Am i missing something here. Can some one from the Global model maybe upload their theme apk? Wondering if its an issue with the Canadian Firmware.

Ive figured out a way to trick the devices which are restricted to local themes due to not having the Huawei ID. Posted a guide in the General

EVA-L09 version number

Hi guys!
2 weeks ago I received an update with this number:
EVA-L09C900B191
But awkard things started like:
Bloatware from a French carrier and I'm from Portugal with a unlocked version
Everytime I search for this version number at Google, nothing seems to exist, not even a changelog
And the "themes store" is totally gone and I only can use the themes that I already had.
Someone has the same version? Its just to know If I am the only one with this "problem"
Thanks!

Hello!
Same problem here. From Portugal with this update and also having problem with theme store. Can't access to it.
Regarding the bloatware I think that I have that problem since I bough this phone.
I hope that nougat fixes this problem.

each time you have this problem, or every time you se a "C900", it means, that your p9 had a software modification, its not that bad, but if you want updates you will have to do them manually, and the themes you can download them and install them on the HWTHEMES folder on your phone,

Really? Didn't knew that. Always learning, thanks
Anyway I sent a email to Huawei assistance reporting this issue.
Hi there.
I was thinking about that C900 version and I searched a way to change that version:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/how-to/how-to-change-cust-c900-c432-t3392824
After this tutorial I already have de nougat update through HiCare App.
Thanks for the help that I needed to resolve this issue

Huawei US Firmware?

Hello, total noob here. So recently got a p20 pro, and is loving it so far. However, I got the Chinese firmware version C00. From my understanding, there is a US T-Mobile version. I was wondering, how can I go about changing it? Does it involve flash or something like that? Any help would be great!

I put this list together to illustrate the different variants of this phone.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20-pro/how-to/huawei-p20-pro-variants-t3797524
The phone you have is probably the AL00. This phone is not sold in the US because of political unrest between US Congress and Huawei. There is no 'T-Mobile version', nor are there any US versions. However, I can confirm that the L29 works perfectly here in the United States even though it uses Asia Pacific branded firmware.
Are you having any problems with software on the phone? If not, just root and enjoy!
Hey. Currently I'm running AL01 I was wondering if you have a guide to switch to the international version. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Looks like nsilva.android was able to flash AL01 to L29 via this thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...-to-root-debrand-remove-retail-t3788326/page8
Check out some of his responses before that page - but it looks like its possible.
I will be attempting sometime int he next week. I'll try to get an instruction set together

New V9.0.0.211 - Firmware Finder loads of new versions with strange names

Hi All,
I've had a google and can't find anything about this so wondering if anyone knows what is up with firmware finder? Loads of new firmwares appeared today all at once.
The attached screenshot is from the CLT-L09C782 version but seems to be happening to other versions too.
My guess is that it's now showing beta's that we didn't previously have access to.
How are we supposed to work out which to use going forward? I would love to force a newer version but need it to be certified for google pay etc.
Type on phone dialer: *#*#2846579#*#* (ProjectMenu)
From that go to 2. Veneer Information.
Than 1. Version Info.
Now scroll down till you will find: Product Component version, Base Software Version.
I am now on CLT-AL00C00B181 (pie b181).
However, it appears to mine version too: Product-CLT-LGPR1-CHN 9.0.0(P), and CLT-LGRP1-CHN 9.0.0.181.
So I suppose, that the new names stands for simplifying the huawei firmware namings.
It will not be multiple versions but 2 (maybe): CLT-LGRP1 for asian market (CHN) and CLT-LGRP2 for the rest (OVS).
But again this is my logic.
Anyway, I didn't know how update, since those new firmwares contains not 2 but just 1 zip file (full_base).
Just an update:
If you chose in FF the model name: CLT-LGRP1 (for CHN) or CLT-LGRP2 (for the rest) you will find the same firmware version as earlyer with older name convention. (This stands for PIE only)
Example: CLT-LGRP1-CHN 9.0.0.181, 167, 156, ... 110. Same versions as earlyer just with modified names.

Thank you for the explanation. Hopefully someone will figure out how to force the updates in the near future. I liked the Firmware Finder eRecovery option so hopefully that can be adapted to work.
This would make sense, well spotted. Relatively unified os.... Before the operators get their hand son it. However the naming makes it difficult to know which to install via ff as there's many different versions eg 204 211 all released on same day....

Also doesn't this go against the arrangements eg seperate regions..... One specifically for the UK?

It certainly is confusing now there's no way to tell which version is for which region of which device. No way of knowing if it's L09, L29, C782 etc.
Hopefully someone will figure it our or the FF people will update the app so show extra details if that is possible.
Probably been done specifically to block people using the likes of ff on behalf of the networks cos they had a tantrum [emoji23]

I didn't get to check it with eRecovery method, but it worked for me with modified HiSuite method without any problem (updated C432 from .163 to .195).
For now I didn't find any of the .2XX builds to be approved for installation.
So out of curiosity (boredom) I've done a bit of browsing with the help of Google translate, it seems lgrp is the component level name given to the devices. And upon checking on FF only .211 has been "approved for installation" so I'm currently downloading the file directly to check filenames as it seems the uncompressed file may still have the region number in it. If I don't report back...... My phones dead lol

So file contents give no indication of specific region, and even accepted and allowed updates fail once reach the erecovery stage.... Just getting "getting package info failed" over and over.
So not only are Huawei **** at releasing the updates but they're pretty adept at blocking us from taking alternate routes

Can someone check the fingerprint for the US and Indian Version?

Hi All,
I'm hoping someone can check the device fingerprint and possibly post a build.prop for the US and Indian versions of this phone.
I've got a CN phone that I'd like to experiment with.
Also wondering if someone has access to the RAW files for these two versions.
I didn't want to clog the CN to WW thread with this discussion.

+1 for this. I have the Tencent CN version on the way and hope to tinker with it right away.
I will be very happy if the US/IN versions are the same hardware wise as the CN Region

Build update for Android 10 found

Hello everyone,so i was busy doing some internet searching about our XZ2 with the bugs being experienced and found this while reading an article. Now i know this specific update is for the XZ2 Premium, but seeing that our device shares the same build names with the Premium,i am wondering now if there is an update out there already.
I have had a look on Xpericheck and havent found this particular build listed for any of the XZ2 Premium devices there,so i am now wondering if anyone has more info on this. Is there an update being released in Japan currently or not? I have tried to include a screenshot but am unable to for some reason
This is the build
