DOWNLOAD ROM
DOWNLOAD GAPPS
First time installing crDroid to your Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime (markw), or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (CWM or TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

Bluetooth trusted devices unlock
Hi,
Thanks for your work. Just wanted to know if this rom fixes the well known issue related to ulnocking phone when connected to trusted Bluetooth devices (non Xiaomi).
As many of us know, Xiaomi limits this function to their branded Bluetooth devices only (e.g. MiBands)
I read that flashing a custom ROM can fix this problem and allow users to set every Bluetooth device as a trusted one. Is this the case?
Since it's based on Lineage OS, why not just make un-official Lineage OS instead? Just wondering. Don't be mad please.
Please ignore my ignorance. Sorry.

I just tested this. I could add and connect to another phone (Motorola) via Bluetooth and then add that device to the Smart Lock Trusted Devices list. I don't have any other Bluetooth devices to test with.

I tested Hotspot and had no trouble getting it to work. Did you set the password again ?.
I have a problem with this release not going in to deep sleep for very long whilst the screen is off.
For example I rebooted the phone and then left it off. The Battery Stats app shows Deep sleep 6 minutes, Awake (Screen Off) 53 minutes. Similar ratio for overnight with all apps closed. I have Naptime installed.
I think the previous release spent much more time in deep sleep.
Does anyone have suggestions for this ?

This is the sort of NOT-a-bug (that's even not a bug actually) which is on any custom ROM, and no difference if this Pie, Oreo or Nougat. Your device just can't went into the deep sleep, cuz to make poket mode feature work, light and proximity sensor should be active all the time.

Yes as I found. For the record there are two pocket mode settings in crDroid in -
Security & Location - Smart Lock - On-body Dectection
And
crDroid Settings - Miscellaneous - Pocket Mode.
I had both switched on. They are now off and my phone is sleeping deeply.

Thank you for the info. So it wasn't the same as in Arrow OS from Razziel back then.
Had to disable pocket detection because battery drained close to 20% overnight when I wake up from sleep.

Don't expect much better or worse battery life with custom ROMs ! They are all nearly the same and in range of tolerance.
My ROM aims to get better overall performance without losing significant battery life. For me its working good
About using Mennpiko's UBERTC kernel i cannot not say anything .... didnt try it yet.

Without root this moto x is quiet performant!
So last question : not to hard to root? I prefer askin' because it's a brand new device for me! I'm not use to it yet

you should find all information about rooting your device here at XDA. If you are new to rooting you should take a lot of care ....
The most important part is that you are loosing warranty if you unlock bootloader (which is required for rooting) !
But now please back to topic

Rooting the Moto X is fairly easy. Just ensure you unlock the boot loader before trying to root. You can get an unlock key directly from Motorola on their support site. Battery life is a very subjective thing. Everyone uses their phones in a different manner so I am only going to comment on how battery friendly my phone is with this ROM and Kernel when it is turned on yet not physically being used (as in overnight). In that state my phone is still receiving notifications of email and news from several breaking news apps and my widgets are still updating but the notifications are not triggering an audible alert. I have also manually adjusted the doze mode setting so that it takes longer fir my phone to go into doze mode (I have done this because when at work and my phone is in my pocket not physically being used fir up to a few hours, going into doze has caused my phone to miss text messages until I physically turned on the screen again). If my phone is physically charged to 100% when I set it down to go to bed for the night, it is generally right around 92% or 93% charge in the morning (this is somewhere between 7 and 8 hours). My phone is already about a year and a half old so I am very happy with those numbers. It should be noted that the Resurrection Remix ROM is a very full featured ROM. A bare bones ROM will probably be a better choice if your concern is great battery life and you don't mind not having all of the features that this ROM offers. I personally prefer the good balance of features and battery life that this ROM offers though.

