Is there a known fix or workaround for the Nokia 7+ rebooting whilst fast charging? Mine started doing it last night. I've cleared the cache of a most my apps, but other than that i'm unsure what else could work.
I've used different cables but the same charger, and i've been using this charger (and both cables) regularly since getting this phone.
It has rebooted about 4 times just whilst writing this post!
I faced this issue when I connected my Mac's USB-C type charger to my phone. I thought that N7+ wasn't able to handle it and stopped using it.

Did that work?
I've left mine charging whilst powered off at work and since getting to approximately 90% it's no longer in a reboot cycle.

Hello,
I seem to have lost the ability to turbo charge on my N6. When I use the turbo charger, the phone charges normally, but does not "turbo" charge. I've also lost the ability to connect to a PC. No machine will recognize my device, so I'm also wondering how to update to 5.1 once released without a PC.
Not sure if these issues are related. Maybe a hardware issue? I'm on a stock, rooted device (with forced encryption off) with TWRP recovery. The problems seem to have started after I manually updated to 5.0.1 using this method:

Please let me know if anyone can help.
Thanks
there's no real "turbo" mode in the n6, if its charging normally, then its right. how long would you say it takes the device to charge? and about connecting to the pc, is your nexus driver installed? sounds like it had an error somewhere. try installing it again, or manually. if the n6 driver isnt installed, your pc will never see the n6.
I noticed, I used a longer cord plugged into the Turbo charger, it would take about 5-6 hours to charge (I forget the %). Then I switched the cord back to the one that came with it, and the time was cut in half, 2-3 hours. Make sure you are using the correct cord.

It takes about 5-6 hours to charge from 0%. And yes, I have tried deleting the drivers and reinstalling them automatically and manually. It's not a driver problem as I've tried multiple computers (both PC and MAC). I've used multiple USB ports and cables. I've tried literally everything.

Thanks. I'm using the correct charger and cable. In fact, I thought I had a defective charger so I had Motorola send me a brand new one. Still not working correctly. In fact, when I enable USB debugging and MTP connection, it won't charge at all using the turbo charger. I have to disable USB debugging and MTP to get it to work. Very strange. That's why I think something went wrong with my installation of 5.0.1 or one of my modifications (enabling landscape mode on home screen, enabling screen mirroring, enabling tethering, franco kernel, root, decryption, etc.). I'm really hoping it's not hardware.
If it takes that long to charge on a wallplug you're hardware is probably defective. It generally takes me 3 hours to charge from 0 to 100 with a 5v 1amp wall charger. A little less with a 5v 2amp port. About 2 hours in fact.
5 to 6 hour charge rates only make sense if you're charging off the a powered USB port from a computer.

Either it's charger's issue or it's charging IC's issue. If you can find another turbo charger, try charging with that. If the same issue repeat, then ask for a replacement

Good luck getting a replacement charger. I have been trying to get a replacement charger for two weeks. Moto customer service is terrible.

Hey all, I find my nexus with the turbo charger goes from empty to full in about an hour and ten maybe twenty. Today I plugged it in at 13% at noon and by one it was at 94% so some of the charge times I'm seeing here seem way long compared to what I've been getting on my device. Is there different turbo charge blocks out there!?

Must be my Canadian electricity.
If by any chance you have access to the Note 4's charging block, try that one. It works extremely well with every turbo charge device I've used.
I updated my phone through OTA, but once i rebooted it aftet installing update, my USB port started to act strange. The phone takes 6 hours to fully charged ( with the same original power brick and cable) and also the cannot be recognized by any computer. OTG flash drives don't work anymore too.
Anyone else experienced these symptoms?

Bad wire...
You've lost a couple of pins... So you're not getting the turbo charger handshake... Further confirmed by loss of data to your PC...
Get a new wire... Make sure it specifies DATA/SYNC...
Unless you've burned up your turbo charger... Which I have heard of yet... Though I've broken the board in a couple of QC 2.0 compatible wall warts... But they just stop charging all together

Hey, I have the same problem but I bought and changed the cable USB so I solved the "problem".
This is weird but seriously I noticed this problem, Really I don't know.
Nexus 6 USB/charging port are this phones Achilles heel
I have recently resurrected my nexus 6 and found that it no longer gives me the turbo charger notification.

