Data 3g/LTE not working in EU - T-Mobile LG G6 Questions & Answers

Hello i brought model from Tmobile and i live in Europe. The phone is fully working apart data transmission. I checked the most of bands are equal so should work anyway. I will appreciate any help.

Have you put in APN settings, saved them, and selected them to be used? Also, with Android 8.0 sometimes mobile data is turned off by default. Just check and make sure it is toggled to on position.

Also, in your phone dialer dial 277634#*#, in the menu that shows up, scroll down to band selection, select all bands and save. If this helps let us know so others know what to do as well. Thanks.

I am confirming this works! Thanks man.

But it doesnt sticks for long.

[SOLVED] Stuck with Roaming - Slim ICS

Hello,
I just installed Slim ICS 4.0.4 and S I9000 essentials, as instructed.
However, I am now stuck with roaming mode. I searched and found some spn-conf.xml-trick and tried it, but no luck.
I'm on Saunalahti's network (which is Internal MVNO of Elisa). When I pull down the notification area, it shows Saunalahti as supposed to, but I still get this little letter R next to the singal bars. And data doesn't work if I don't enable data on roaming.
Any suggestions how to fix this? I live near the country's border and there's some Russian networks available too, so I really don't want to enable data on roaming
Any help is appreciated.
edit -
I found and tried this but no luck.
I'm on Saunalahti too and had the exact same problem with AOKP Milestone 4. The modem doesn't treat Saunalahti as a home network because it is a "Mobile Virtual Network Provider" = MVNP Inside Elisa's network. The solution was to flash a Nexus S radio: LINK . KB3 has worked fine for a few days now without a problem

Is your GPS working? Just asking, I had problems with it...
Thank you! just flashed as instructed and it's all working now!
I'll test gps later today and report back.
Thank you once more
Gps works. Pretty accurate too. Haven't tested while on the move but when standing still on the balcony, it gets fix and fast.
Sorry to resurrect this thread, but im on Saunalahti too, and using the Nexus S KB3 modem.. but is there a way to get rid of the Roaming sign on other modems? I want to use XXJVU because i get a better signal on it, but i also get the Roaming sign on it too..

T-Mobile LTE and no data

T-Mobile rolled out the 4G LTE in my city and my rooted and unlocked phone automatically connected to it. I can make calls to it, however, there is no internet. Anyone experiencing the same thing? Tried switching all the different mobile networks in the settings.

Just wondering how do you know it was connected to LTE. Did the icon change?
Did you get your data back when it was switched back to HSDPA+?

Same here, I've been googling since this motning. New icon (4G LTE) showed in the corner and internet is gone. Tried fiddling with "LTE Setting"/"LTE Unlimited"/"LTE Discovery" apps from Appstore - no change. Weird... I think lots of people should be having that problem by now...
youll probably have to enter new APN settings. ask someone from the Tmo SGS3 or Note 2 forum for their LTE connected APN settings
Or look in the market for apn tweaker to get the settings.

The new APN is fast.t-mobile.com.
Can someone try it?

i've set up a new access point and put fast.tmobile.com (no dash) in. Now internet works, showing 4G icon only, i didn't change my physical location though. I am in Houston now. Will check mms settings. i believe they've rolled out with the city-wide upgrade like a day before...

No go. Just reverted by itself to 4G LTE and internet is gone. Will try something else.

OK. Confirmed. For the 4G LTE to work you need to have in the APN settings:
fast.t-mobile.com (WITH the dash)
FULL internet is working now, did not notice much of a change of speed in comparison to 4G I had before.
Running on rooted 4.1.1 MB886 (AT&T Atrix HD, unlocked)
Mobile network type LTE:13
Sorry, I had been out all day. I tried all the APN settings they gave me and what the associate over the phone told me about, none worked. One of them said to go to a t-mobile store and ask for a "LTE" sim card. I did and now it's all working.