Hi. Is there the bugs from snapchat and periscope and cast with this New versión? Im now at Nx rom base 5.1
Enviado desde mi XT1095 mediante Tapatalk
Hi, thank you for this rom even if I didn't try yet. Just to know Did you have a bug about the notification bar ( header) which is laguy lag after 7 hours to start your phone? A bug about time which is wrong after each boot? Or Bluetooth which didn't see all devices our pairs sometimes? Thank you
Just finished installing 5.6.6 over 5.6.5. I have only been playing with the new version for about 15 minutes or so (doing things like reinstalling Supersu and such) but so far everything looks good. I have yet to run into any issues but obviously have not played with it extensively yet. Just an FYI...the quick setting panel has been changed back to the AOSP single vertical scrolling panel that was used on the CM 12 ROM's. I actually prefer it this way because the horizontal swiping panel was a royal pain to customize. You will need to customize the panel again though. None of the customization's you may have done to quick settings in any of the 5.6.x versions with the horizontal QS panel were retained since the layout is not the same. Redoing your settings only applies to any of the settings for the QS tiles and its panel though. All other customization settings were not changed (assuming you performed a dirty flash upgrade over an older 5.6.x version of this ROM).
---------- Post added at 15:27 ---------- Previous post was at 14:40 ----------
In the new 5.6.6 version of this ROM there is a new settings option in the settings menu titled "Weather". Tapping on it opens a Weather settings area that says that "No weather provider services are installed". There does not appear to be any way to choose or download a weather service provider and several people have left posts on Cyanogenmod's Forum asking how to configure this feature (http://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/123591-weather-provider-service/). So far the folks over at Cyanogenmod have not responded to these posts but if anyone happens to know the how, where, when and why of what this new feature could you please pass that info on?

Ambient display is working fine for me as well. Is it possible that you have a 3rd party app running on your device that might be causing a conflict with it?
I'm guessing that gapps are not baked in? The installation instructions just say "install if required."

GAPP's are not baked in. I use OpenGAPP's and they install and work without any issues with this ROM. Everyone needs to remember that if you are simply performing an upgrade of the ROM (as in from 5.6.5 to 5.6.6) and therefore are not performing a full wipe of system (installing the new version over the old version), you will still need to flash the GAPP's package of your choosing after flashing the newer version of the ROM over the old version.
General rule that everyone should always follow is if you flash a ROM (does not matter if it is a fresh new install or and upgrade) and the ROM does not have GAPP's baked in (almost all ROM's will not have the GAPP's baked in because Google objects to that) then you should always flash a GAPP's package right after flashing the ROM.
@USCanthony
hmmm ... i always do a dirty flash without flashing GApps. Never had some issues doing it this way
But i agree, to be safe you should reflash GApps to avoid unpredictable issues.
I will update the installation instructions ....

Thank you both for responding, I've only seen one or two with gapps baked in over the years(none so far for this device) but I wanted to make sure rather than experimenting. I've also soft bricked a LOT of phones while "playing" around and flashing anything I find lol.

Unfortunately, that's something in AOSCP. According to the devs at AOSCP, Google intended to be like this. However this might get fixed in a newer build.
I just wanna know what will be the update schedule if u continue supporting rom. like weeky or as when needed? Also will u be trying to fix the device specific bugs or will it be based on the rcstar's builds?
Thanks for a new rom for our z2.:good:

Yes, I have that issue too. I'm not sure why that's like that but it might get fixed in a later build. (I've also noticed while in landscape mode, the home button area becomes normal.)

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9 (pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

To install this you have to install TWRP using by QFIL utility, follow this instruction: https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/twrp-lenovo-p8-tb-8703f-tb-8703x-t3689442/post76277192
Special TWRP build
To install and boot any custom roms and to boot it after installing mods that change boot partitition like Magisk please use this TWRP:
2018-08-25
Fixed long time to wakeup screen in TWRP
Added NTFS filesystem for sdcards

gdrive: twrp-tb8703-3.2.1-bootsign.img
This TWRP build has special function Sign boot which you have to click after install new version of ROM or mod like Magisk. It will append stock boot signature to your boot partition. This allows to boot with locked bootloader.
TWRP with Boot Sign function screenshots:
Fortunately you dont need to unlock bootloader, because not every Lenovo tab can be unlocked. Custom kernel and ROM can be runned by appending boot.sig signature extracted from stock rom to boot.img like
Code:
cat boot.img boot.sig > boot-signed.img
It still cant be loaded by fastboot, but you always can flash it from TWRP. You can get boot.sig in my repo https://github.com/HighwayStar/android_device_lenovo_TB8703/blob/cm-14.1/twrp/recovery/root/boot.sig

