I've been using my Mi 9 for a month. It's just great, everything work like a charm, smoothly, like butter. But I've been experiencing some battery issues for 2 or 3 days. "Android" and "Android OS" are draining my battery, (approx. 50 percent total) I can feel, my device is heating up. Can you tell me, how can I solve this problem, can you help me please? Thank you so much, really appreciated.
Are you on stock rom? My device was a bit warmer when I was on stockrom at least. Now I'm on Revolution OS (+ I debloated that additionally) and everything seems fine (using it since ~1 month as well). I can't put my finger on that problem but I ran into something similar as well!
I would try debloating your device or switch your rom (Go with xiaomi.eu or Revolution OS). I hope that helped!

Thank you for your answer. BTW, I forgot to mention my software version, MIUI 10.2.3.0. Is there any method to solve this problem, I'm new at Android and flashing ROMs.
I'm thinking of that, maybe, I experienced that problem because of installing an app, or something.

Try holding down the volume up and power buttons at the same time so your phone boots into recovery. I'm pretty sure the stock recovery had a wipe system cache option. If it does wipe the system cache, boot back into the system and see if there is any improvement.
You could also try using the built in cleaner in the security app. Since it's a system app the built in cleaner can clean app cache and various other things that a cleaner downloaded from the Play Store could not without having root access. Just make sure you look at what it's cleaning before you do it or the cleaner might delete something you actually want to keep like media artwork.
You could also download an app like Better Battery Stats from the Play Store. Without root access you will need to follow the instructions showing how to give the app elevated privileges via ADB (they provide step-by-step instructions that should be easy to follow). BBS might be able to show you if a specific app is causing your problem.

Hello! Well, since we don't have Fastboot files, I've scaled back ideas for a ROM, and created this. Please keep in mind, THIS ROM IS FOR SAFESTRAP SAFE MODE ONLY.
You know the drill. If you break your phone, I am sorry, but you can't hold me accountable.
Honestly, it's pretty pathetic as far as custom ROMs go. It's based on the stock Safestrap that Hashcode provided here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1528557
I basically just went to work trying to get rid of as much as possible. I stripped out a bunch of the Motorola apps and Verizon apps, and anything you can easily download from the market. The only significant things I left were Music, MotoPrint, the Blur Gallery (because I wasn't sure the effect that removing this would have on the Camera). I also got rid of Motorola's Car Home and added the stock one. For those of you who don't have official car mounts, you'll find Car Home now listed in the apps. I removed the Blur Home, and dropped in Zeam.

I welcome feedback, ideas, and suggestions. I would love to figure out how to get 1% battery increments, toggles in the dropdown, replace that horrible Blur Gallery, and in general, continue to try to de-blur the thing.
I look forward to hearing from all of you. Good luck, and happy ROMing!

Thanks! Noob question...does this replace the stock ROM or would it be a second OS that I have to choose every time I reboot?

Once you install to the second system, SafeStrap will continue to boot to that system until you switch it back.

Everything worked fine until I installed Clean Master, and I think it deleted something it shouldn't(I suspect that). Now, whenever I return to my homescreen, it takes up to 5 seconds, sometimes more, until I see all the icons. It doesn't matter where I return from, it has a delay. I have a lot of free memory, wiped Cache and Dalvik cache several times, tried 3 different kernels(running Doomlord at the moment, but have tried Trinity and CoCore Z), still same problem.
I have also tried different launchers, without any help.
I am om custom ROM, DstrikerZ1 Kai ROM.
I want to avoid another reinstallation. Thanks

Check your ram consumption..Another issue may be if you have a slow SD Card...Try pulling it off, but probably there is much ram consumption ...
Can you please post a screenshot with your free - used ram? Also try downloading an app that detects which applications are running in the background and try to uninstall them.

Thanks for your replay, but as I mentioned, I have a lot of free memory. Everything works smoothly besides going back to home screen, it takes time to show all icons.
Here is a screenshot of used RAM.

My phone refuses to sleep. I have tried every suggestion to shutdown the systemupdate wakelock, none work. I have tried disable services, the script, and autorun manger. I have even installed some apps that I had on my sgs3 that I could control startup apps. Nothing works. I have seemed to cut the time in half or down to a third, but I am still not deep sleeping and showing awake 100% of the time. Here are the screen shots that show I am not fully deep sleeping.

Have you tried an older or newer version of full gapps?
Its an older version, but all it does is install playstore. I downloaded what "Gapps" I actually use.
I did just read about someone not sleeping with BT on, so I just turned mine off to see if maybe that's the cause. I read it after I posted. :-/

Its just a troubleshooting step.
I dont use many gapps but from experience, I've always found a full gapps package to be best
I use slim full gapps myself.

I am running BetterBatteryStats on Android version 4.4.2. Phone model is InFocus M512
I have been using Better BatteryStats successfully for a long time.
Starting from last update (I think) I get the message "no stats have been collected yet" on the main screen of the app, under Summary. This occurs irrespective of whether I select Boot or Unplugged.
I believe this is due to the new Sensors item. When I select Sensors instead of Summary I get the same message. However if I select any other item in the list, I get valid data.
Additional data: my phone is obviously rooted. BBS is installed as a system app.
I tried to find a way to have BBS ignore the sensors in the settings, but couldn't find a way to do that. I obviously tried to reinstall the app, to no avail.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Beni Falk

I've been having this issue as well.
Pixel 2, Magisk, Snoke Kernel.
Worked for a while and now nothing.
Think it's android 8.1 related?

Just started for me as well. Running OnePlus 5t Oreo Beta 1 with Magisk. Was working without a hitch and suddenly stopped. Tried AppSystemizer on Magisk for BBS, but no luck.

I don't know it's caused by the newest firmware it self or it's because I didn't flash /data ?.
Any ideas about it?

Factory reset might fix it, but most likely a complete reflash, wiping data. This has been reported before on the thread, happens when you try to mix-and-match firmwares.
The following won't be news to people more experienced than I, but I managed at one point to get my phone into what I presume is a bootloop. Waiting for the right moment, and then connecting it in flash mode to the computer allowed me to use Xperia Companion to reinstall the current firmware correctly. I'm glad that Sony provides this functionality in its PC/Mac software. Perhaps in first backing up just what you need through Xperia Companion, then doing a software repair (reset/flash), and then restoring your (minimal) data would do the trick. I know how annoying these little anomalies can be, I had the weird experience of having GBoard reinstall itself on every reboot until I "fixed" the installation as I outlined above. Good luck!

Thanks for reply!
I'll try to do factory reset the phone. But I'm still wondering why this will cause the Settings APP to work like this ?
I had the problem when i first flashed the german 8.49. I had the same weird menus and txt because i had the origianl us oem. i reflashed w/ complete custom de (I don't have tmobile) and everything is back to normal. Also, I got the ota update to the current version. I assumed the problems were because the us oem was outdated, but maybe not.
