Question Wireless Charging Capped At 50 Watts!!! - Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra

Hello Everyone,
Getting frustrated with this phone. Can't lie. I have the 80W wireless charger along with the 120W wired charger attached to that. However I'm unable to achieve the 67 watts charging this phone claims. It's getting to be very frustrating.
I tried to install EU Rom 12.5.12 Stable, and I'm still experiencing the same issue. In fact for a little bit there, I couldn't even fast charge at all. My phone suddenly stopped wireless charging at all. The animation that it's charging would be stated, but charging was extremely slow, maybe 1-2 percent in 20 minutes.
Finally got the phone fast charging wirelessly again, don't ask me how, just tried installing the firmware update someone posted, and then tried to roll back to 12.5.8, but I failed due to the phone requiring to be completely wiped first. Once restarted though it was fast charging, but still states only at 50Watts.
Can someone please help? Can I achieve 67W like the phone claims with this 80W wireless charger?

Bump, still only getting 50W charging.

Try 12.5.17

Yeah I updated..... Still nothing.

I read China has called for a cap on wireless charging to not exceed 50w and it will be reduced to 50w in all upcoming Xiaomi phones including the mi 12 ultra
Hopefully they haven't decided to apply it retroactively through the software lol

Looks like you might be onto something here.

My Mi 11 Ultra on Android 12 gets 67w charging, with a 120w charger, official 6A cable and 80w stand.

I don't understand why I can't get 67W. I also saw a video in which the guy went into battery settings and turned on quick charge. I don't have that option.

Maybe worth flashing a different ROM , maybe the latest EEU would fix the issue.... Or just use the cable

Using EEU. Tried China ROM also, no luck.

Yikes

This is due to the 50W regulation. Charging limits are baked into the new firmware.

wireless charger very slow

hi guys, i'm from a 8 note and now i'm using sasung's original 8 wireless wireless charger to plow my new 9 notes, but i'm noticing that it's really slow, is it normal? I have the impression that even imposed fast charge does not change anything, do you have any suggestions?
im also using the wireless charger that I received from Samsung in 2018 for the note 8 promotion.
I can confirm that fast wireless charing takes 2 hours + on the note 9 and up to 3 hours when using slow wireless charging.
Also, keep in mind we have a way bigger battery so i am not surprised seeing these charge times compared to the note 8. I know Samsung released a new wireless charger so we might see better charge times on that??
I use the wireless charger I bought for my Note 4 for $12. It charges my phone in 2 hours from 50%, which is about double than using the cord. It doesn't say slow, or fast, just charging.
I use a Samsung wireless charger I had with a kit when I bought my S8+ and it says "Fast charging wireless" I believe. I use it to charge over night though so not sure how long it takes.
I use the ADATA CW0100 charger with Sony UCH10 QC2.0 Charger - the phone says it's fast charging but it takes about 3 hours to go from 11% to ~100% (with a clear case + bus card in between on the back). The interesting issue is which power brick I use. WIth Samsung's Adaptive Fast Charge power brick, I kept getting a charging paused error in the previous firmware, unless I have the phone placed in a very specific position without a case. With the update (N960FXXU2ARI9), it no longer gives me the error even if I charge it with a case, but the charging seems a bit more noisy in comparison to the UCH10 (there's no fans, it sounds like the inductor making a pulsing clicking sound). Will be checking its charging speed.
EDIT: I spoke to soon, it started the charging paused error again after I posted here. If you want to use third-party wireless chargers for fast charging, please use QC2.0/3.0 chargers instead of Samsung's own.

Super slow charging problem

Please help me get fast charging back. Like 3 months back, my phone suddenly stopped charging fast and since then its charging super slow. Like if I use it while charging it actually discharge. While switched off it takes 4+ hrs to fully charge.
I have replaced battery, usb assembly, charger, cable everything but to no avail. Now I think its a software issue. Maybe some kernel, firmware I screwed. I have tried Syberia, Xiaomi EU, Rev OS roms as well.
Ampere app never goes beyond 300 mah reading, whatever charge cable combination I try. Please throw if insights.
Thanks a lot

Fast charging issues

Hey guys! A few weeks ago I noticed that fast charging doesn't work with my usual power sources (Xiaomi Power Bank, Xiaomi QI Car Charger), even though it worked before that. I only get around 850 mAh with them. The only way it works if I use the original wall charger. I use the original and a Baseus cable. It is also slow with the phone turned off. Any ideas what causes this?
what rom

The fast charge brick is needed to power the basic functions of the charger. I suggest you get the 27W brick in order to get the 20w fast wireless charging

