with camera you can only make GIFs with burstshot feature (longpressing shutter). will be deeply integrated also in gallery and video player with full UX 6.0 once released.

There is option called "add sign" (or something like that, I use Polish language) but this option isn't working for me. I can enable this option but this is all.

Very nice job! Everything looks very good. Apart from the already mentioned observations I also noticed a couple (to be taken as helpful bugreports, not criticism ):
1. Can the camera use both microphones to record stereo audio, or is the hardware not capable ? In Manual Video mode it seems that only the bottom mic is recording on both channels.
2. In Manual Video mode it seems the OIS isn't working at all.

I've noticed an error with Threema and Outlook. If I want to attach a Pic directly from the Cam the Cam App has a FC.
The Cam App take the pic, put it in the gallery but it's not possible to send it directly.
If you have time, can you take a look at this?

adb logcat from pc, or use a logcat app from play store.

- This is camera of One Plus 3 stock oxygen OS rom.
- Main motive to port this app is to improve video recording quality in custom roms. As well as rear cam auto focus is drastically improved.

please dont complain about front camera not being able to click pics its a known bug,
use different app for front camera.
Please note the main reason for this port is to get video recording and playback quality to be improved.
Rear camera's auto focus and video recording is drastically improved here.
I dont click many pics but if you have clicked feel free to share here i will add those.

I'm at the latest version GCam5.1.018-Arnova8G2-V1.3.apk and portrait mode works fine but if i go into Slowmotion camera (used to work in previous version) camera crashes.

make sure you install the patch in magisk for slomo + camera api
settings i used in camera is
Config camera HDR+ = Pixel 2017 Zsl HDR+
Model = Nexus 6p
HDR+ parameters = High
get the apk from here

Thank you for the extremely helpful response. I have tried your settings on Arnova's 5.1.018_v1.2: GCam5.1.018-Arnova8G2-V1.2, everything seems to work fine. But when trying the GCam5.1.018-Arnova8G2-V1.3 with your settings, the app crashes after you look back at the photos you've taken. I suspect its something to do with the Config camera HDR+ set to Pixel 2017 Zsl HDR+. Seems like it does not crash when set to Nexus 6 Auto.
On the latest version, the slow motion crashes on me as well, also can't seem to capture video. Portrait mode works! I don't suppose you've got motion photos working? Thank you.

yep 1.3 is buggy for me too. slomo won't work on 1.3 but works on 1.2 tho
did you install that magisk module and reboot?

Yes I have tried that, thank you. It seems version 1.4 beta is out, you could give it a try to see if slow mo is working or not.

ive tried 1.4 beta2, video is still a nogo, just black screen and FC. so its back to 1.2 for me

No, you can have the both. I have Arnova8G2 and B-S-G Google Camera mods, as well as MIUI Camera and Snap Camera ones. Well, that's not all, quite few other camera apps too.
I suggest you try this one: GCam5.1.018-Arnova8G2-V1.5Beta.apk (it is working very well with my Mi Max 2)

oh, 1.5 beta already out, nice lets check and see if it finally works properly with video record and portrait mode...
edit: well well! looks like GCam finally works in video recording mode with a version newer than 1.2 plus, portrait mode is finally here and it works!
however, there are two things to consider:
1) only two phone models work when selecting the HDR+ mode - either "Nexus 6 Auto" or "Pixel 2017 ZSL HDR no PD" (I chose the latter), all other phone models dont work (black screen in camera mode)
2) Due to the restriction to the two phone models, you can only activate regular HDR+, whereas HDR+ Enhanced is not available anymore
So basically, you can choose between
v1.2 for HDR+ Enhanced, but without Portrait Mode
or
v1.5 beta for regular HDR+, but with Portrait Mode included

This issue came around with the pie update for razer phone 2 so I managed to fix the viewfinder issue by using the razer libs from android OREO.
This is for every app, not just gcam.
The EIS fix allows for video stabilization at 1080p 60fps.

I have made a couple comparison videos and here they are: (read the description of each as it describes what to look for if it is not immediately visible)
1. Stock Camera Libs through the gcam viewfinder
2. My module through the gcam viewfinder
3. Stock Camera libs recording a video of snapchat (it just records the viewfinder)
4. My module recording the same video in snapchat
Even with the low youtube quality as of now (still processing probably) the changes are noticeable

Using both of these and my gcam is much better. Viewfinder no longer has a ghosting effect, colors are better, and stabilization works.

Which camera version are you using? The 7.4 version doesnt with when i want to use video and the 7.3 versions all crash instantly on startup same as 7.2.

Impossible, are you using BSGs cameras? also disable the EIS fix to check if it is that one.
Is it the EIS FIX of VF FIX doing it? and which gcams did you try (by which modder)

1.) Camera works on stock camera app, instagram, facebook, gcam 6.1.

it seems more of like an issue with your phone or something as I've not heard of anybody having problems with the viewfinder fix.
about the 7.4 gcam, try BSGs latest version from celsoazevado, it should be labelled test
also you said the camera works in social medias, is that with or without the viewfinder fix

Link not working
I deleted link because a few updates been issued after that version. And you can access them through an app called MIUI DOWNLOADER, as direct links updated all the time.
And yes, they all work perfect!!!
