Well that's a big problem. It happened to me before. Did hard reset without removing the gmail account. After boot it asked for the same email. Now the" funny " part is that every time you put incorrect gmail your phone will be locked out for 72hours. No Google nor Samsung can reset it. You have to log in to that gmail you had reset the password. Unfortunately that is the only way. Or there's a paid service removing this "lockdown". Basically it's the same as iCloud on iPhone.

What's this payment tool?

Depends on your location. Try Sammobile's website, they have "in-house" unlockers so you should be sorted.

Hopefully this will help. But there's a mention about certain version it works. If the phone is on older ROM should be ok.

Yea tried that it says you have to remove it from privecy. Here it says all data will be wiped from phone! Tried that..... Now my phone is in boot loop!

[Q] Device protection question.

If I flash a factory image on my Nexus 6, will the device ask me for my google account, or does that only occur with a factory reset.
If you wipe the data then yes. I assumed since it's gonna be a whole ddffrent OS. Then yed

Click the top link in my signature for info. Especially if you are thinking of re-locking the bootloader.
You should remove your Google account and any security pin/password/pattern lock before hand. Then do a factory reset from settings before you begin. Safety first.

Giffgaff said they'd need the device protection taken off
"Don't forget to remove your PIN or lock code, and any other kind of protection so the phone fixers can turn on your phone and confirm the issue."
However it can be turned on and the PIN encryption is gone, I just don't know whether they will need my google account to get further into the phone seeing as it's a factory image flash. I can't lock the bootloader because i can't see anything on the screen and I cannot force it off without it auto rebooting.

If the screen isnt working, they can see the issue long before getting to boot up. To turn off device protection, you must remove the google account before a factory reset. You obviously cant do this without seeing what you're doing. And you wouldnt want them to have access to your google account. All you can do is flash factory and send it as is. Device protection isnt going to prevent them fixing a broken display issue.

Just remember, you have to wait 72 hours before performing a factory reset after changing your password.

Yes. Two things to do, when sending the device for repair the display.
If possible flash a factory image.

By flashing the factory image, in its entirety, all of your account information would need to be entered before you could use the device again anyway. After the repair process, when the device is powered on, they would only see the start up screen, as if it were a new device.

True.
OP wanted to avoid access to his device by others. In general it is good practice to change password from time to time.
It is a point of view. Do not rely only on the security of a system.

I agree. That's why in my first response, I said that very thing. However with a broken screen, he could not do this from his device. So it was recommend that he do it via the web. But with the new features of security, you must wait 72 hours after changing your password before factory resetting. I think it's a time issue and the OP wants to get their phone off to be repaired.

FRP remove fail

Hi! My sister recently did a factory reset to her phone, but now it is asking for the Google account. She doesn't remember it. I tried to bypass the FRP lock with the Talkback method but it doesn't work. The phone has the latest Android updates installed so I guess they have patched that bypass thing. My bootloader is locked. Um, I have tried to downgrade the Android, also I have extracted the update.app files and tried to flash them via fastboot but it says "command not allowed". Anyone with an idea? ? Thanks!

Question Cant add more accounts to this SIM Card

Hello
So, i wanted to unlock my phone's bootloader so that i can use pixel experience (i hate MIUI, atleast MIUI13) and i created an account with my phone number and added account under Mi Unlock Status, but then for some reason i deleted that account. Then i created another account with the same number and when i go to add it under Mi Unlock Status, it says "Cant add more accounts to this SIM Card. Try another" idk what that "another" thing is to try. How can i fix this problem? Can waiting for 7 days or even 30 days fix this problem? I have seen some people say they changed SIMs, but i cant do so. Also there are not many threads on this topic which would help me. I dont mind on waiting (better late than never). Please help me fix this.
Thanks )

If the phone is not linked to a Xiaomi account this request will never arrive.
This case is frequent with a second-hand phone where the former owner forgot to delete it from his account.
This is one of the security in case of loss or theft of the device.

If you never set a security lock, like pin, gesture or fingerprint, there is a small chance to startup again.
Otherwise you can't startup without Mi Service.
If you wiped your data, everything is gone, but not the encryption, so Miui can't acces the data partition. You need to format the data partition for removing that encryption too.

thx for the reply any idea or tutorial to proceed ?
It's the security on the lock screen that encrypts the data.
By formatting the data you delete your data and the encryption but you will still have the unlock request at startup since the phone is linked to a Xiaomi account.
I think you are right. Even without some security lockoptions, you must pass always the lockscreen.
But I was under the assumption that you didn't need a Mi account for that.

Mi account sign up process always asks at least one way to verify your account, either it's a phone number or an active email.
Hard to believe just because you said it's "your phone". If it is, the linked mi account can be recovered either by email registered by it or a phone number used to verify the account. Unless both of your email and phone number is already inactive, it just makes the process longer, but still possible.
Reminds me of case of hardware dealer claimed Apple intentionally "lock" their laptops so that they cannot be resold. Whatever he claimed to be, either it's "donated, the owner didn't know", "bought at trusted refurbished reseller" -- when it's locked, it's hard to verify whether it was really donated or just "stolen". Some people would lie to meet their ends.
Do you have a custom recovery? If you have twrp or orangefox, then you can install a custom rom that is not miui and it doesn't ask you for a miui account.

You can only install a custom recovery and rom if the bootloader is unlocked.
For that you need a Mi account.
Because this isn't the case he is complete ruled out.
