Is your phone unlocked and hardspl'd ? Even if someone could upload it for you, the fact that your serial number doesn't work, means that you be blocked from loading it onto your phone unless it is CID unlocked.

I'm looking at sammobile to download some firmware for my phone which is gt-s5830
but in the list I can see models beginning gt, sc, sch, sgh, shv, shw, sph, yp and just wondered what each 1 means?

Nor regional codes,each phone has a unique model number irrespective of the region..a different model number implies that the phone is different from the other phones..

You need to S-OFF and then you'll be able to flash the firmware you desire.

how about posting a "fastboot getvar all" (excluding IMEI and s/n), cause this doesnt sound like a m7_u/ul

I think your phone is a clone (fake), not real HTC. MediaTek processor.....

Got it checked from a mobile outlet he said your phone is orignal just the firmware is in chinese
he checked it through bootload or something by pressing power and volume key
it was all in chinese though he knew about the options he said its orignal ive checked its just got a chinese firmware
anyone help please ? link to proper firmware please

search the baseband version on the Internet.
You'll see that the same baseband pops up for Samsung, HTC etc. Just the case is different, underneath it's the same clone hardware.

Isn't there a way to root this device yet?

Isn't there a way to root any version of this device yet? I can live without cyanogenmod or many custom roms but without root would be really tough.

There is root and cyanogenmod 12 for g800f and g800h.

I know about cyanogenmod but I'm wondering about root. Where are the posts about root? Can you post them here? I looked in the development and original development (as well as the general forum) and didn't see anything.

I used this method to root my SM-G800F:

Just unlock bootloader in Motorola's devices, in Samsung's devices no need it but your knox counter will trigger like unlock bootloader (warranty is void)

Yours is still a G800F phone. There shouldn't be any problem using the method suggested.

Wow thank you for the swift response! I'm sure you are correct, but my only concern is the bottom of the post containing the tutorial states its ONLY for a build No. different from mine. Again any further advice would be a great help! Thanks

I hadn't notice that. I guess you can ask in some chainfire specific forum or wait for someone that has rooted successfully with a slightly different phone model number.

I performed a software update when I got the phone a few weeks ago - does this change the build No? Kind of annoying if so, haha - as probably could have rooted with the method mentioned otherwise!
Anyway, thanks a lot for the advice I'll check in a Chainfire forum.

Have rooted my phone now! :good: Found the info on another thread - it would appear that the root file I used (CF-Auto-Root-kminilte-kminiltexx-smg800f.tar.md5) is identical to the one mentioned in this thread - so in this case build No doesnt seem to matter. Cheers

Hi,
I need for a project the basic info of the Sony Xperia Z3+. So, please, I appreciate if someone can print or copy the values of SYSTEM in the App DevCheck ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=flar2.devcheck ).
You can hide/remove the IMEI, Serial Number and Device ID (not share such info!). However, I need to know: Model, Codename, Manufacturer, SKU, Bootloader and Radio.