Restart to recovery/bootloader don't work. The tablet restarts to OS in both cases. (dev menu -> advanced restart)
I'll post more bugs as I'll find them.
Upgraded from 15 to 16. Working without problems so far. Thanks!
It doesn't connect to hidden SSID wifi network. when adding a network there's an option to specify that the SSID is hidden or not..
Rotate lock screen isn't present in Settings but it appears in Search.
Ethernet connection doesn't work.
Quick update:
2018-04-21
Fixed reboot to recovery and bootloader from reboot menu
Fixed long time to wake up screen
Fixed Deep sleep
Thank you. The 15.1 built was amazing already.
Do we have to flash new gaaps when upgrading?
I have upgraded from latest 15.1. Some observations:
Vibration does not work for me in the initial 16.0 release.
Longer wake up time (i see it's fixed in new built).
I also didn't realize 15.1 gapps are not compatible with 16.0 so after upgrading just the LOS I experienced gapps crash fest. It's better after installing MindTheGaps9 but now launches and crashes some silly Pixel Phone wizard app on almost every transition to home screen, preventing opening home screen. There is a workaround getting to home screen by using history button and clicking on background. Some apps failed to start, like Youtube but reinstallation healed the issue.
System seems to be nice, smooth and responsive. Very nice upgrade.

Of course.
Upgrade process should look like this:
- create a backup!!!
- wipe system, cache, dalvik
- flash los 16
- flash open gapps for pie (i use Pico)
- optional: flash your root solution (I use magisk)
- sign boot
- reboot
How can I have expanded notifications guys? Is the option removed?
Hey dude, thanks for your great work, everything's working fine, but I have a problem when try to screen mirroring to my tv because every time I do the tablet crash and restart... Can you fix it please? In lineage 15 doesn't have that problem. Thanks in advance.
Man, you are a legend!! Working great!! Thankyou sooooo much!
In regards to vibration not working... Mine is working but it is very light when say pressing home button. Working but much lighter vibration than before.
I use Gboard so I can just increase that vibration fine.
Thanks again!!
Thanks for the update, works very well for me

Well, I just want to have the display turned on when a notification arrives.
LiveDisplay is Day/Night color tweak etc... Ambient Display is that option to have the display turned on when notifications arrive/ when you pick up the tablet etc.
The weird thing is that if you use search in settings, you can see that the option is there somewhere. But when you tap it you go nowhere

Ah sorry. I've never used Ambiend display before and I tought that they might be the same thing.
Same bug with Rotate lockscreen.
If anyone find a Google Camera app that works, please post it in the topic. Thanks
Thanks for bringing Pie to the Tab 3 8 Plus
I noticed that not all notifications from twitter appear with this ROM comparing with 15.1... So I thought I could return to 15.1 by wiping Cache/ Dalvik/ System and flashing the Oreo ROM + Gapps. Unfortunately Android started booting but ended up in TWRP. Most probably full wipe is needed.
So I decided to flash Pie again! I wiped cache/ dalvik/ system, flashed LOS 16 + Gapps, rebooted.. this time it booted to Android normally, but now I have no notifications from any app at all! Yikes! Any clues guys?
Good morning.
Thanks for all.
I have a problem. I installed the new LineageOS 16.0 but the wifi does not activate. When active it is deactivated by itself. Thanks for your help.

