[Q] Hmmm Weird one for you all please help me understand whats gone on .

I have a weird question for you .
this morning i connected my xperia t to pc companion to trasfer some stuff across to the pc .
when i did i was alerted to a possible update .
not usual you may think hey especially with the jellybean update that's come out.
the thing is that i have been using jellybean for a while now and have been documenting it for some time on Esato and here on XDA .
I was using .489 update on my UK Generic Xperia T ( Simfree ) and was hoping that when i connected it the .492 update was available with some of the bug fixes that is so badly needs at the moment as the jellybean update that came out was not really to be honest up to scratch .
ive followed the update procedure and low and behold i still have .489 ?
Does anyone have the foggiest on whats going on ??

Hi mate, I had exactly the same thing this morning, but now I've updated my battery has got worse again :banghead: also 2 new pictures have appeared in my gallery

see now i did not get that though lol , sorry to laugh , but these updates are becoming a joke mate .
have you ever taken these pictures yourself at all mate ,
if not it would see that the update services are becoming very buggy.

Someone there said it's the bootloader update whatever that brings.
As for my pictures I never took them myself and as far as I know they only appeared this morning after the update, weird or what.

Think the bootloader update refers to the car picture.

Samsung Galaxy Gear Smartwatch - Specs

So apparently, the Samsung Galaxy Gear Smartwatch will have flexible display. I listed some specs from the source article. There is also a video of how it would look like based on the design patent filing by Samsung in Korea.
This thing is expected to be announced on September 4th.

Oh our little wrist warmer has come a long way...

Still loving mine, and enough to buy the Gear 2 as soon as I can. Not sure what all the bad reviews were about, especially those that came later after a few updates on things like Notifications. I was cleaning house and got a call from my son, and we talked for a long time with him saying the voice quality was great. I use the Pedometer every day with S Health to keep in shape now too.

This is awesome. I just knew, or hoped they'd update the camera to perform better.
Though I have zero complaints, as my photos are amazing.

I haven't noticed any major improvement - pictures are still quite soft in particular human hair in portrait mode is an issue the same with noise levels at lower iso, and I agree on the Dynamic Range being an issue too. Hopefully, Samsung will continue the development or perhaps and more likely we get a Google Camera Port from the Pixel 3.

My camera works great. I will believe it when I see it about the new update. Samsung might fix one thing but break another.

When we can expect this release?
My phone shows that it already has September 1 security updates. Will I get this camera ota update or not..

Good, I knew something was odd about my photos. It just didn't look as good as my previous phones (s8/note8)

The report I read was that it was seen/released in Germany. We'll probably get it next year.

Time to download DBT stock ROM and flash over my "latest update" XME ROM

Considering this update has been in testing the last two weeks I doubt it will handle the blurring people are seeing on pets. Hopefully the freeing issues get fixed but I wouldn't bet on that.
Maybe I'm a pessimist but I don't take their change logs at face value. I'll get happy when I see results.

Question Mi 11 Ultra on xiaomi.eu 12.5.10 won't update FlipBuds Pro

I'm running a Mi 11 Ultra on xiaomi.eu 12.5.10, it's a nice experience. To make it nicer I have some Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro that arrived today.
The Mi 11 Ultra recognises the FlipBuds and I can get the special config screen: accessed via a notification rather than the popup window or via bluetooth settings.
However this config area for the FlipBuds does not allow firmware updating from 6.5.5.6 to the new firmware, it is just telling me that I'm up to date.
Any suggestions? I'd prefer to not download a chinese app but will if I have to, but where do I even get that app and what is it?

Sorted it with Xiao AI app and translating a tiny bit of Chinese.
Firmware updated and then uninstalled the app.
There are significant improvements in this firmware. Overall the active and passive noise cancellation with these is incredible.

I agree with you, the update takes the buds to another level.

Why not update to the latest stable ?

Question X30 Pro S3SQ32.16-72-12

Security patch up to October 2022. The lists for updates and optimizations are very long - system, network, wallet, Ready for, camera, desktop, game and 3rd party.

After some tests on the camera:
- 4K video recording is available for wide and tele. However switching lens during recording video only works at 1080p.
- AF works under 4k/8K video still not working properly at 60fps or 8K/30fps
- Sadly 50MP camera is still not available to other apps.

Thanks for the notice - just tested it myself. 4k 60fps and 8k focus seems to have changed a bit but still dont work. 8k now TRIES to focus after about 2 to 4 seconds, 4k 60 still does not.
Whats the version of your camera app? Open camera, go to settings and then about. Last entry.

Is there any speed improvement in 200MP mode?
According to my calculations it shouldn't take more than one second to take a 200MP picture with this sensor.
And Xiaomi 12T Pro, which has the same sensor takes 200MP pictures instantly.

Installing with Lenovo resque app did the job, though wiped everything.

The same update came to the global version today.
