I am still using oreo because pie had loads of bugs.
So, I want to know whether July's Security Patch is stable enough to replace Oreo?
Will I be able to rollback to Oreo after the update?
Is there any patch for fingerprint bug on oreo cuz rest is working just fine.
Or should I go for Miui?

i was browsing through XDA and discovered we got Pie Builds!! after looking into the threads for the 3 roms as of 10/2/18, i read about a lot of people having a multitude of problems with them, from them not booting to fingerprint and encryption problems.
so, are these builds really buggy? should i stick with my oreo rom? whats up with these pie roms?
--edit--
also, for liquidremix, would i install the oreo or the nougat FW base?? whats the difference and does it really matter which version i do?
you just wait until all the bugs are fixed. or you can install it and support the developer by reporting the bugs you face.
everything works fine here, you have to see the version of your bootloader version c2.12 works everything standard, otherwise upgrade your stock rom to the latest oreo to update your bootloader or you can only install rom based on nougat
I'm not on a stock rom, I actually use havocOS I haven't used stock for a while now.. but when it was stock it was 7.1 nougat not Oreo, did Sanders xt1806 finally get the Oreo update?
Treble user will get Android Q test ?
I don't understand your English.
The Pie update may or may not bring Treble support. It's unlikely because the X4 launched w/ Nougat and will have gone through 2 major updates (Oreo and pie). I doubt it will get Q.

Stay with oreo
System updates bring a newer look to your phone, fixes bugs, solves most heating problems (which mostly depends upon your phone's processor) and gives you a faster and improved performance and they are often necessary for device security or efficiency. And be sure to install (and use) Secure Update Scanner so you don't fall victim to the pileup flaw.
Hello,
Can i update directly from Oreo ARL3 to Pie CSDL over ODIN? The Pie releases are more stable and battery friendly?
Thanks
If you know how to use Odin it shouldn't be a problem updating from oreo to pie
Hi
I finally found someone who has an unlocked p20 pro and is willing to sell it to me (clt29).
But it's running stock 9.0. but I want to use Xposed very badly, that's why I chose this phone. Because it's the last flagship with an 8.x rom that has all the features i need.
But I read somewhere that once it's updated up l to 9.0 You can't roll it back to 8.0 because the security level or something stays on 9.0 or so and that messes with the rom so you can't root it anymore and can't use xposed. Is that true or can I safely buy this device and install an 8.0 rom and root it and use xposed?
Thanks for the help! Very much appreciated!

No you need to be on a matching base.
Oreo - Oreo pie - pie.
You can try but it'll most likely fail or cause some horrible anomalies you just don't want.

You're on Oreo asking if you can install a pie ROM!!
Answer is no.
If you're on Oreo then stick with Oreo
If you're on pie then stick with pie.
The base is the version you're on, stick to the base youre on rather than trying to mix it up.