Xiaomi.eu ROM, I unlocked the bootloader a few weeks before this issue, but the problem also persists when the phone is turned off. Should I try to flash back the stock ROM with MI Flash?
My mi9 lite phone went slow charging too. Phone usually got a full charge after 2hrs but it went to 4hours to get a full charge after i connected my phone to transfer files to my laptop through a usb cable. What i did to get the 2hrs charging was reconnect my phone to the laptop using the same usb cable. At the phone a pop up appears with 3 choices...1st choice(forgot),2nd transfer files, 3rd transfer photos. I tapped the 1st choice and disconnected my phone. And i got my 2hrs full charging time back. Hope this will help.
I am on 12.0.2 and takes 2 hours to charge 90% mean that ~1.5 minute 1% charge
before flashing this ROM via EDL method took around ~1 hour with the original charger to charge from 20% to 90%

Battery/Charging issue

Hey everyone, how y'all doing?
I've got this problem for 2 months now where the charging has been super slow and no idea why. I am using the official charger and cable that came with the phone, I used my wife's s20's charger with same result and a third party charger with 3 different cables with similar results. Accubattery recorded that my phone's battery health is at 86% (3460mah) should I change it and lose my water/splash proof?
Oh yes I have flashed a few different ROMs (currently using Dr Ketan) with the same results except for evolution ROM, with the aosp ROM I was able to charge my phone from 14 percent to 100 in 90 minutes which is kinda weird...
Any advice would really help thank you

Get yourself one of those 2$ USB doctors. It will tell you how much power the phone is taking in. i.e. Fast charge should be 9 volts at about .8 amps and slow charge 5 volts at 1.5+ Amps.
Make sure your port is clean and moisture levels are low i.e should be below 80%.
I had this problem once when moisture was over 80%. It then went away. But at that time the phone will warn you about the extra moisture. It will say Moisture detected in USB port Fast Charging disabled.
The second time this happened was after the update to android 10. Had slow charging and overheating and audio acting up but that went away after re-setting the phone a few times and clearing cache.
The latest update to Android 10 seems to be causing a lot of issues with Display, Audio and overheating / slow charging. My audio chip finally stopped working. And the phone is now with Samsung.
My 2 cents if you see overheating and slow charging. Stop using the phone while its still working and take it to Samsung. Because if you continue to use it something will fail. And Samsung will want to give you a big fat bill to change it.

Thanks for the advice and I'll see to it. It's just yeah it seems like after android 10 things have been degraded
So apparently turning off fast charging in options gives me a faster charge time. With fast charge on it takes from 7% to 100% in 3 and a half hours and with fast charge off it takes 2 hours only.... Maybe my fast charging "chip" / "module" is broke?

Yes I have tried, the June update one and got the same results. I even formatted everything and went bone stock with the same results. I'm thinking of using some contact cleaner on the usb port but hesitant to do that...

Unless you see something in there I do not advise poking around inside.
I suspect your problem is that the Samsung USB cable packed up. And your trying with all kinds of cables and chargers. Go to a Samsung Store and ask them to check with a Samsung Cable and Charger.
I went thru this circus a few months back.
The only solution is to get a Samsung Charger with a Samsung Cable.
Then make sure fast charge is on. For wireless and wired charging. Wipe your cache and you should be ok.
I have seen way too many damaged USB ports from people trying to clean it. When there was nothing in there to start with. Use compressed air. If you see something in there.

Question Fast Charging (Slow) Problem

Hi, i have Redmi Note 10 Pro (sweet) and from 3/4 days i have facing fast charging (phone says fast charging) slow, 3 hours for charge fully and if i check with battery guru says max 5w output, official xiaomi charger and tried also with baseus 120w charger, before works well fast charging, any suggestion? other with this problem? Unlocked with latest twrp from nebrassy and MIUI Rog edition with delta kernel
Can you confirm that the phone is actually taking 3 hours to charge? Or is it just saying 3 hours until full? My phone was also showing 3 Hours Until Full but in actuality was not taking that long.
Take me about 45 minutes from 30% to 90%, it should be about 1h30m for 0 to 100%
try changing the orientation of usb-c connector on either or both charger and phone connection end and see.
I have no problems charging close to 33W with Xiaomi included charger or my Baseus 65W GAN charger which supports 33W profile. I charge at around 75%/hr
Looks like a problem with twrp /

If you have Magisk / Super user, they have modules to enable fast charging
Probable cause might be your charger cannot detect the charging profiles supported by your phone. For precaution it uses the slowest profile.
Also you may check with the kernal. Sometimes they purposefully disable fast charging.

I flash a known good rom as charging issues are hard to troubleshoot... reduce the variables.
Or trouble shot the current firmware if you are capable of doing so. The wrong value could cause hardware damage.
Could also be a sign a hardware fault condition exists.
Inspect port with a good light and magnification for any signs of damage. Clean if any debris or dust is present.
Use a known good OEM charger and cable. That means exactly what it says. It's also how I ended up with 2 Samsung bricks/cables
A friend or repair shop might let you use theirs.
Did not root my last two phones anymore. To much problems ;-)
Camera Api2 is activated by default on the 10 pro. So bootloader unlocking also not needed.

Can you link any module? The ones by Laptapper change what it displays, but don't actually change anything sadly.
