Camera compared to 9T Pro - Xiaomi Mi 9 Questions & Answers

Hey guys, is something known about camera quality differences between mi 9 & 9T pro ? Is it the same camera?
Thinking about buying the mi 9, but will wait till 9T Pro, if the camera is superior.
Thank you.

The Mi 9T is just a rebadged Redmi K20 Pro, which in turn has the same camera setup as the Mi 9. You can get a Mi 9 on Amazon for $364, so I see no reason to hesitate in buying one.

K20 Pro is a bit cheaper though...

Camera setup isn't the same neither the sensors
48mp + 12mp + 16mp Mi9
48mp + 8mp + 13mp K20 Pro
They also have different apertures and sensor sizes

I guess they should be the same as on Mi9 SE

Sensor size is much bigger in Mi9; 1/2 inches compared to 1/4 in K20 pro. This results in considerably better raw image and natural dof.

Cameras are not the same.

The main camera is exactly the same. Wide angle and telephoto cameras are different. Seems that the 9T Pro is using the same cameras as the Mi9SE. You should get slightly better result on Wide angle and telephoto on the MI9 (we should wait for a comparison test) but the main camera output should be the same (though I don't know why I feel the Redmi's output is slightly better than the Xiaomi's).

S5 neo camera review and samples

This goes to Samsung S5 neo owners. How do you experience the camera on the S5 neo? Feel free to post pictures taken with the camera.
p.s. Moderator, please create a sub-thread for Samsung S5 neo.
Camera is 1.9f....S5 is 2.0....?
excelent cam....
Im just mad about video recording's frame rate in apps like snapchat, instagram because in these apps, s5 is recording so smooth videos. I don't know that is that camera's fault or what? By the way, system camera is great for me and those 5mpx in front camera looks beautiful

I finally received my phone and I must say I really like it. The camera is very capable but one need to keep very still to take non-blurry pictures with the stock camera. Camera MX seems to better in this case. I think the stock camera over-expose pictures a little bit as well.
I have a brand new s5 neo 903-w, canadian version, and I'm not able to take a decent pic
I mean there is still a blur effect and some noise, even outside during a sunny day :/
I could expect that in a low light condition...
My old micromax, indian brand, 13mp take better pics
What can I do?

Two devices, different behaviour

Hi there, I got 2 Xiaomi Redmi 4X devices, both rooted, running Xiaomi.EU rom.
Now, I've enabled HAL3 API on both devices but I've found a weird difference between the two devices, could it be possible that Xiaomi used different camera sensors?
Device one (with google CAM working perfectly, HDR, ... etc ...)

Device two (with google CAM crashing when opening)
Device two crashlog:
Does anyone who any ideas, suggestions tips?
Thanks in advance!
ofcourse possible.
As i know redmi 4x aka Santoni used Samsung or Sony for sensor of Rear Camera.
So it possible for different capability of each sensor.
As far as I know xiaomi has used Samsung camera for rear and omnivision camera for the front for Redmi 4X santoni.
It may be differ by country or region.
You can find camera sensor by going into engineering mode in about phone.( Actually I forgot how to go to engineering mode since it's been long I haven't used MIUI or Xiaomi.Eu ROM)
Or use hardware information app for camera details.
If in any case camera's are different then there could be restrictions of performance of camera and it capability.
Google camera doesn't work properly when used with MIUI or in xiaomi.eu ROM.
Just want to ask, does this two phone running on same ROM version of xiaomi.eu? Sometimes software might be issue.

Front cam only 5mp?

So, Ive installed Footej camera and gcam. Both of them shows the front camera as 5mp max. Does it have the same pixel binning like the rear camera? Footej knows that the rear is 48mp, but front 5mp.
Yes it has

I know its 20, but third party apps show 5. That's why I'm asking dummy.
Check what resolution photos are when taken from footej. The 48MP rear camera and the 20MP front camera pixel bin by default, meaning that for every app other than the stock camera in 48MP mode, they will shoot in 1/4 the resolution. The binned resolution is what is shown to the camera api.

Some book apps will alter user hidden settings and adjust the display tint. If you uninstall that app with that toggle on, a poorly written app will leave it like that! The only easy way to correct it is through the app that caused it... then uninstall the app.
Conversely it could be a 3rd party app doing it, hopefully uninstalling it will correct the issue.
Try running it in Safe mode to see if it's a 3rd party app (barring the above exception).
Try clearing the system cache.
Try a hard reset.

Question How is the experience with Redmi Note 10 pro/Max in 2022?

Was waiting for Redmi note 11 series, but it seems I'll have to skip it as it's expensive. So planning to Redmi Note 10 pro/Max at the moment. But I've always heard two most common issues with it that is Heating issue and Buggy MIUI. So are the issue still present? Also are the issue so serious that we can skip the phone or is it just overrated? How is the Battery life holding?
I'm looking for an all rounder phone under 20000 and honestly can't find any phones as good as RN10pro except Moto G60, but I've skipped it as it is too tall and not wide.
Rn10 pro is just fine this year as it was the year before. I don't find myself wanting for better performance and I don't see myself upgrading anytime soon, or until the phone stops working at least. The performance is ample and the phone heats as much as every other phone out there.
The rn11 is a slight upgrade over its predecessor. It is to rn10 as windows 11 is to windows 10. Not a phenomenal upgrade, and really not worth the extra $$.
Also the rn11pro comes with a Mediatek chip, unlike rn10pro which comes with a Snapdragon.
I say skip Moto G40 and 60 as they both don't have a magnetic sensor (this doesn't sit well with Google Maps), and no amoled display.
If you ask me, I'd say by get the previous year model.
I love my Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro Sweet. It's my Best Smartphone yet. Waiting for Android 13... Currently running MIUI 13.0.0.8 on Android 12 Elite ROM...
