Hi all,
The glass screen protector that is currently on my Mi9 stops the fingerprint sensor from working.
Does anyone know of a protector that doesn't have this problem?
Thanks
Wow really? I randomly bought few from different sellers and all work fine.
https://www.amazon.es/gp/aw/d/B07P85JC2X/ref=ya_aw_oh_bia_dp?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I use samsung m20 protector and its very fit an good
Delete all the previous fingerprints recorded before install the protector and save them now with the protection.
It should work.
I've tried three different protectors, tempered glass and plastic, with no problems.

After fiddling around with a few orzley protectors , a pleson and a few other Tempered Glass screen protectors for the one-plus 3 , every one of them either causes or rainbow effect or somehow does not stick properly. I still regret removing the plastic that came along with the phone.
Is there a plastic protector available with full coverage available preferably in india ?

Anyone removed the screen protector?
I think someone told me that it's not recommended.
But why's that?

I did, because I wanted to try another screen protector. Tried two, neither of them fitted well, so I removed them. The 'naked' screen is fine, but it has no oleophobic coating, so it gets smudgy quite fast. I decided to add a 'nanofluid' liquid protector, which works reasonably well for me. I dropped my P10 a few times from 1 m or so, without damage.

Thank you...:good:
I removed the protector 5 days after I got the phone. The main reason was the ugly border of unprotected screen. After using a full covering glass screen protector for one year, I removed it.
I have two little scratches on the right edge of the display glass. This was unprotected with the stock protector and I don't know if this happened with this protector or without any protector.
I'm using the original flip case btw.
The fluid protectors are crap, they can just increase the hardness of the screen. Huawei used Gorilla glass 5 which is very hard. It should not break instantly when the phone falls on the floor.
Metal and ceramic won't have a chance to scratch it, because the glass has more hardness than metal or ceramic.
But you'll get scratches by tiny dust particles even with gorilla glass 5, because dust can contain some small quartzite and other very hard particles. This particles have more hardness than the glass and can damage it. The fluid protector is so thin that the scratches by dust particles will scratch the display glass, too. So you will not see any differences when using the protector - only if it works oleophobic.

How long does the liquid lasts?

Difficult to say. I estimate a couple of months.
Took mine off screen fine without it on.
I had to remove the factory applied plastic screen.
Now I can't find a single plastic screen protector bring sold for the V10! Has anyone managed to snag one? I'm only finding tempered glass protectors which I don't want (mainly because they look terrible). I'm in India BTW.
Had the same thing the other day.
Finally bought a glass full screen cover. Still looks awesome that way, the only downside is that the fingerprint sensor is now recessed. There also was no hole for the camera, but that doesn't matter at all.

Why did you need to remove the factory cover if you don't mind me asking?
Is the tempered glass listed going to provide shock absorption to prevent cracks to the display in case of falls? (see this horror video)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2fNq9YrjXU
I removed it because of several scratches and smudges. Those bugged me a lot.
Haven't dropped the phone, so I haven't tested it, but the tempered glass should indeed crack instead of the phone screen.

My own personal opinion... keep the factory fitted screen protector on for as long as possible.
(Glass protectors dont work well with Ultrasonic firgerprint reader).

Mine came with one. I spent days trying to figure out why the fingerprint reader barely worked. Then I removed the screen protector which turned out to be just a thin plastic sheet. Now awaiting a TPU screen protector.
They all come with a fitted screen protector
The one that comes with it, preinstalled.

Strange, my fingerprint reader works first time, every time with the screen protector that came with it installed. If you had problems with that, I'd suggest the same will apply with any other you put on your phone.

I use esr. Cheap and works very well. No issues with finger print.
I am using the Tauri flexible TPU screen protector, have found it good up to now, easy to fit with no bubbles when i done it and fingerprint still works fine.
Heres link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08PVK25K3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Skinomi will always be the best choice when it comes to screen protection

TPU protector arrived and was installed and the fingerprint reader still works fine without even being reprogrammed. Not sure if different factory installed protectors are installed in different markets but the one I peeled off was cheap thin flexible plastic.

