Black screen blinks. need help - Moto E5 Questions & Answers

Hello! Like a month ago i buy a moto E5 xt1944-3. And last 3 days i have this... "Black screen blinks" when i just use it. For example: i unlock the phone, open Gmail or just left in homescreen and the screen turns black some seconds, and go back yo normality and then blinks again that black screen, like 3 or 4 times and then puts black. I turn off the phone, open twrp or bootmode and the screen blinks.when en turn the phone it blinks during the bootlogo animation.
Don't know what to do. Reinstalling the software is useless, and reset factory setings too. I'm thinking un open the cellphone but don't know if it's a software or a hardware problem. PLEASE!!! if someone got any clues, help me. The guaranty of my company don't cover this problems.

You must have had your Nexus for a short period of time.. It's a well known issue. A widget is your best option.
to switch screen off use "screen off & lock" app
to power off ur mobile use "quick boot"

The ****ty flex cable is known to fail and sometimes even permanently break.
With CM7, depending on which version you have, you can wake the screen with the trackball and/or volume buttons, and there are widgets in the Play Store which can handle locking the screen.
I can personally recommend this widget. I use it every day and it never fails: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.soulfulz.android.turnoffscreen

There are apps in playstore which can test the proximity sensor.

Works for me. If yours not working maybe try to clean the area where the sensor is test see if it's working.
Check the Test Menu by pressing *#0*# in the dialer, that's going to bring up the test menu (to exit press the back button a few times). In the test menu look for the button that says "sensors" and in there you should see the proximity sensor data, the ADC should be changing periodically, also try placing your hand above the phone close to the sensor, if it is working properly your phone will vibrate and the screen should turn green. If it doesn't work then your sensor is probably shot, if a hard resent doesn't fix it then should be grounds for a manufacturer replacement if you want to.
If it is working then it might be a setting or an app thats causing your issue.
Note 8 Screen Doesn't Turn Off While in Call
Yes. I have the Note 8 and I am experiencing the same problem. Screen won't turn off when I hold the phone to my ear during a call. When the call is done and I pull the phone away from my ear, it seems that random apps have opened, especially the notification panel. Sometimes it works and the screen will turn off, sometimes it doesn't. I tested the sensor and it works fine. I didn't notice this until the most recent update to Oreo. My Note 8 is AT&T Prepaid - SM-N950U1

Please post the English translation for everyone.
Long ago I have wrote a guide for Proximity sensor reset and should work on N8 too
Edit : removed link as I have found, it won't work on N8
.
It is not the proximity sensor at all. When Samsung did an update they now require you to hit the home screen while on a call then you can shut the phone down manually or let it time out. Or just uninstall Samsung pay. Its as simple as that.
Mine works perfectly fine. If you have had your device for less than 14 days, then I would get a replacement unit. Otherwise take it to a Samsung Service Center and let them take a look at it.

K20 pro display replaced. Screen not getting unlocked

Hi All,
I broke my my Redmi K20 pro display and have replaced it.
With the broken display, all was working except the display. i.e., phone would ring on calls, vibrate, notifications would ring, battery charging did sound. So, assuming that nothing else was damaged.
After display replacement, the screen doesn't get unlocked.
Phone boots properly and asks for pattern/fingerprint. Does not recognise fingerprint and on entering the correct pattern, the screen unlocks for a micro-second and then turns black and then the purple MIUI logo shows and the screen returns to locked state.
Phone performs all functions that can be done from locked screen.
Is the new display being not recognised by the phone OS?
Any assistance would be great.
Thanks a lot in advance.

No, the phone is not formatted. It is using the same ROM as bought.
Try a clean install with backed up data.

If the phone displays boot logo and animations and lockscreen, then that suggests the display is OK.
What you describe actually sounds like the recent wallpaper bug, where a wallpaper image is set, but the image has a colour space not recognised by the OS. Try booting to recovery and doing a factory reset (I'm assuming MIUI recovery gives this option, I can't remember if it does or not)

Hi, were you able to fix this problem?
Yes. I'm currently using the same device.
Kept on unlocking the screen using pattern. Fingerprint recognition puts the device in the reboot sequence. So now I only use pattern unlock.
I tried unlocking about 100 times and then this one time the phone behaved and remained unlocked.
It was like training my pet... lol
All the best.

Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro - Dead Screen

Hi!
I'm here to figure out if someone can help me.
I was using my phone normally, I was trying to unlock it when the screen flashed like 3 times with a blue color similar to the color of the screen when you are trying to unlock the device, it happened like three times, then I rebooted the phone and the screen is black and unresponsive. I can tell that the phone is working in the background because I can feel the touchscreen working, it's also charging, ringing and I can even answer phone calls, it's also connected to my Wi-Fi network, the phone is not damaged and I haven't dropped it recently (a few times some days ago but nothing serious). I'm wondering, is the screen dead? or maybe something's loose on the inside?
