Right now I am on N960U ATT and only have the Feb 2019 security update even though ATT is listed as April 2019 being the latest. I have checked a few firmware sites and there are only Oreo firmwares for the ATT N960U but if I look for ATT on N960U1 there is the lastest firmware (April 2019). Can I update to that using ODIN? And if I do will I lose HDVoice/VoLTE/etc + carrier aggression? And if I do will I still get OTAs?

Howdy all,
I have an unlocked G960U Sprint variant that I'm using on MetroPCS. Decided to flash to U1 for carrier debloat/debranding and wifi calling. Everything works well, but now I want the Pie beta on the U1 firmware. I already had the Pie beta on the U firmware before beta 1 was officially released and the carrier bloat drove me nuts. Now that the beta has come out for U1, I would like to have it...my issue....trying to downgrade from ARJ6 U1 (v3 firmare). Tried to Odin back to ARJ2 U1 (v3 firmware) with no luck....Odin just restarts the phone.....am I stuck using this one?
Currently running Baseband Version N960USQU1CSC1, Android Security Patch level: March 1, 2019.
I have never received an OTA update since buying my phone in Aug 2018. For the Android Pie update and all updates since, I have been performing them via ODIN.
Neither AT&T not Samsung have been able to troubleshoot this issue. Appreciate any help on how I can setup my phone to receive OTA updates.
Thanks!

The new firmware is in another post. Just Odin and you'll be current.
I have unlocked on AT&T , and just got the April update this morning, all OTA. Never had to Odin the updates , but definitely not as quick as the carrier branded models. I have only added the APN names when I got the phone(preorder so August 2018) and that's the only setting I changed.
Didnt think flashing instead of waiting for OTA would cause any troubles, but Samsung is sneaky sometimes. Have you thought that maybe you flashed the incorrect files, maybe carrier vs unlocked? Also, factory wipe and reset ? I know the pie update did some screwy things for me and it seemed better after a wipe .
Sent from my Samsung SM-N960U1 using XDA Labs
960U1UES1CSD1 is what I am on now
i have my note unlocked, but i have SPR firmware, im not getting OTA update, im stuck on August security parch, and i see a september update on CCT firmware, said (unknown (CCT)), it is secure flashing?
greetings
I would advise that you wait until the OS update has been released for your device.
oh, is weird the updates, because my s9+ ota update always on 11 on every month, so my note 9 no, its 18 and no ota update

Maybe it is running late this month
It's an unlocked Galaxy S10 AT&T G973U..
I am using it internationally and not with an AT&T sim, so I don't try to upgrade it OTA anymore..
I tried Smart Switch, it says it's up to date. But last security patch was April 2019 and it's running Android 9.
Build and Baseband: G973USQU1ASD7 (According to SamMobile) there's no Android 10 for this baseband.
But my question is, can I flash let's say USA (Android 10) G973USQU3CTB1 or would I need to wait for the baseband for my model?
If I missed something, feel free to correct me.
Thanks!
Having a "U" model means Universal. You can flash any U.S. carrier stock firmware to it. If you have AT&T firmware and want to use T-mobile firmware instead, you can do it by flashing it with Odin.
You can get most firmwares off Sam mobile (Verizon, Sprint, T-mobile). AT&T firmware is hard to come by and you will usually have to pay to get it from a pay site like www.gsm2file.com
Just download an Android 10 firmware and flash it. No matter what it is as long as it's for the U model line.

Ok, thank you very much.
And is "USA" only unbranded? I don't want any bloatware since I am international and I don't benefit from anything they offer.
The G973U phone will only accept U.S. firmware (Verizon, Sprint, At&t, T-mobile, Spectrum, Xfinity, and unlocked U1 Samsung firmware). So if you flash the U1 unbranded firmware you will get rid of carrier bloatware.

Say I wanna get rid of the bloatware, what firmware do I select from the U1 variants? Because I see all of them have carrier names.
If you get it from sam mobile it's XAA from Unknown. The latest is the CTB5 bootloader. I think there's also a thread in the forums here that contains Odin firmware.

Here is the latest SM-G973U Android 10 firmware. It was just released yesterday morning. https://samfrew.com/download/Galaxy__S10__/f6o3/VZW/G973USQS3CTB5/G973UOYN3CTB5/
I'm trying to look for the OTA update to update my Note9, which is running on N960USQU1CSA7 baseband version. I can't seem to find it anywhere though, the baseband version isn't listed on firmware science either. Any help would be appreciated
Baseband version: N960USQU1CSA7
Security patch level: January 1st 2019
Build number: PPR1.180610.011.N960USQU1CSA7
While I persumably have your attention, might as well ask this
Using Odin can I flash USC (USA Unbranded) region firmware to my device? The device is an AT&T carrier version so it's region is ATT.
If I was to update, either by OTA or by flashing with Odin, how do I avoid losing any data on the phone? I have backed up my important files but wish to avoid the hassle of setting up my device again.
