App compatibility?

So, Just got a tab S2 with 5.02 on it. It's the SM-T815 model. According to the play store, all of the MS office apps are "incompatible" with this device (ie, word, excel). Is this due to the tablet model or the version of android? They run on my nexus 7 with kitkat just fine.

I have five ms app pre installed including word, acess, one note, powerpoint and one drive.

I am Too, and got actually updates from the playstore

They should work, I don't see the reason why it shouldn't, my came pre installed, so I'm not sure why it's not available for download.

Could the S2 4:3 aspect ratio be incomparable with the apps? or at least throwing the comaptibilty checker.

I have the S2 8.0 which is a ratio 4:3.

Why sideload, you can just download direct to the tablet and install?
Tbh this one is better, apart from the odd annoying ad, it gives better results.

Thanks all. Ended up side loading them, and as expected they work fine. Not sure why they are listed as not supported.

One note has never worked with my tablet. I have tested to uninstall and reinstall without success.

I've just tested mine, it works ok, although I don't really use it.

I never had any problems with the microsoft apps on my tab s2. (9.7 LTE) In Germany on the unbranded Version, they`re preinstalled. But you can install them with Galaxy Apps from samsung, and keeping them updated. Google Playstore often beeing strange with it`s "incompatible" message......Often you can download it by changing DPI or faking a Phone , and them run fine as they should. Think, it´s a thing of the account owners settings. If he set the wrong android Version, or else.....maybe at this case, It`s about the license, if Samsung paid for the exclusive License to offer MS Apps over their App Store to the Tab S2, Google isn`t allowed to offer it to this device. But I´m not sure.......

I have 'word' pre-installed on my tab s2, however when I try to type anything the keyboard does not popup so I cannot type anything, but it does when using other MS apps like excel. Does anyone have any idea why this happens in word only? (btw, it has been updated to latest version)

About these microsoft word, excel, and powerpoint apps... i tried them, but do i need to buy them or subscribe for me to edit a document? Because right now it only aĺlows me to read... whenever i try to edit, it states... i need to subscribe, etc...

Hello everyone, so the Oneplus 5 is coming later this month and while we are all excited leaks are out day after day so what are your thought about this device ?
I saw a post this morning saying that it will start in India with a price of 500$ and the 8GB of RAM variant will cost almost 600$ which is a but high considering Oneplus make "Flagships Killers"...what do you think ?

I saw the title my friend it was asking people who's gonna buy one, this thread is a general discussion i mean even after buying the device people can discuss about the phone, their experience with it,the battery life, problems, compare it to previous devices...etc, while your thread wont be as active as before when more people will buy the OP5.

I saw a post showing the OP5 on Oneplus Facebook page it looks really beautiful and very similar to the Iphone 7...I can even say that the back is a copycat

Guys, this is 2017, All the flagship that has come so far are IPxx rated. oneplus till now has given this feature a miss in the flagship killers. Do you think OP5 will be waterproof ?
P.s. My purchase will surely depend on this ..

Yes agree but we can't know...It can be a surprise

OnePlus is just playing pre-launch games with us. They like watching literally the entire market base squirm for the weeks leading up to the launch

Glitches on GPU Turbo ??

anyone got blue glitches on pubg after update firmware with gpu turbo?

I think its a bug from the gpu turbo... Other games are fine such as mobile legends, asphalt 9 etc...

I don't think it's a gpu turbo problem. I was playing just fine before the last update. I reported the issue to them. Maybe you should do the same. Maybe if there are many reports they will do sth to fix the game.

I was playing fine after GPU Turbo update and before PUBG Sanhok update, if I'm not mistaken. I tried some Fortnite clone today and it worked fine too. Seems like the problem is with the PUBG itself. I emailed them my screenshots and they replied with some generic stuff about how they were already doing something about that.
Don't know who is really to blame as teams on both ends are obliged to provide normal performance of their software. Also would be nice to disable that GPU Turbo, without bootloader unlock codes I can't even rollback to previous update.
Damn, I just want to play PUBG.

I have no update notification just yet ?... Really wanna play PUBG so damn much!!

Dunno really. I like the look etc. I expected better battery life but doesnt seem to work for me I would say I'm a heavy user.
My main problems now is having problems with sound and bluetooth sound. My bluetooth sound has all of a sudden become strange if I'm listening to a song in my van or bluetooth speaker the sound skips like as if a CD jumping.
And notifications dont seem to come through properly. Sometimes I get texts but dont know about them as the notification disappears

Man, I have non of these issues you've mentioned. Mine has been flawless. The only weird thing that happens sometimes is somethings reset on their own. Like some apps just disapeare from my home screen/folders for no reason. Some settings clear themselves out without me doing anything. Sometimes, I think Samsung is remotely is messing with my phone.

That's a chipset power management issue. The only fix I've found us turning off wifi or bluetooth for a second and then turn it back on.
The reason its happening is because of the wifi, data, and bluetooth chips being all in one when it comes to power management. Great for form factor, dumb for data/power handling.??
It happens on Oreo as well but pie handles it WAY WAY WORSE.

But seriously K-alz kinda good to have this, I get tired of the high and mighty peeps on XDA jumping on others for crap. We were all new to this once. At&t ota is out, I'm wondering if it will fix the bluetooth issue. Having a hard time pulling away from Oreo. Plus ota just hit for my Note FE, I think S8 ota is coming too plus Javix working on new rom for Note 8 im just trying to keep track of what im flashing where[emoji12]

Yup. That's another thing that is getting old. Giving others crap for asking a simple question. Arguing over dumb stuff. Getting off topic on a thread with something very important, root. Not yet. Been thinking about it though before I go back to Oreo.

Im actually getting ready to let mine take the OTA..good thing is its still on U1 bootloader so we can go back to Oreo.

Sounds like a good idea, but I stupidly vape, so that $20 goes to juice and coils. And dang, those are some nice bikes you got there, bro.

So after taking the OTA on my Note FE to Pie CSC4 I have found that if I use Package disabler you cannot update apps in playstore. So my At&t Note 9 is going through the OTA to CSC1 now. If I am unable to use package disabler on the new Pie this is a deal breaker for me. I was able to use it on CSB3. I will let you guys know how it goes

Video messed up on 178.

Since I installed firmware 178 when I send video to people in WhatsApp it is messed up between normal playing, high speed and then slow when I send to people.
I uninstalled WhatsApp beta in case it was that and went back to standard version but it looks to be phone related and not WhatsApp related.
They are perfect on my phone but everyone I send to is having issues.
The videos were made with the stock camera app on video auto.
Anyone else having issues?

Was 178 an OTA update for you or did you install it manually? I noticed they have just uploaded a roll back so wondering if there is not an issue.

I installed on Funkyhuawei, right now I'm on vacation so can't change anything.

Nothing in the changelog about videos except for videos recorded with the front camera. Weird.
