Mate 20 lite stopped fast charging? - Huawei Mate 20 Lite Questions & Answers

This is something I noticed since upgrading to EMUI 9. My phone no longer says "Fast Charging" all I get is charging. I've tried swapping chargers but no difference.

[Z2 Pro] Quickcharge not working anymore?

Hey all,
a few days ago, I measured the Voltage during charging my Z2 Pro. No matter which power source I choose, its never going above 5V. If I remember correctly, former firmware versions always showed "fast charging" or something. ZUI 2.5 doesn't seem to do that at all for me. Did someone already notice that?

Unfortunately, it does not work for me either.
I think they deactivated it in Nugat.
AICP Rom doesn´t use Quick Charge too
I just ordered a couple of chargers with QC 3.0 yesterday. Too bad I didn't notice this thread first...

Fast charging issue after Emui 9.0.0.189 update

Does fast or quick charge works for anyone?
After updating to .189 my phone stopped fast charging.
Before I charged with my Aukey 3A charger and saw 2 bolts in battery icon. Now it shows only one bolt.
My version is C432.
How about other users?

Yes, I have the same issue. Also, my PC doesn't recognise the phone when connecting with a USB cable.
Edit: I had a faulty USB charging board. Part number is 02351YXN. Fairly easy to replace. You can find it here: https://is.gd/J1hvEM
The solution is to make use of the original supercharge/ fast charge adapter.
Same issue with 2 original chargers with my P10. Was working fine evening before the update to emui 9. Used to charge fully while on Spotify and connected to a Bluetooth speaker. Now at the end of the workout I have less battery than when I started charging. What a joke. Another thing pissing me off is that I keep minimizing the current application while typing on the keyboard. It pisses me off and never happened before...

Wireless Charging not working since latest firmware update.

Updated my phone with latest firmware and wireless charging has stopped working via the huawei official wireless charger.
Phone still charges normally via cable, I've checked wireless charger with another phone and its working fine. Reverse charge doesnt seem to be working either.
Anyone else had this problem

Thanks, Ive left mine on charge overnight twice since taking the update and havent charged at all.
Thanks for replying
I'm on 193 and the wireless charging stopped working for me.
I was using wireless charging daily. Now, it will flashe between charging and not charging several times. No indication on the phone that anything is happening.
193 here and wireless charging works fine
Mine stopped charging through USB cable and having difficulty to restart after last update. It's freezing at huawei logo and have to force restart several times to get through. Did a factory reset, and it worked again for a few days, but not anymore [emoji35]
Wireless charging works perfectly fine.

Yes, I was pointing out that I dont think it is related to the firmware version since I was on a different version than the OP.
I still havent found a solution. It triggers a response in the charger, but wont charge anymore.
My wireless charging stopped working a couple of months after owning the phone. I sent it off for repair under warranty to have the charging port be diagnosed as the fault. This seemed odd as it charged via wire absolutely fine. Since it's return it still doesn't reverse wireless charge however wireless charging seems to work intermittently. I've went from firm 9.1 all the way through to 10. My device was a pre-order, could there have been a batch of faulty P30 Pro's from launch? I'm reluctant to send it off again and be without my device for another month.
Hello, has anyone found a solution? Started working again?
My P30 Pro is not charging wirelessly, however reverse charging works normally.

The charging stops at 60%

Hey, before couple of days when I plugged the device to the charger I got a message said battery charging status abnormal.
And today the device stops charging when it got to 60%.
Try to reset the phone and nothing. Can't charge over 60%. What can I do?
Thanks

just back to earlier versions of EMUI
if you have a PC connect to HISUITE and select update then choose earlier version
you can't back 2 versions at same time you will back one version every time
the best version that will works for you is EMUI 9.1.0.133
that is my experience with my huawei phone after planing to send it to china for repair
it's a software issue not battery or hardware problem
Even though a bit late, updating for anyone who still faces this issue.
I also had this problem from Oct-20 and followed the steps to revert to older EMUI version for the phone to charge till 100%.
I did revert back to 10.0.0.195 and it started working for me normally. Immediately I had disabled all Auto-updates features.
Somehow, a system parameter update happened and again my phone went back to stop charging at 60%.
Now I believe this System Parameters update to be the root cause of the issue. I am using 10.1 version now without any problem since I haven't updated the system parameters.

Question Wireless Charging Capped At 50 Watts!!!

Hello Everyone,
Getting frustrated with this phone. Can't lie. I have the 80W wireless charger along with the 120W wired charger attached to that. However I'm unable to achieve the 67 watts charging this phone claims. It's getting to be very frustrating.
I tried to install EU Rom 12.5.12 Stable, and I'm still experiencing the same issue. In fact for a little bit there, I couldn't even fast charge at all. My phone suddenly stopped wireless charging at all. The animation that it's charging would be stated, but charging was extremely slow, maybe 1-2 percent in 20 minutes.
Finally got the phone fast charging wirelessly again, don't ask me how, just tried installing the firmware update someone posted, and then tried to roll back to 12.5.8, but I failed due to the phone requiring to be completely wiped first. Once restarted though it was fast charging, but still states only at 50Watts.
Can someone please help? Can I achieve 67W like the phone claims with this 80W wireless charger?
Bump, still only getting 50W charging.
Try 12.5.17
Yeah I updated..... Still nothing.
I read China has called for a cap on wireless charging to not exceed 50w and it will be reduced to 50w in all upcoming Xiaomi phones including the mi 12 ultra
Hopefully they haven't decided to apply it retroactively through the software lol
Looks like you might be onto something here.
My Mi 11 Ultra on Android 12 gets 67w charging, with a 120w charger, official 6A cable and 80w stand.
I don't understand why I can't get 67W. I also saw a video in which the guy went into battery settings and turned on quick charge. I don't have that option.

Maybe worth flashing a different ROM , maybe the latest EEU would fix the issue.... Or just use the cable
Using EEU. Tried China ROM also, no luck.
Yikes
This is due to the 50W regulation. Charging limits are baked into the new firmware.
