T-Mobile ASD9 Update, No Night mode - Samsung Galaxy S10 Questions & Answers

Just got the ASD9 update ota and installed. Still no selectable bright night shot mode showing in camera app. Is there a separate update for the camera or something in settings that needs to be toggled?

Can't say I'm surprised. Samsung is not known for fast releasing anything.

I am downloading/installing the update...but just saw this thread...
So the update only brought May patch or anything else?

Interesting. Previously, the international version was last to receive updates.

Yeah I have had the night mode for a few weeks but still stuck on April security patch.

2. I saw the tutorial of slow motion video on HTC's website and I don't have that option as they show it. I can I do it?
3. When will I get the latest software update? I'm currently on 1.26
1 yes. its in message settings

yes it depends on at&t. i think you have to turn off auto sync for the social networks but im not sure. maybe search the htc one general and apps thread for a fix
It's been reported that the 1.26 is the latest version with the same camera fixes as the 1.29 international.

My H1 is on 1.27.531.7 (yeah, I know, I could have left off the numbers after the 1.27) and I haven't received the update yet, so no camera fixes. Are you sure about 1.26 being the latest with the camera fixes? So mine came with the fixes out the box?? Hope not because from what I hear the update also fixes the haptic feedback in the keys, and mine are pretty low so I'm looking forward to this update.

Download Package Disabler Pro + (Samsung). I think it was $1.99, but it's worth having. Once installed, search "Update" and check the second Software Update from the list.

Yeah that's pretty much the only way to get rid of it for good. Mine is now to the point where it's no longer giving me the option to select "Later." Lol. I just hit the back button and it goes away, then I set it to ignore for 2 hours in notification panel. Why the heck is that the only option Google?!
I should've held off updating since I'm not sure if the night / low light shots being yellow/warm is from the update.

Doesn't seem to include 9.0.5's feature set, so it may be based on it stability and system improvements wise, but doesn't add some if not most of the perks of the actual OOS build, no wonder it took so long to be released...

Yeah that's definitely a plus, it was one of the reasons I converted, worked so much better on 9.0.5, good for everyone who's still on stock, device works better now and they said nightmode got an update too, so pics should be nicer in the dark.
So they added the stability updates, but ripped out everything else it seems. Not cool. Wonder how long it'll actually take us to get the 9.05 build.

Someone said black friday, so roughly a week from now, sit tight and see what happens in a week.
Eh in that case I'll just wait a couple more days to get my token and move straight to international 9.0.5. I wonder what they did to the Unlock app. Lol.

The update mentions something about updating the Unlock app. I mean obviously for us it's not a big deal anymore, but I wonder if they fixed the problem where people were only getting temporary unlocks approved but perm unlocks pushed through.

Orrrrr maybe they fixed that possible bug where people would request permanent unlocks immediately at purchase and got approved despite being on eip and under 40 days, some even tried within the first 24hrs and got approved automatically for some odd reason, lol.

Got this off reddit. Seems to add the new gestures from 9.0.5(?) as well as other improvements. Can someone who got this update on the TMO firmware check to see if the gestures are actually the ones in the latest update. Then we can confirm that the TMO variant just has a different naming convention.
Also, the build of that is 181029 while the 9.0.5 intl. is 181103

What's quick launch? Boost mode? If so its not in this update. Nor are the live wallpapers or new info screen.
Just got it minutes ago:

Confused about bright night feature?

No option in camera? Where is it?
do you have the phone already?
I already pre prder it and i'm just watching all the reviews from youtube.
Bright night is baked into the AI functionality not as yet a standalone
Bright night is actually under scene optimizer -> intelligent features. There's suppose to be a visual prompt of some sort. I used a retail unit in a bright setting, which might be why it didn't work on the S10+.

First one is called "Steady Cam" and the ohter one is "Story Shot."

sprint have a bad reputaion on updates time
My LG G8 ThinQ LM-G820TM just received the October update.
That's two updates within a three month span!
My fears of being stuck with a phone with great hardware but outdated software are subsiding.
I'm not updating since I believe the October update blocks an potential exploit that could be used for rooting.

There was, but some people looked at the kernel and the phone is too new to be vulnerable

I have the Sprint version and I received an OTA update yesterday. But i didn't see any new camera features.
Is anyone else having issues with notification sounds while connected to a bluetooth or wired headset after the October 1st security update? I know this used to be an issue, but it just started happening again for me.