Fast charging notifications are ROM dependant. AFAIK, still not part of the stock ROM.
A way to tell what's happening is to use Ampere and look for ~ 1900 - 2200mA of current on the quick charger. ~ 500mA on a regular wall charger and <200mA on usb (computer) port.
The phone will only fast charge below a preset level. Somewhere around 80% the fast charge starts to slow down and that is reflected in the current measurement. By 85%, my N6 drops to ~1600mA.
If you go to settings -> battery while plugged into a wall (AC) charger and it shows usb charging, then check the cable and charger. Try different ones. If still it shows usb charging, then your phone charging port is messed up. I'd first try cleaning it.
If you can't remember the last time you cleared the caches (clean flashed) a factory reset might get things cleaned up as well.
If you're still using the original battery at this point in time, slow charging might just be a result of an old, expended battery.
I've had my RP2 since July 2019 and it has been phenomenal. However, just within the last 2 weeks I ran into an issue with charging. Normally I charge using wireless charging and I started experiencing an issue where the phone constantly cycles through acknowledging wireless charge to not wireless charging. If I allow it to go through this cycle a couple times when I pull the phone off the dock it shows the battery icon as if it is still charging. When I first recognized this issue was occurring I tried plugging it in via wired(USB-C) and charging. The phone acted like it was charging but when I came back a few hours later I believe it had only increased maybe 1-2%.
Since the issue occurred I have tried powering off my phone and trying the wireless charge function with the phone powered off. I get a similar experience where it seems like the phone acknowledges wireless charging is trying to be done but it cycles between the battery charging icon and then blank screen, short buzz, and then the initial Powered by Android screen and then back to battery meter.
The only way I have found to successfully charge the phone at this point is to power off the phone, plug in wired charging(via USB-C). The phone will charge fine powered off or if I power the phone back on as long as i leave the charging cable plugged in when i power it on, it will continue to charge until i remove the cable. Once I try to plug the charging cable back in after the phone is powered on and booted it will no longer charge.
I've submitted a case to Razer Support but I'm almost 2 weeks in and have yet to hear any response back yet except, "Have you fixed your problem yet? If so let us know we'll close out your ticket" Obviously not very helpful.
Considering the wired charging behavior when the phone is up and running, it leads me to believe that this might be a software issue and not a hardware issue. However, since I have powered off my phone and attempted to wireless charge that way too and it still does not work makes me think it could possibly be a hardware issue?
Two other things to note:
1. I have seen a notification pop up that says something to the affect of "USB Controlled by Connected Device" even when nothing is connected to the phone.
2. Since the issue has arose I tried utilizing my USB-C dongle to 3.5mm headphone jack and it appears my phone no longer acknowledges when it is plugged in. Previously it worked like a charm and I could play music without issue. Now the music just plays out of the phone speakers like no dongle is connected.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Update: They did RMA my phone. I sent it in on a two day FedEx prepaid shipping. They received it 6/26 and by 6/30 were shipping it back to me. Arrived on my doorstep on 7/3 and it appears to be working now. I didnt receive any details on what they fixed but wireless charging and wired charging are back in good standing. They did return it with Android 8.1.0 so I had to do some updating from there.
It took a little to get everything completed(over a month from start of tech support case to finish of repaired Razer 2) but in all the experience was good with their support.

