I need help rooting or resetting these if possible. I have the proof of purchase for them all so in case anyone was wondering, this isnt a scam.
I would be willing to pay if someone can help me out!!

Did you ever find a fix to this issue? I am literally in the exact same boat as you and cannot get any of them unlocked.

Calling T-Mobile for G1 Unlock

Hey there guys. Please don't be angry for making another ****ty "how to unlock G1" thread. I wanted to post in the recent one, but i guess it got closed.
Well here is my question. I'm about to trade my TyTn II for G1. The problem is that the G1 is bought in Austria(T-Mobile) and i live in Slovenia. If i'm gonna call T-Mobile what should i say? My english isn't all that great, but i think i can handle it. The only problem is, if they are gonna speak German...
Lets say, they speak english. What should i say? I don't think you just say:" hey could you give me the code to unlock my G1?"
Maybe i'm a little annoying, but if there is anyone who is willing to help, i will be very grateful.

Think the policy is a lil different in other countries other than the US. We would normally say we are going out of the country so we need to unlock it to use an alternate sim. But in the UK they charge a fee unless you have been a customer for over a certain amount of time. I know its alot longer than the 90 days we have.
So there is no way to unlock it?
Edit: This is legit right? http://www.unlock-tmobileg1.com/
Cause if there isn't other way i'll just pay those 19€. That isn't so expensive.

My advice is buy one off eBay. Reasoning being, any website like that can make all the fake testimonies they want, and you could get screwed very easily. If you go to ebay you can choose a seller with good feedback who is clearly legit. I think I got mine from GSMcredits or something...

Thanks for the advice! That really helped me. I went to search over Ebay and found some interesting offers. And they are actually cheaper then the site i gave you link before!
Anyway, i think this is 100% legit, since this seller is very popular.

Calling T-Mobile only works if you are a current customer. If you aren't (and I assume that is the case) then find someone who is to call for you.

As long as they give you the correct code it will work on any G1, so you should be fine. That seller looks legit, due to the high rating too.

Thanks for the answer! I'm getting my G1 on Monday then!
Yay. I got my white G1 today and i bought a code of ebay from the guy mentioned few posts above. Payed 10€ and got the code within 15min. Phone is now unlocked and i can't be more satisfied! G1 is awesome
Sweet, I had to unlock mine the first week cuz tmobile gets bad service here. The first site you posted is where I got my code, so they are legit. And don't worry about rooting and flashing roms because it wont mess up your unlocked status.

Cool. Thanks for the info!
Just thought I'd add that I've (just) used the guy mentioned above (ebay profile link) to have my UK G1 unlocked and it worked just fine.
The code came within 10 minutes, tested and works OK.
Cheers,
Smiffy.

If you can root it you can unlock too I think try to search in X10 forums not ahve big differences from x10 mini pro
Not every site does the X8 though even if they do the X10\mini. Maybe it's because it's a newer phone? $40 to unlock a phone is too much!

bitye are you sure you can unlock it if you root the system? my wild guess is that the network lock trigger must be somewhere within the system, or at least the system can access it, therefore it pops up. does anyone know where this file can be found and how to edit it?
i've been searching the hell out of forums and never found any info relating to that. please share
I had my X8 unlocked by http://www.htccode.com/, was unlocked within 10 mins of payment
what network was your phone locked to?
did they send you software to unlock your phone with or did you send imei and they sent you an unlock code to enter
my phone was origionally locked to o2 - UK
did they send you software to unlock your phone with or did you send imei and they sent you an unlock code to enter?
basically they send you the software for the phone, but they do remote session you for a min, was a bit dubious at first but all was good
i tried that through someone else but didnt work and said remote dongle server not working, were you given credits to unlock? if so do you know how many you had/used to unlock?
they dealt with the unlock remotely, I just sat and waited till it was completed
well its worth a go for the price.
but i do advise u wait till online supports online, it cost me $40.00 USD initially see here http://www.htccode.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=3160
were they online today when you did it then?
it isnt working for me but then i only paid 20$ because thats the link i had, do u reckon i need to pay another 20$ to have a total of 30 credits?
they were online the night i done it, sorry i should have said that sooner, erm i'd suggest messaging them regaurding that, i'm sure you would be able to get it unlocked with the additional $20 :\
anyone know what the hours are for the live support on htc code?
For anyone in the UK
$40.00 USD = £25.1969 GBP at time of posting...
£25.82 through paypal to be more precise.
Hehe I have no idea get it unlocked in the end?
yeah should have it unlocked tomorrow, they sent me all the remote software stuff and all the login details, i'll report back tomorrow.

So your buying a stolen/lost nexus 6. Awesome.
Best thing is download a tool kit, and just flash the stock firmware. You'll be set then.

Chances are, no. You will not be able to do anything with it, without the Google account password it's asking for. This is a new security feature of 5.1. It could be that the seller forgot to remove their account information or that the device has been lost or stolen. Contact the seller.
I think seller was try restore etc. And now reselling on ebay, so is no chance to use a phone anymore ?