Hi,
I can confirm pjaca's method works.
Just change APN to "fast.t-mobile.com" nothing else.
I live in San Jose and it is one of the cities to get LTE but not where I live.
I was on a hunt for LTE this afternoon and not all area in San Jose have LTE.
If your phone is getting LTE signal you should see "4G LTE" logo next to your signal bars.

That's great news
Couple questions -
I just got my Atrix HD and I'm in an area that doesn't have LTE currently. I get awesome HSPA service though. Any advantage/disadvantage of changing my APN?
Also, the APN setting is grayed out, do I need to make a new entry or something?
Thanks!
I have tmobile on my unlocked ahd..I tried three apn settings epc.tombile.com, fast.t-mobile.com and good old apn internet2.voicestream.com....they all show different reading in speedtest.net download speed range 1mb-8mb and upload speed range 768kb-2.1mb....as soon as I switch I get the highest range then it dies off....all apn behave all the same way..then again, I am in NYC and doing it from home avg 3bars but I don't think that mattters...and neither does any of the apn for me they all the same...however out of curiosity I will try again outside when I get full bar
But those of you having trouble in tmobile can try any of the above three apn setting and see which one(if not all) is working for you...technically they all should work
I added the new APN settings and the LTE icon appears in the status bar but I can't connect to the internet

Carrier Aggregation

Anbody turn on their Carrier Aggregation on their phones and found a secondary b41 band?
Yes, with Carrier Aggregation. Many locations listed over in s4gru.com in their premier section. Not yet common, but found in many parts of the country.
How did you turn this on?
I just checked and is enabled for me as well as CA. I didn't touch them, they were enabled by default, I am in Boston area. Installed OTA recently. Didn't check before the OTA.

in diler ##3282# (##DATA#) then click LTE.
Select view to see if it's already on. Select Edit , to turn them on. You will be asked for your MSL code. I've mentioned how to get it in a parallel thread.
Yea. I havent seen anything yet. Lots of clearwire cells up here.
I manually enabled carrier aggregation on mine the other day. I haven't been out to test it around St Louis. The tower closest to my house has yet to see B41 even though the permits were issued a longgggg time ago.

I do believe I have 2x20.
I dialed ##DATA# on my phone, went to LTE, and didn't see an option for carrier aggregation. I looked through all of the settings, and it wasn't there. Is there a way to manually enable it, or does my phone (for some stupid reason) not have it?

It's just "CA" under LTE.

Nexus 6 on Sprint- Unable to use 3G, only LTE or 1x

I have a Nexus 6 activated on Sprint. My phone will only connect to either LTE or 1x. Any time it would normally connect to 3G, it will first show signal bars with no data icon. In LTE discovery I will have bars of eHRPD but it never actually establishes a 3G connection. Then after a few minutes of that it just drops down to 1x and stays there.
I have tried: flashing complete factory MRA58N, *#*#72786#*#* , update PRL, update profile, new SIM card and nothing fixes it. I think it's an issue on Sprint's end and not the phone but is there anything else I can try?
I ported my number to Project Fi, then decided to port back to Sprint to see if a new activation would help... but it didn't.
Any input?
how did you activate the phone? sprint isnt a "pop in a sim and you're good" carrier, you have to activate the sim AND the phone's radio for everything to work. go to a store if you cant figure it out with sprint over the phone

you also have to have the right model phone, if you have XT1103 you're good, but any other model wont work.

Can't seem to change network mode?

I can't seem to get a network mode change to stick, no matter what I do it reverts to LTE/WCDMA/GSM(auto). It doesn't even show it as changing, no matter what I select the selection box always shows LTE/WCDMA/GSM(auto).
I'm on a stock rom. rooted via UniKernal, with minimal debloat via TB.
I sometimes need to force WCDMA only to keep my phone from roasting through the battery in a bad signal area.
Any ideas? Reboot didn't do anything, custom APN didn't help.
Dial #*2263# then under band selection make sure it is set to automatic. I had the problem it was making me crazy.
