? Mine is pretty old and would change it to a new one, I think the sweat piled up so it blocks some touch response and ghosts a touch somewhere in the screen, anyways, in the meantime I tried THIS and it somehow increased touch detection.

It wont fix, its manufacturing fault. Tempered glass will reduce it from happening.
Did you remove the original protector with Sony logo?
Remove the original ASF with Sony logo (antishatter film) as it is such a scratch prone. Replace with tempered glass and those touch issues should be history.
I'm facing a serious issue regarding system navigation button. When I press any of the navigation buttons, the touch area animation keeps remain and doesn’t disappear.
Please help me to fix the problem.
I know I can enable gestures instead of buttons for system navigation. But I really want to figure out what is going on.

I get the same issue sometimes (actually only one time). You can try clearing SystemUI Data (just for sure) and Rebooting your phone
i have the same issue it is not the problem with the ui it is the problem with the tempered glass just remove it that will fix the problem reply me if it worked

i'm agree with you. somethimes some glass cause problems with touch