If the device is on 5.1, no, not without access to that password.
I think is 5.1 but is the eBay auction number 171768427083

Help with my secondhand Note 5? (device protection lock)

Yesterday I bought a Note 5 from a guy including the original package and the receipt. I realised that it has this Device Protection triggered (the new feature on lollipop which locks the phone when the phone is factory reset while still having the lock screen enabled and requires the original owner to log in with his google account). I asked him to meet me again for him to log in which he refused as he thinks it is unnecessary and now he is not responding since. So I'm just stuck here with the brand new locked device. Anyone know what I can do? Can it be unlocked via warranty as I have the original receipt? Thanks

Contact Samsung to find out. Warranties and laws regarding them are different in every country. I don't think anyone here will be able (or willing) to help. We have no way to know if you paid for the device, paid for a stolen device, or stole it yourself. (I'm not accusing you of anything - just pointing out that folks here on xda developers have no way to know.)
Good luck.

Samsung won't be able to do anything about it. They have nothing to do with Android's device protection. Google support is probably your only solution, and you'll need to keep at it until you get directed towards somebody who does know. I'm not sure they'll be able to help you, but apart from convincing the guy you bought it from to meet again, it's all you can do.
Honestly, you'll probably have an easier time convincing the guy to unlock it than convincing Google support you actually purchased the phone.

hi,
just a few pointers to consider....original receipt?
from Samsung or cellphone shop /provider
or from person you bought it from ... or who ?
Why don't you approach them.. for assistance ?
Another point, that warranty that you got, is it "transferable"...? to a 3rd party.(in your case)
In my country and my experience you get very few companies. /shops that would accept /honor, warranty if sold to 3rd-party?.(resold on the sidelines)
I found that even when a customer bought device cash, the company (seller) normally has some record of the original customer and in some cases you have to register device to be entitled to be covered re warranty. It might be different where you are.. i don't know.. i mention it in my post that you can consider it. If not applicable, plse ignore above.
good luck
Hey guys!! Thanks for the replys
After going thru all the possible places (Samsung, google, retail shop the phone was bought from), the only answer is to reach the seller no matter what...
I nagged my seller and explained every single part of the problem and then he finally decided to meet me and log in for me which he did!
However, I seriously feel that Google has to do somethimg about this device protection. For example, allowing the seller to generate one time code for the buyer to log in when they can't meet and don't want to dhare the password, or something that seller can disable this on a computer.. just something.
Well I hope my case gave you some heads up
When selling/buying an Android higher than 5.1, always check the device protection.
If youre a seller, factory reset after disabling the lock screen!
Cheers guys
How did you buy it and pay for it? eBay and Paypal, then just raise a dispute. The £500 or so blocked funds on his account should wake him up. At least it's sorted now.

P30 Pro blacklisted

Hello!
Some scumbag sold my wife a phone that became blacklisted just over a month later. I thought it was a legit transaction as I got the original receipt even. Turned out they claimed that phone was lost to the device protection insurance that was also purchased to get replacement phone.
F***ng Rogers Canada does not want to remove it from the blacklist even though they investigating the original purchase as being fraud. I found few ads about "IMEI fixing" but they do not do P30 Pro (at east not yet)
Does anyone know any method to fix IMEI? Or anyone who would do this?
Thanx!!!

Any chance you paid with PayPal or another online service that you can dispute with? Credit card dispute?
If you paid cash, you're definitely SOL =\
SOL, cash... I know
Same situation for me
I'm looking for solutions to unlock it and the only solution right now would be to root the phone and change the IMEI. And it seems we can't rooted this Huawei at the moment.
If you find a solution before me, I would be very interested. Tks
Carrier blacklists are the worst. They only hurt good customers. Screen your customers better and make them pay, not other folks
Unfortunately seems like due to Huawei locking the bootloader for good removed the option to fix IMEI.
I tried like 10 places that do this for Samsungs and others and this was the reply i got...
Enabling 'manufacture port' under background settings>USB port settings will help to repair imei without root? I bought p30 pro from private seller recently, and having feeling that its going blacklist soon
So - just got the phone fixed for CAD $100. Took the guy 10 mins, says he's been doing it for a couple of years for Huawei phones. I am glad and grateful but still would like to know how to do this. Can't believe there is nothing about this on XDA.
IMEI unchanged, he said that he changed something in a file system and that the fix survives phone resets and system updates.
Does anyone have an idea what was done?
THX

Hi,
Im based in Ireland and sadly in a similar situation where I bought a P30 Pro for my partner only for the seller to report it stolen 2 weeks later (we presume). Bottom line is the IMEI is blacklisted and I'm hoping to make some use of the phone again. Would it be possible to pass on the person that can make the phone working on my network please privately or perhaps point me in the direction to help remedy this in some way, thanks!