The US versions did not come with a factory installed screen protector.
IMO the Whitestone Dome is the best you can get the the S21 Ultra.

Even im looking for some quality and reliable screen protectors ,but could'nt possibly find any screen protectors that does its tasks. positively if i find any i will share my experience in this thread.
Used the uv gel glass one. Works great with fingerprint reader. Got from Amazon half price of Whitestone.
Amazon.com: (2 Pack) amFilm 3D Curved Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G 6.8 Inch, Fully Compatible with UltraSonic Fingerprint Scanner, UV Gel Application
Amazon.com: (2 Pack) amFilm 3D Curved Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G 6.8 Inch, Fully Compatible with UltraSonic Fingerprint Scanner, UV Gel Application
www.amazon.com
Install was easy. Might want to use a few drops from the second gel tube on the first install. That was the only thing that was a tad short on the install.
If you are interested the original leather cover by Samsung is absolutely gorgeous and the IMBZBK tempered glass (from Amazon) has a perfect application and the fingerpint sensor works without any noticeable reduction of sensibility (with my old s21 the tempered glasses make the fingerprint sensor almost unusable). The only issue as usual is the screen coverage (but is a fully accettable 1mm of uncovered screen on each side between the cover bumpers) and the punch hole (not the U shape hole, thankfully) on the front camera, but, once applicated this "technical issue" are barely noticeable
I can recommend the Spigen Glass protector.
Foolproof application, covers IMO the whole screen and so far no uses with the fingerprint sensor or using it with a cass
I took the Anoowka one at 8.99€ 'Coz I know most is just a matter of brand but it's the same factory ^^
I got 2 tempered glasses with 2 cameras protections. So far so good. Perfect mm cut. And hopefully with the punch hole

I am using it right know.
Fits perfectly, very very easy to apply, 2 glasses are included, if you should somehow mess up the first one.
Both are already on the plastic template, so no need to fiddle around.
Glass feels very smooth, finger print sensor works with glass better than on my old phone without any protector (Xiaomi Mi 10).
I did reregister my finger prints to be on the save side.
It covers the whole screen including the selfie cam.

Spigen glass is expensive and it is not available on amazon so I was thinking about getting X Glass from Gadgetshieldz which is $15 less than Spigen and they give 2 pieces. Did anyone try this tempered glass?
Spigen arrived and installed from Amazon Italy: absolutely perfect. Barely noticeable on phone (0.5mm of uncovered glass surface, compatibile with any cover i have (spigen and samsung), camera completely covered without any loss of quality and perfect fingerprint reader functionality (i don't have to re-register fingerprint from my previous IMBZBK glass.
"Expensive" product, but is really totally another level: THE tempered glass for S23.
Just a note: the same tempered glass for S21 has serious issue with fingerprint reader: the S23 Ultrasonic is GREATLY improved and work with all tempered glass i tryed (Cellularline, IMBZBK and Spigen)

I immediately went with Spigen, because I had good experience with their phone covers in the past.
It is strange that Amazon in your area doesn't sell these protectors.
I paid 18,89€ (currently available for 25€ -10%, probably because we finally are on the release time frame) on Amazon Germany.
Maybe I paid a Premium price for this one, but so far it did not dissapoint me.

Spigen case ruined my S20FE with many Micro scratches. Never Spigen again for me. And it's too expensive. If I had to chosen, Better try Ringke. Apparently same quality, same made in SK. Less pricy.
But I went with that case I said earlier and received it today and it's enough for now. 8€
I had so far no issues with cases from Spigen..

Yes, I checked with amazon again and it is there for $20 but out of stock here in Canada, so I've ordered 2 pieces from Gadgetshieldz! After I receive both the phone and glass I'll share a review.
