Is there a way to get audio output while its connected to the pc to get the audio from pc speaker? Since usb c port is commen for data transfer and audio output, I saw this as a possibilty. But I don't know the way through.

Does anyone know if it is possible to just use the USB cable to connect to a PC, and then to play the Audio from the HTC to the computer with out and Audio adapter in the middle? Currently I have my Fuze connected with an audio adapter but I think its clunky sitting on my desk with two cables coming out and then connecting to the Computers audio in and USB. Also that will free up my audio adapter to use somewhere else. Any help would be great. Thanks
not the best solution
Ok so this isn't my best solution but its the best I've come up with. So my computer has bluetooth. So...I set up the Bluetooth gateway to pipe through my computer as a headphone. It works but I wish there was anotherway to to do it without bluetooth.
how dyou get your computer to act as a speakerphone? mac or pc?
How I did it
So basically you have to turn on Bluetooth on your phone and have it on on your PC/Laptop. Then just connect and as long as you have your Bluetooth Audio Gateway setup it will use your computer to play what your phone speakers use to. This usually works, but sometimes it gets hokie and I have to turn off the bluetooth and try again.
Aim: I would love to get a digital audio signal from my Gnote to feed an external DAC (then onto a headphone amp). Some have tried a DAC directly attached to the micro USB port, but apparently it doesn't work.
Question: Using an MHL to HDMI cable, then a box such as this...

...would it provide a pure digital audio signal using (say) the stock music player?
Thanks in advance.
Hello,
I just got a hdmi to dvi converter so I could plug the microusb to hdmi adapter to my monitor via dvi.
However the galaxy note wants to push audio out to the monitor which obviously is for picture only.
I want the audio to come back out from the speakers again, does anyone know an app that can switch audio outputs? I tried googling but nothing pops up that forces android to output audio to certain outputs, like speaker or headset.
Thanks.
Haven't tried this app.
But maybe this will do it:

Tried that app but doesnt have option to select audio outputs
Just has volume options.
There doesnt seem to be an HDMI setting either after plugging in the hdmi adapter.
get a Y splitter for audio cable. get a male to male audio cable.
Uplug your speaker audio cable from your computer. Lets call this the speaker cable.
plug the y cable into your audio jack to your computer.
Plug your speaker cabe into one of the Y splitters.
Plug one end of your male to male audo cable into the other side of the splitter.
Now plug the last part into your phone. its a work around, but cheap and easy work around.
parts here:

Under $5. radio shack will cost you $9 for the splitter itself. I just got it a few weeks ago
please tell me the brand of hdmi mhl you have with a link if possible and the converter for the hdmi > dvi. I cant get mine to work for my nexus.

Sorry for the late reply.
Has anyone tried to use an hdmi to usb adapter to hook chromecast to a stereo with a usb input and built in DAC?
If this works it would be a great cheap way to stream google music to my amp with a built in DAC. I'd like to avoid the BT route.
I guess the big issue would be if the audio format was readable for a dac after being pushed through a HDMI to USB converter.
Thanks ahead of time.
Does the Nexus 6 support USB headphone adaptation? Older phone aux port is problematic. Can I use a USB adapter for audio purposes, while using standard headphones.
What do you mean when you say the headphone connection is problematic? Has it failed, or are you just not a fan of it?
Regarding using USB headphones, it probably will not work only because there is a dedicated (and superior) input for the purpose, meaning no need to add the capability to the USB connection. You probably would have better luck simply using a pair of Bluetooth headphones.
When plugged in standard headphones output is staticky and choppy. I am just curious if I can use the USB port to run audio from instead of the standard aux port.
And I answered your question. Use a Bluetooth headset as USB likely won't work.
BTW, your headphone jack needs to be cleaned. A drop of alcohol and plugging a pair of headphones in and out a few times should fix it.
