Hi Guys,
The Mi 9 camera is totally unusable to making photos. I do not know what happened with the software, but so many people have been complain this issue in the Mi Community portal, so this issue is common for the all Mi9 user. Furthermore, the photo quality of the macro mode is totally unusable... awful. I really hope the MI team is working on it.
I have took some photos for example, through the link you can find some 1-1 photo, but all of the capture with Mi9 device are bad. Photos: photos.app.goo.gl/xLMhiBJVm8EwtvVCA
Have anyone ever meet with this issue?
Same here 10.2.26.0
Flash to bright
All pictures with Flash are overexposed
Same here
Macro option looks worse than normal photo. Huge detail lose, colors smeared, loose focus. Something really wrong with processing software.
Here is some example: photos.app.goo.gl/xLMhiBJVm8EwtvVCA
I hope the next update fix this

Hi
Got my Hd 7 from o2 pay as you go
Am quiet happy with it, but has anyone noticed that the camera is a bit rubbish or is it jjust me
Camera snaps close up are super brilliant. but the moment you try to snap far away subjects its all blurish
Its seems to have a digital zoom which just blows up to picture to distortion
I have noticed that even the zoom function just blurs it up as well
feed back would be appreciated
It's indeed not the best WP7 camera but it's not too rubish also. It should be no more than decent (while to video recording with continued focus is ace) . Can you provide a sample so we can judge ?
There was also a pink-camera isue with an earlier HTC device (can't remember the exact model) and problem was solved with a quick update.

camera on hd7 does suck... tend to bluish every single shot unless u play with scene mode .... thats one of the reason im trying something else .. maybe focus
Hmm.. do you think that it will be possible that they release an update for this?
Not too keen on getting it if the camera is useless.
I have the awesome pink hue issue with mine... and for the other guy... the other phone with the pink problem was the HD2.
anyone know if this is just the software or is the hardware?
ive noticed too that on long distance shots its horrible on keeping focus of the picture. Though i think that maybe because metering is set to center and it cant focus in that much in the distance.
Though your every day snaps are usually ok for me. No problems with tints or anything and i find the video quality to be decent
I haven't had any problems at all with taking photos on my HD7 - no focussing issues, near or far.
Are you guys half-pressing the camera button to focus first, before pressing it the rest of the way to take the photo?
This seems to be the biggest cause of issues, people not realizing it's a two-stage shoot process, just like with digital cameras.
Note to the OP: Metering is actually light metering and has nothing to do with focussing. If you have metering set to centre, the camera will adjust the exposure according to the brightness of the object in the centre of the shot. If metering were set to "average" it would work out the brightness of the whole frame and set the exposure to that. Nowt to do with focus.
Incidentally, don't forget to ensure the lens is free of dust, fingerprints and other crud as that will obviously make your pics look mushy.
nope i always press on the first stage and let it focus and then press

When I zoom in using the camera, I can see it switch to the telephoto only once I hit 10x zoom. Anywhere up to 10x it uses the main camera, even at 9.9x zoom it's still the main camera. Only above 10x does it switch to the telephoto.
This isn't normal behaviour, is it? Is there a setting I can change? I don't understand why it's doing this.
I believe from what I have read that this is normal.

So how do I use the telephoto camera for 5x zoom? When I set the camera to 5x zoom all I'm getting is digital zoom of the main camera. I check after taking test photos and shots in the range of 1-9.9x zoom all have f1.6 aperture, 10x zoom photos have f3.4 aperture which proves the telephoto is only being used for 10x. Very confusing because I thought the telephoto camera is 5x.
The main camera uses 5X zoom and the telephoto kicks in at 10X, as you mentioned. I don't believe you can change that, but I'm not 100% on it. You may be able to use another "photo app" that will allow it.
I've seen videos of people using their P30 Pro and the camera behaviour is as expected: the telephoto kicks in at 5x and above. I have only seen one video of a P30 Pro behaving the way I've described mine is. Maybe a software issue? I'm on EMUI 9.1.0.110 with no update available yet. VOG-L04.
Hi everyone!
Potential future P30 Pro owner here, but I have a few questions about the device.
I come from Xperia devices (Z, then XZ) and I am looking to upgrade soon. As a matter of fact, I tried out a Mate 10 Pro a few months ago and got really interested in Huawei ever since.
However, when I tried it, a couple of things that I guess I expected to be on every android phone simply weren't there, so here are my questions:
On the Mate 10 Pro, it was impossible to do the following on the lockscreen: expand notifications to interact with them (such as viewing and replying to a sms/whatsapp, preview an email and delete/archive/reply, etc), and it was also impossible to switch from ring/vibrate/do not disturb using the volume button when the phone was locked.
All of this is possible on my XZ and they are very handy features that I would really like to have on my next phone. Was this only Mate 10 stuff, or is that part of the EMUI design?
When I am reading articles or watching review videos, I don't seem to find anyone talking about this, it mostly is about camera and hardware.
On another note, the reason why I returned the Mate 10 was because once paired with my car via bluetooth, the sound when listening to music was crackling and crippled, which definitely ruined the experience. Not related to the app or the car, I tried many different options but it never worked properly. Found out later that it was a rather common issue with this phone at the time (perhaps updates have solved that since.) Anyone can say if this is an issue with the P30 pro or share their experience?
Thank you all for your time and help!
I'm looking to get my wife this phone (she currently has a Mate 10 Pro, but I'm still not 100% sure what works (and doesn't work) on T-Mobile in the US.
I recently started taking more pictures with the phone and I realized the camera on my MI A2 has serious troubles focusing on anything that's farther than a couple of meters. The camera takes spectacular pictures at close range but stuff that's just a bit farther away goes AoF really easily.
I noticed in a couple of posts that people were complaining about the camera dying on them and I started wondering whether I got a faulty camera module or I'm just pushing the limits of this device's camera? Has anybody else experienced a similar problem?
I'm currently posting from my laptop but I could add a few samples taken with the phone if it helps you people understand the issue. Notice that camera2api is currently not active and I'm on MIUI 10 (but the issue was also present on stock - in fact the only way for me to get sharp photos was to activate camera2api, download open camera, activate face recognition and let it auto-focus, which is what makes me think it might be a software rather than a hardware issue, since the camera can focus through open camera).
Hi there, I have an ongoing problem with the main camera on miui 12. My camera works fine with all the shots except for macro photos or when I try to focus on something near. I use both gcam and stock camera app and both results are same.
Here are some example photos. Last one is ultra wide, its not clear because of low Light but it can actually focus.
Up!!! Nobody else has the same issue?
This close focus problem is occuring on my device too, i reset my phone and after using again like a new one, this problem occured ,plz i need a solution
How to solve this issue?
Hi guys,
my girlfriend recently bought a xiaomi redmi note 9 and oh dear, there are so many problems with it. The most annoying problem is the camera quality. It's just really really bad, it's pixelated and you basically can't take pictures with it (it's pixelated, not sharp etc.). The second problem is also related to the camera itself - the snapchat quality. It's actually pretty funny, because everytime my girlfriend wants to take a photo on snapchat she has to shake the phone like crazy to get the camera to take a better quality picture. Otherwise it's pixelated and just bad. Is this a hardware problem? I told her to check for updates etc. but nothing worked.
Also the animations are really really bad. They are laggy and just unsmooth. Whenever she tries to open an app the transition animation is really laggy and it's just unpleasant for the eye. I tried setting the animation scale in developer options to other values, but it didn't help. Again - a hardware malfunction? Or is it more software related?
Would be thankful for your help
May you record it?
Apparentely, you need another phone by warranty.