Yes, that's why it says "Firmware required: ALBUS_PPS29.133-30 " AKA stock pie
I'm testing the rom and I'm finding it incredible. The only problem I found is that the fingerprint sensor gestures are not working
JBL Mod doesn't work, unfortunately...
Despite of that - rom is great, customization level incredible. Battery consumption low, SE Linux restrictive, security update 01.2021. Nicely done!
This looks really promising, I'll probably try it out. But I have a few questions:
1) Does encryption work?
2) As @gatsu777 mentioned, is it possible to use one-button navigation? I mean, does it come with Moto Actions at all? I know Android 10 has gesture navigation, but I'm really used to one-button nav. Also the lack of Fast torch and Quick capture would be kinda bummer.
3) Does the Always on Display (Peek display) work?
4) Do battery mods work? Can I configure it to use the efficiency mode?
5) Not a deal-breaker, but what about FM radio?
I assume basic features like bluetooth, dual SIM, USB connection, Turbo power etc. work just fine.
Thanks.
@Razemix :
1) the option is present (Security options -> Use encryption), but I didn't use it. The system is decrypted after first boot - you will have to try it on your own;
2) yes (in Moto Actions), but it needs some additional configuration - for example when I set "swipe right" -> "last app" after swiping I got all last apps On the other hand "single tap" -> "screen on/off" works just fine. Fast torch and Quick capture are present and working - if you mean those two standard Moto Actions;
3) AoD works - after moving the phone or waving a hand over it;
4) haven't tried. JBL Snap unfortunately doesn't work, even tried two different players - the issue is somewhere in the system itself;
5) FM radio works- after plugging some cable headphones of course;
6) bluetooth OK, USB connection OK (setting default connection also), dual SIM haven't check - don't have second sim card.
It looks very, very good - for me only this JBL issue needs some correction.
Congratulations, @HeltonMax !
@kontemp, how did you get the gestures on the impression sensor? I called and configured the actions there in moto actions, basically: start, back and recent, but the sensor does not respond, I even disabled the fingerprint unlocking and even then it was not.
Well, hard to say exactly how...
First of all I've used installer-pie.zip from second post above (option: "2-Installer-Complete.bat"), then formatted twice in twrp to remove encryption, then deleted everything in twrp (@marcost22, thanks for the advice!). This way I've achieved total whipe-out of old data and installed fresh stock Pie.
Second: during first startup I've disabled fingerprint at the very beginning (it can be done by choosing fingerprint+pin, then in second step choosing skip - and this way the procedure of setting fingerprint can be skipped without setting any initial data).
That's it... But this functionality acts a bit weird - like I wrote above not every "move" on fingeprint sensor is recognized correctly. Let's hope @HeltonMax will release another version with some corrections
Last thing - I use version XT1710-09, if it matters for the sake of firmware used in this rom...
Good luck!
@kontemp your explanation was very clear, friend! As you said it is not working perfectly, I will be satisfied with the gestures on the screen and use the unlock by fingerprint + pin. This rom is so perfect that I will really continue with it. Lots of configuration options, long battery life, and being able to them all with a black theme due to Android 10 is really cool. Thank you for your explanation and congratulations to @HeltonMax for the excellent work!
Hello guys, I just saw that the post is very busy lol thanks for reporting these problems and if you can send me logs (adb logcat -b all> logcat.txt) it helps me a lot it can be right here in the post or if you prefer you can me mark in the global group @ z2play or @ Z2PlayGSI that I will try to correct these problems
System encryption doesn't work. Phone reboots and then gets stuck forever on "Encrypting" screen with "time remained 00:00". After forced restart system is unaccessible.
As for fingerprint gestures in order to set actions Back, Recent Apps and Home one need first disable Navigation bar in: Resurrection tools --> System --> Buttons. Otherwise these actions are not recognizable.

I've gotten my banking apps (as well as contactless payments) to work by using kdrag0n's Universal SafetyNet Fix Magisk module (which of course requires you to root your phone). It is sufficient to install Magisk, enable Zygisk, and install the module. You may also have to enable DenyList and add your banking apps to it so that they don't see you have Magisk installed.
Good afternoon
Thank you for the work done by the development of the firmware!
There is a question. The camera does not work natively in my applications. Those. in telegram or in others, when the camera is running inside the application, only a black background is shown and there is no data from the camera.
What could be causing the error? There is no such error in LineageOS 20, but it is in this one.
