Hi there.....I was transferring data from my mobile to my friend's pc. While ejecting usb from phone. I touched it accedently and felt shock. Can this type of static current damage my phone?
It sure can
Even if it has been damaged you can replace it so easily:

Hello,
Unfortunate I have a issue with my Nexus. My USB port is damaged, I'm able to charge the phone via USB but I'm not able to transfer data through USB (some element on motherboard is damaged) Due to a problem during installation of new custom rom I'm ended with empty internal storage and deleted system. I still have access to TWRP but without a working usb I'm not able to upload any files to the phone.
Do you know if there is a some way to upload file to phone? for example connect directly to motherboard?
You probably could jury rig a data connection directly to the traces leading from the MicroUSB port, assuming you have the tools, the skill, and a magnifier to see the traces. But if you have to open the device to do that, you might as well look into repairing or replacing the existing port. Once you get the port fixed, then you should be able to successfully flash a system image to the device. Otherwise, there's nothing you can do that I know of.
The port itself is ok, some electronic component on PCB is damaged, probably some resistor but I'm not able to locate it.
USB was damaged when I have connected my phone to the computer front panel USB. Front panel was connected to wrong socket in the motherboard ( front panel was connected to the IEEE-1394 header instead to usb header).
Nexus 6 Achilles heel is the USB/Data port. I've had 2 go bad but there is hope, check eBay for a $25 repair service

If only "that" cable doesn't work with your note 8, then use another cable. Not really a big issue. Either the cable is somehow damage or it is somehow not compatible with your phone ,which shouldn't happen often.
If none of the cables work with your phone work assuming there is no associated software bug in your phone, then the charging port is damaged. It can be easily fixed luckily.
So I got my Rog 3 China edition, but the usb cable it came with is a type c to type c. My laptop doesn't have the socket for type c, Al how do I connect my Rog 3 to my laptop? I was able to use my Huawei cable for data transfer , however, for fastboot mode the Huawei cable wouldn't work, so what usb cable so I need or is there any way I can connect the type c to type c cable that originally came with the phone to my laptop?
Good mate, any cable pulls you, the only thing that for the computer to recognize your mobile through ADB you have to do it through the side charging port, not the one below.

Hi, basically the laptop recognised the huawei USB cable I used for the rog 3 when I used the bottom port and media transfer mode was activated
However, the huawei USB cable didn't work on the side port when I tried to do fastboot,
So the question is, what alternative cable can I use as my laptop does not have a type c slot/output.. And the USB which came with the rog 3 has type c on one end and type c on the other end? I've ordered a type c to type A female cable, I've attached a photo of it, do you think that'll work if I plug the ROG 3 type c cable on it and insert that into the laptop?
I have 11T PRO for about 6 months and today I realised that usb cable only working for charging now. Phone is not being detected in Windows at all. Neither when i enter fastboot. I was playing with DSU yesterday and tried to run factory GSI. Bootloader was locked. It was entering fastboot instead going into GSI. I have no idea what could happen.... Any clues?? Factory reset did not help. I am unable to flash firmware or copy any files from the phone by cable.
Maybe give this a shot? I've used to use it when my pc does not recognized my phone in fastboot.
Gave the phone to my mom, she does not have internet or PC. Back to Samsung.
Pichulec, thanks to you I discovered that it is the cable that does not connect my Xiaomi 11T to the computer. I replaced the cable with another one and immediately the smartphone was recognized
Like you, I am also disappointed with Xiaomi because you don't equip an expensive phone with a stupid cable that is only good for charging

No problem with the original cable, do not generalize.
