On my Compact V, I was quite looking forward to using the radio. But whilst outdoors it is barely audible.
When I play the inbuilt MP3 player, the volume is much louder. I’ve tried various stations, but they are all equally low in volume. Reception seems to be fine. I only listen to BBC Radio4 (sorry!).
Any ideas?

The radio has it's own volume, just use the volume control on the side while the FM radio is on and displaying.

Unfortunately that doesn't help either, volume is far too low. I've been looking for a solution all over the place already too... found nothing that worked.

What happens on the display when you use the volume buttons? Because I have installed a cab on my phone which caused the volume control in the FM radio to stop working.
Yes i am surprised that nobody talk about this problem already.
It is true that the fm radio is low.
And no the radio does not have its own volume.
It is the same as the system volume.
In order to be able to hear something you must set the volume almost to the maximum.
When you receive a sms, it rings so loud into your headphone.
I tried to HD tweak but no result......

My phone's FM radio has it's own separate volume. Like I said before, that it's possible that you installed something that caused the seperate volume to stop working.

Before I installed anything on y phone, the volume had been low. I have installed tomtom7, however i dont think that is the cause.
Like I say, when I play an mp3 file, the volume is loud. At first I thought it may be to do with the reception, but all the stations are the same (there is a marginal difference is the reception is very good).
Thanks
Max

Try this metod that works on my D2
with a reg editor modify:
HKLM\Software\HTC\FMRadio\FMPlayer
Dword: "Volume" change the value that you see, with this in decimal"4294967295" save and go on FmRadio...works? ok thats all for me naturally.

Mine was set to 43260 (Dec), I put your value and started the FM Radio, but the max volume did not increase
I quit FM Player and noticed the Volume RegKey was changed to 6180 (Dec) , obviously after I quit FM Radio.
.
Ok...6180 that's happen also fo me, but now work normally.
you can only try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=534362 is the only chance you have to encreas the overal audio.
I admit that is a bad audio bug also for ring sound, i mean, i hope solve in a future rom revision.

You can try Meltus's audio mod, but I haven't heard of anybody's elses volume being affected by rooting.
How i do the Metus mod audio??????????
i wonder if there's a way to decrease the volume of the headphones when listening the FM radio. The lowest level is still too loud
What software are you using? Power Radio has more precise volume control.
I recently upgraded to 826X ROM which basicly brought my old X1 back to life and I am very happy with it. Radio rom is 1.17.x I even tried with 1.14.x
But, for some reason, the volume in Radio is very low compare to volume I can get from, for example, CorePlayer. The signal level is OK, 4, 5 bars and there is no static heard, just clear reception. I can listen to it using headphones, but when turning it to phone's speaker I need to be in a very quite eviroment. But even on headphones, I can get much more out of CorePlayer...
Tried the audio booster that came with the ROM, no difference. Is there some setting in registry or anywhere, to change the volume of radio or what to do?
Oh and yea, I am one of those weirdos that listen to radio a lot, instead of my own playlists
i also would like to know...the speakersound with audio booster cab is good when i use windows media player, tcpmp or other programms but when i have a phone call, the speaker sound is not very loud or clear...any chance to change that?
well, here is something that is worth mentioning ... check on your screen. there is a button that looks like speakers with a "NO" sign on it ... like the don't cross sign. press that and see if it changes anything.
So I was using RR Marshmallow, but just went to the stock Marshmallow ROM the other day. When I was using RR and I was connected to my bluetooth speaker, changing the volume on the speaker changed the bluetooth volume on the phone (i.e. would actually show volume on phone changing). Since I went to stock, the volume on the speaker is separate from the phone. I would prefer it to be in sync and changing one changes the other, but I don't see any way to set that. Anyone have any advice?
Thanks!
