Hello!
I ve posted a question on xda in the galaxy tab s4. As there is no enough developpement on it, i had 56 view but no answer.
I m sorry to post here and if this is a problem, i will understand if my thread is deleted by a moderator.
This is my link question in the galaxy tab s4 forum :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s4/help/oem-unlock-issue-t3928460
So there are my interrogations :
"I plane to buy a galaxy tab s4 lte (4g), i want to know if the note 8 oem issue (oem option disappear for 7 days when flashing custom binaries...twrp or magisk) affect the galaxy tab s4 too or not.
I ve ordered one from amazon.fr and when it arrived, i ve discovered that it was a spanish version (phe/phe/...). I returned it and amazon refund me.
I can take it on french samsung shop ( xef/xef...) but i dislike the samsung after sales and prefer amazon.
So...to resume, i have 3 questions :
1) is the galaxy tab s4 lte is affected by the oem issue if we flash twrp and magisk (region lock)?
2) if yes, is the oem issue fix for note 8 will work to make the oem option appear again?
3)is it possible to have xef/xef/xef when the original is phe/phe/phe? I think yes because on my first note 8 i managed to but the oem issue were alwayse there.
Thanks for your help."
Thanks to you for helping and sorry if i m at the wrong place.:good:

My guess is Yes, the OEM Issue affects all latest Samsung phones and tablets on the newest bootloaders. Yes there is a fix. By flashing the RMM Fix. And yes you can flash CSC Packages to change your CSC. Sorry for a brief answer. The files can be found on XDA via a simple search.
Many thanks for your participation. It helped me a lot. I know where is the fix because on my first note 8, i had the issue.
I think my issue is solved because today i received the tab s4 and it s a french version xef/xef. I think it will be like my second note 8 (no oem issue or binaries).
Thanks again.:good:

Hi
I have an IMEI unlock codes server, and I can provide unlock codes for all Samsung phones locked on European networks.
All models are compatible, even the most recent.
The unlock by imei don't make you loose your warranty, and it's permanent.
It's the easiest way to unlock your phone.
All you have to do is power on your phone with an unaccented sim card, type the provided unlock code, and the phone will be unlocked for ever.
The only info that I need is the IMEI of the phone. (type *#06# to see the IMEI)
And the model of the phone.
Delivery time: half hour normally.
SPECIAL OFFER 12€

Say that you see this post in XDA to benefit this offer.
Payments by PayPal 100% secure for you.
I have codes for all brands of phones too.

Hi
I have recently purchased Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 (T-715) and rooted it. Few days back android 7.0 has released and I want to upgrade my tablet to android 7.0. It is not possible to upgrade from "About Device" menu as it gives error:
The operating system on your device has been modified in an unauthorized way. Try downloading software update using Smart Switch on your computer or visit a customer service center.

Last year same thing happened with my Nexus 7 and then I downloaded the rom and manually upgraded it. Now I want to do the same thing for my Samsung tablet but I am unable to find the rom.
Kindly guide me that from where I can download android 7.0 rom for my tablet?
Regards
Lol, you will probably never see android 7 on your device...
It's only available for nexus and the Pixel c for the moment.
And samsung will release it just for a few models.
Galaxy tab s2 may not be one of these

Its a bad news
Is there any general version of which can be downloaded and installed? like in linux kernels we have a "vanila" version which is originally released without any patches etc.
That's not true. As SamMobile published some times ago, our sm t-715 it's likely to be updated to the latest android version 7.0. Same as the other variants. There are no official informations though, but we will see in the future what happens. Personally by one side i think that our tab has the right specs to be updated, on the other side i'm afraid about two things:
1) Samsung could be lazy and forget a relatively new and high spec device to be updated
2) Developement community isn't very populated and every version of Android Nougat that will be out unofficially (if one there will ever be) will broken fingerprint support and Mobile network on LTE variants.
P.s i'm very sorry, i wish to link you to the article i saw on internet but i cannot fin it, very sorry.

Realistically, I think we will all be waiting somewhere between 6 months to 1 year, IF this tablet gets Android 7 at all.
If not, its a case of waiting for a custom rom.
If you wanted instant updates, you should have bought the Pixel C, (as the Nexus 9 is rubbish.)
tab s1 has just got android 6 so maybe there is hope for s2 and 7
I have two questions:
1. Are custom roms safe?
2. If you find any custom rom, will you post link here?
Thanks

No, never use a custom rom. All veterans here on XDA know only the North Koreans publish custom roms in hopes of tricking a newbie to download it so they can hack your computer.
If you have a friend that is using a custom rom on their phone please block there phone number if it is not too late, as a phone call from them will affect your phone as well.
Hello All,
It has been a while since I returned back to the forms and seems kinda hard to find the path. . . .
Is this the right place for Samsung note 9 Tmobile? if not, can someone please point me to the correct forums for the T-mobile users who has the Samsung Note 9 Smartphone.
I see a lot of threads for Verizon and ATT and I don't want to be in the wrong place.
Like everyone else, I want to dig into the threads and root my Note 9.

Yes this is the correct place, the threads aren't broken up by carrier anymore also unless you have the Exynos version (which I assume you do not because you said that's on T-Mobile) Root is not available for the Snapdragon variant and I believe it hasn't been since the Galaxy S7?

Yup! You're in the right place! However, there is no root for the US Note 9s with the Snapdragon processor. Only the international versions have unlockable bootloaders and/or root. But the problem with an international version is no warranty and you won't have as great of a signal due to differences in supported radio bands and lack of carrier aggregation. Though some people in the US have had luck with them.
Also once you unlock the bootloader and root, you break Knox, which is permanent. Once that happens you'll never have Samsung Pay, Secure Folder, etc...again.

The Note 8 HAD root. Samfail was patched long ago when Oreo came out. The developer of Samfail said it was impossible to root the Note 8 now.

Yeah, but he'll lose carrier aggregation, so poorer signal strength, and US Warranty. And once rooted, Samsung Pay, etc.
What I want to do, but not in any specific order
Glad I made it here!!!
Thanks for the reply everyone who chimed in.
Here we go again with the no "root" from the 7 edge to this . . .
T-Mobile had this promotion that was hard to pass up so I upgraded.
What I want to do, but not in any specific order
Root
De-Bloat the bundled apps that I will not use
Install recovery tools
Install backup tools (need root)
Pimp out the kernel
It take me awhile to navigate around XDA to look for these tools and such.
I have never used Samsung Pay nor am I onboard with that service.
If anyone knows where I can find some of these tools, please don't hold back because it will take me awhile to get started.
Thanks Again!

appart from using adb to disable packages, none of the above list is possible without root.
nothing has changed regarding if the device is unrootable then these things aren't possible.

Root is not possible. Root will not be possible. You bought a phone that can't and won't be rooted. The developer of Samfail said it was impossible.
You can't have root.
Just in case you want to root the T-Mobile Note 9...you can't.
Ok, no one has provided a root or cooked a Kernel . . .
Are there any rooted roms that were baked?
Silly to ask, but are there any pure android roms for this Note 9?

I'm not sure why you're so confused. The bootloader can be unlocked. So no custom ROMs. NONE. There is no root and never will be.
What you're asking is impossible.
