Built-in capacitive shoulder triggers - Nubia Red Magic 3 Questions & Answers

I know they can be set to click one spot but do they have the ability to be set up to swipe? Thanks in advance

Hi,
Not that I know of. But with Button Mapper you can configure single tap, double tap and long press.
It's quite nice that way.
Regards.

"Waking" up from Sleep Mode

Anyone know of a software that will enable the user to "wake" up from sleep mode by just touching the screen?

wow someone is lazy. haha. whats wrong with touching the power button?
If you could touch the screen and it would awake from sleep mode putting the device in your pocket would suck ass because 1) you'd be draining the battery quicker than it already drains and 2) if you didn't lock your phone you'd be dialing numbers, starting applications, or turning the volume on. Now, wouldn't it be embarrassing that you were in a meeting and the "Eye of the Tiger" started playing because someone is called you?
oh don't deny the fact that you considered putting a Rocky theme song as your ringtone to motivate yourself each day.
lol
BUT if i had s2u2 then i wouldnt have to worry about that. i love slide to unlock but i see no point in having it if i have to press the power button to wake up the phone AND slide to unlock it.
I've been in search of such progam for a while now and i still can't find one. It was great on my HP Jornada 567 how i can do it, but not with the Tilt

you make a valid argument. However, you still have to consider battery drain with the device in your pocket the backlight would always be on. I like s2u2 as well but it tends to slow the device down considerably, therefore, i stopped utilizing the application.
Good luck on your searching and please report back to this thread if you do find the software you are looking for.
I am just plain too lazy to hit the power button. Could someone make a slide-to- unlock that is active with the screen backlight off?

Try settings-system-key lock-do not lock buttons. Then you can wake up yor phone by pressing any button except the d-pad and center button

Awesome, that works great. Even easier then sliding the phone open a little. Thanks!
s2u2
s2u2 can wake device with any button if you set it in options. you can also map some button to activate s2u2, so you don't need to press power button

hey, this is interesting for me.
Do you mean that by S2U2 I could map another button to perform Sleep function? I am looking for to map On/Off button to the button #6. I would to sleep my tytn through that button.
any help?
thanks
fausto
I use S2U2, have it mapped to my PTT+hold button. Then settings->system->key lock, set it to lock buttons if device is locked. I usually wake it now by flipping the scroll wheel, then slide to unlock it.
I only use the power button to actually power off or on.

thanks gwnorth, this is very usefull and interesting and I will use for the moment, but this is not yet exactly what I am looking for. What I wanna do is to assign to the ptt button the same functions now assigned to the on/off button, I am shure that there is a command to launch and perform sleep or resume when a button is pressed.
btw, thanks again for the suggestion, it is very appreciated.
ciao

you should just set all the options you want in s2u2, and then just assign button#6 to s2u2. right now i'm trying to assign long push of end button to s2u2. you can find something about remaping keys here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=356322&highlight=remap

thanks anti,
I have just installed PHM Keys and it does about 50% of my need. Now when I push the Ptt button it goes in suspend mode. To resume I can use the On/Off button or if i prefer any other button.
thanks,

Is it possible to assing a HW button to X/OK

Sometimes it is hard to press/touch accurately the small X or Ok button in the upper right corner. Is it possible to assign a HW button to it?
would be good to have the back HW button work as the x button!

The button with the arrow left on your diamond actually does exactly what you want.
The only program that comes close to assigning any Diamond hardware key to anything is ae buttons plus, so try that.

Yup. I used to use AE Button Plus when I first got my Diamond and had the (backarrow) key mapped to the Close Application function (as in terminate not minimise). Used to work well for me but then I stopped- you don't really need more than the original function of backarrow (minimise), what with all the performance enhancements the custom ROMs bring about.
yeah...that's what the back button does...the one with the left pointing arrow! it's an OK-cum-Back button...
it works for minimising/closing programs too

Mouse arrow type software on my Fuze

So I down loaded this:
http://www.innovisoft.com/virtuamouse/
Free trial, seems to work as stated. it gives you a mouse pointer that the direction keys control. But I got to thinking that the fuze has a touch sensitive control pad since Gscroll works with it. If one could get them both to work together (including double tap to open) you would have a regular laptop type touch pad control of the phone then. And control it one handed to do almost everything.
Is there a way to get Gscroll to work with this?
Looks good but there are two issues for Fuze users... #1, our directional pad is too low/flat for easy side to side scrolling. #2, the price for this program + Gscroll would be over $30.. lil steep for a virtual mouse.
Maybe someone thats handy at programming would take an interest in it. Doesnt look like much codewise, as both programs (mouse pointer and gscroll) are tiny bytewise. I wouldnt care if you had to swipe 2-3 times on the small Fuze touch pad to move the pointer across the device screen. At least you could do 99% of the control of your device one handed with a thumb then. Right now I have the mouse pointer set to my end call long key press to activate/deactivate it, and using the dpad buttons is a pain, along with having to press the center button as "click". Double tap and swipe on either side of the center button would be easy to control it.
I think, that it can be very useful with adjustable sensitivity. In comparison with Omnia/i780 touchpad,Raphael's space is much more bigger,so it couldn't be a problem. I am interesting too for kind tool.
I 've tried to make it work with Gscroll, but I had no luck...
Not only that, but it disables the gscroll functions...

How did you managed to change the functions of the Long Press End key, could you help me with that, please?

Home button

On my Fuze, I constantly hit the home button when trying to hit the left key, and is driving me nuts. Does anyone have any options for me to try? I'm even willing to disable the dang thing. Just don't know how.
I find very few reasons to hit the d pad keys, other than maybe up/down. Use your swipe gestures on the screen for left/right for most purposes... That's my best advice.
You can try G-Scroll, with that you just swipe you fingers on the touch panel at the bottom to move left, right, up, down and you can also launch apps
the problem is when I do have to use the d-pad. like a game that i'm playing "Peggle" it is very annoying when the game exits and I have to navigate to find the game shortcut, or use task manager. either way it happens all the time.
Can I use g-scroll in all applications?

I think, but I cost money
The Dpad is VERY annoying. My idea (which doesn't seem very popular) is to unmap the functions of the Home and Back button presses completely so they don't interfere with the dpad.
So we don't lose our Home and Back buttons, I suggested remapping the functions to the Home-HOLD and Back-HOLD functions.
This way the only time you actually would go home would be if you press and held the button for a second.
Unfortunately I don't think this is possible right now. The only way to remap the keys is via AEButtonPlus, which works but is clunky and has to run all the time. I'd much rather see a real remap
Or you can use DredSensor...

Event for double tapping the recents button?

Basically, i'd like to be able to double tap my recents button (while using the phone one-handed) as an alternative to stretching my thumb way over to the back button (i've almost dropped the phone several times doing this). I'm not new to tasker and realize i may have to find some other solution, just thought maybe someone here would have a trick up their sleeve?

I use the module Xposed Additions and link a Tasker task for the keyevent I want.
Sent from my g928c powered by RiverRom RR1 and SkyHigh 4.8
Awesome, thanks!
Or another Xposed module named Physical Button Music Control allows you to link a tasker action to ANY hardware/capacitive button.... Even combinations of buttons, double taps, triple taps, holds, etc.... It's very robust