I only got my phone last week but I'm already seeing an issue where it will stop wireless charging. If I'm just using it for a while and then go to put it on the charger and it will not charge or indicate that it's charging. I have been keeping a simple Spigen case on it but that doesn't seem to matter - did the same thing case or no case. I also tried multiple wireless chargers - same on all of them. It's definitely aligned properly too.
I do have Battery Care turned on (custom, after 10pm) - but even when that is active it still shows that it's charging and everything functions as expected. And this has happened outside of those specified BC hours.
A restart seems to bring it back - but something is up given that it's happened a couple times already in less than a week. Anyone else seeing this?
I'm just waiting for it to happen again before reaching out to Support.
Follow up: it just did it again this evening.
I wanted to avoid restarting the phone just to see if I could get it working again. I tried a couple chargers again, no sign of charging at all. I went into Battery Care and turned it off - still no charging. I plugged a cable in to charge and it worked normally. I waited a couple minutes, removed the cable again and then tried a wireless charger again and it worked this time!
I'm leaving Battery Care off and have now restarted my phone again. Will see how it goes for the next couple days.
I also found this thread on Sony's forums: https://community.sony.ee/t5/xperia-1/xperia-1-ii-wireless-charging-stopped-working/td-p/3686459
I'm not sure he was having the same issue though, as it appeared his wireless chargers at least detected the device and tried to charge - they just couldn't establish the connection to do it. Though his solution did sound like it was the "custom" option in Battery Care that may be the culprit.
It did it again this morning. Plugging a wired charger got it to work again but I've emailed Support now. This is dumb. Will update with any additional troubleshooting or possible solution.

Multiple chargers. A 15W Anker charger, a 3 coil Ikea charger, a generic 10W charger at work, and a Pixel Stand. As it's happened I usually have multiple chargers around to test, so I've tried any of them available. Temperature hasn't appeared to matter. I definitely have not had the phone "hot" when trying it but I have also waited like a half hour or so to try it again thinking about potential temperature issues.
I also posted it to Reddit this morning on /r/sonyxperia and someone responded saying that there's a new update from Docomo that appears to call out a fix for wireless charging occasionally not working. So I'm hopeful that might be what I'm experiencing. Still waiting to hear something back from Support.

I use one from Belkin. https://www.belkin.com/us/p/P-F7U083/
When I use the phone heavily and it's sort of hot it doesn't charge for a while. Once it's cold it works flawlessly. I have the US version, latest firmware. And an addition to that is my Spigen case.
only thing I noticed is that it is very picky about positioning, as it is a long phone it easy easy to miss place
I've got issue with an ikea wireless charger plugged to a Sony clock.
Issue fixed with an other cable from the clock to the charger.
Use quality cable like the stock Sony one.

I encountered the same issue today, "it says wireless chargering cannot start".Any one find out what is the problem?!
Help...
Purchased on release day directly from Sony Store online.
No issues with wireless charging until a few days ago.
Will first initially register as charging, but after 5 seconds, will stop and pop up window will indicate that wireless charging cannot start.
This issue is with several wireless chargers.
No issue with direct charging.
Tried BatteryCare function off/on, but no change.
Any assistance in helping resolve this will be greatly appreciated.

The issue has disappeared and functioning as designed.

Hey Friends,
I have noticed this on my pixel 5 , it will make random charging sound when already plugged in to charger. I hear this charging sound randomly at no specific time interval. Tried to toggle the connector ends , still the same. Just wondering if i'm alone here ?
Thanks
I haven't noticed this (had the phone a little over a week) but I'll keep an ear out for it!
I have this almost every second on my 5 port Aukey charger (does not support PD).
Saw some comments on Reddit with similar issue (also on multiport charger).
On official charger it practically does not occur for me (had it once or twice when using the phone while charging, but it could be also from cable getting loose while moving).
There some posts on official Pixel support forums about similar issues too, though people rarely mentioned what charger they used.
Hi,
I observe this too sometimes. Happened to me twice with the provided charger from the box - it feels like it's more probable to happen if I have the phone already connected to the cable when the charger is plugged in. Also have observed this when charging from my PC under certain conditions (i.e. PC off, mobile plugged in to charge, then turning on PC, mobile goes crazy). Appears to me that the USB "connection" is reset every second but haven't investigated further.
I just bought new USB-C cable that was marked as USB Power Delivery compatible and so far the problem is gone even on the 5 port charger.
Seems like they removed code responsible for handling such edge cases.

Good to hear that , I haven't got the fix yet , I still hear random charging sound twice or thrice during every charge, hopefully it's a software fix.
