I already went through the unlock steps with AT&T and now I am having a problem with setting up my APN settings for T-Mobile. When I reset the APN settings to default, which now show T-Mobile, the ability to change the ipv4 settings are greyed out. The same thing occurs when I try and add a new APN, no other option other than a greyed out ipv4. I've reset the cache, did a factory reset on my phone yet the same problem exists. I haven't been able to find any solutions to this problem, does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Hi folks,
I'm running 2.24.161.1 (4.2.2) with vodafone branding.
My One cannot get APN settings from the provider, it never could, so I manually configured the APN for my default network, which works.
I was in Spain recently and I wanted to roam a little, but as my mobile cannot get the settings from the provider I tried to manually configure the APN again, this is where I ran into my problem.
I can create a new APN, I can change all settings as I need them and I can save it and activate it. However this only works as long as the MCC is set to 262. When I tried to configure MOVISTAR APN with MCC 214 and tried to save it the APN was just gone.
I don't get any errors or whatsoever. I can modify the APN and save all changes as often as I want, but trying to save an APN with MCC not set to 262 results in the APNs disappearance, its simply gone from the list. This also happens when I modify an exisiting APNs MCC value and save it - the APN will be gone from the list and I have to recreate it.
Is it likely to be a problem with the branded software version? I like the One as it is otherwise, I see no reason to unlock, root, flash other stock and thereby loose all my settings and reconfigure the phone again, but if that would solve the problem with foreign APNs I guess that is what I will do.
Anyone know what is causing this problem and how to solve it?

Hi, i have changed setting of prefered bands with *#*#4636#*#* and everything worked fine.
But after a reboot, the data connection has gone and also APN settings menu.
as u can see on screenshot "Network Mode" and "Access point names" disappeared
Please help!
Why did you change the Band setting??
A simple factory data reset should resolve it
I would revert the settings back to how they were and see if that works
You may have set the phone to be incompatible with your sim/service providers network frequency

I'm trying to restore a TWRP backup that I made right after unlocking and rooting on stock ROM. But whenever I restore and boot the device, I have no cellular data whatsoever. I'm on T-Mobile and I'm choosing the fast.t-mobile.com APN in Settings (already selected), which obviously worked when I made the backup. Why isn't it working now?
When I restore back to my current custom ROM on the same APN cellular data works fine again. What's going on? The only difference I see is that in Pure Shamu ROM the APN is named T-Mobile US LTE instead of T-Mobile GPRS on stock ROM. But the settings look the same?
Any help is appreciated.
Double check the T-Mobile LTE APN is correct, you need the one with the - in it.
I think it's here. If you are off even one character, no workie. Page down to Network section.

I had the SAME EXACT issue... and I found how to fix it.
When its not working, Go into data usage settings, overflow menu, cellular networks, then access point names - click on the T-movile GPRS (fast.t-mobile.com) and make sure APN protocol is IPv4 and APN roaming protocol is IPV4 also make sure Bearer is set to LTE.
Hey folks. Last week I picked up my new Moto G5S+ and activated it on my AT&T cell plan. As I was poking around in the APN settings to confirm that the setup correctly configured the AT&T APN, I screwed up and deleted another APN profile in there named "IMS".
Of course, now I'm trying to add it back (although unsure if I need to) but need some help with the correct APN settings. Does anyone have that information?
Never mind, I found my own answer. It was as simple as resetting the network preferences in the settings menu and resetting the APNs to "default".
All is well.
I was using shortcut master to change apn settings. Today it was greyed out after hotspot failed to turn on. Not sure if a data update or prl update happened. I have my msl code from sprint to unlock the phone and change the apn settings however when I type the msl in and go to the apn settings it's still greyed out any ideas?

##brand#
Then use short cut master
Latest note 8 update will make it stop working in seconds

I did that thanks it worked! I think the profile and prl updated because I've been on 8.0.0 and it was working fine. Scared me for a second. Good to know to use that.
