Galaxy S6 G920T - Stock Firmware ! - Galaxy S6 Active

So. I litterally messed my phone up hardcore.
followed some halfassed guide on google, installed this combination file for Factory Binary.
Spent the next week trying to figure out how my Origional OS went from " G920TUVU5FQK1 " to g920tuvu6ara1 - which , litterally doesnt exist.
Downloaded over a Dozen... firmware files {AP} files only and was unaware i needed 4 files total.
Finally found a link that had 4 files and i didnt have to pay for lol.
Just installed it and... Vwalla.. the phone is working like a charm.
Now im looking into some modified updates i noticed on here
https://combinefile.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=file&id=24193
Here is the link i downloaded my .7zip file from! Dunno if this helps anybody else

Update fail linked to a specific version firmware? Maybe only Odin3 reflashers?

I see the update is failing for a lot of people on the Samsung Captivate. Mine was reflashed using Odin3, and the update failed like so many others. I reflashed using Odin3 again, tried the update, and the same exact thing happened. The update fails at 50%.
The first time around, I was rooted and lagfixed, I tried it that way, then unrooted and tried again.
The second time around, I made absolutely no changes to the phone whatsoever, except signing in to my google account, and upping the screen timeout to 30 mins.
Doubt that this information is helpful to anybody, but was hoping maybe these symptoms would point to a trend as to why so many people's Captivates can't update.
Also, how many of you that failed used an Odin3 reflash any time before it failed?
I just flashed back to stock using the Odin One Click program and my updated failed at 50%. I tried 4 different time with the same result. I even reflashed a second time, did a Master Clear, and a Factory Reset. Stil no joy.
This morning as soon as I saw the news of the release I immediately hit the software update in the settings menu. Downloaded and just before I went to install I decided maybe it would be smart to do a rom backup with rom manager. Did that, and went ahead and then attempted to install it. It got to 100% and then said update failed, rebooted, said the same thing, update wasn't successful. However, if you checked about phone, it said it was jh7, but none of the jh7 stuff was there. The phone was rooted, sideload enabled, clockwork installed, and bloat removed, that's it. Never flashed a rom or lag fix or anything like that.
At this point I decided to try using the odin one click to stock jf6. Installed it, and tried to update again. Now, I'm getting what most people are getting, update fails very quickly at 50%, the phone reboots with no changes.
So I decided to use my clockwork backup, and restore my phone back to what it was before all this started this morning. Of course, since I remembered to do the backup AFTER downloading and postponing the update, it's sitting there waiting to go. Decided to try it and see if it acted the same as this morning, and now it's doing what it did right after the jf6 one click, gets to 50% and then fails with no effect.
How complete a wipe/restore of the phone is using rom manager? Because the update behavior on mine is different now after messing with odin than it was before, even after restoring it with rom manager.
Rooted with Sideloading on JH2. Not much else done to my phone. It has always worked well.
I didn't even get a percentage when trying to install. Just reboots and says "Update Failed".
Same issue here. Flashed back to JF6 using Odin one click. Update fails at 50%.
Only thing i can think of its that, that particular fw in odin is not the original fw flashed on the phone when bought and it does some sort of checksum or some kind of check.
50%, puke, and now when I click on update it tells me no firmware which I think is funny.
has anyone tried the firmware from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=777291
?
I don't have a PC at work (or even a x86 Mac) to play with.
Mine did the samething. I've used the the one click reinstaller a few times after trying out different roms. Maybe the one click installer changes something and it's blocking the update from totally completing. I hate to reinstall everything again but maybe theres a better way to do a total factory restore so we can get the update.
I'd guess that if it's doing a difference update (just applying the new stuff, not a full ROM) it needs a checksum match to be sure it doesn't bork the phone. Failing that (i.e. anything different from a pure stock phone) it will abort at some point.
There is a pure JF6 stock rom linked somewhere here on the forum--I'll see if I can find it, but it was never stickied or anything. Some guy just uploaded it because the one-click wasn't "pure" so to speak.
I guess this is their way of saying "you don't like our firmwares in the first place, you don't get this one either!"
Mine did all the same as you guys , failed at 50%. So I just got a new phone from att , told them it keep failing update. Did update right in store on new phone and boom installed no problem. On top of that gps is dead on, on new phone with update. Didn't get to try with out update. Already made sure I can get into download mode, no problems there. Note just scared to flash any roms since gps is perfect lol.

Omg and no xda force close lol . Also rf cal date is 7/10/2010 , old phone rf cal date was 8/07/10
Gps couldn't lock to nothing.

I tried using the Samsung Kies program and it says "this device's version cannot be updated". I'm wondering if that one click installer is not what it should be. Maybe if we flash to a different Captivate firmware the Kies program will update it.
I agree, I just like the way the one click installer worked. I know there's other roms/kernels posted, and I guess I'll have to do some legwork here. Here's hoping.
Just reflashed back to stock for the third time using Odin3 One Click and now when I check for updates it It says No Updates Available. Prior to this, it would dwnload the updated and reboot the phone and fail at 50% while installing. Frustrating!
I never use the 1click odin, I always put the .pit and the JF6 file into the 'normal' odin and use that -- haven't seen if anyone has tried that yet anywhere? Maybe that'll work.
BTW I still have no update available even after calendar trick :/
Hey guys, I did root my captivate. My question is do I need to un-root the device to apply the gps update or it does not matter.
Just downloaded JF6
how would I flash this back to my phone?
sorry if thats a stupid question but I cant find an answere seraching
I downloaded JF6 from Samfirmware.com. I'm going to back up my current ROM, then do an Odin w/Repartition and use the JF6 from Samfirware.com.
We'll see if that works. . . .

Tried this a little while ago. I went to run the update and now it's saying that no updates are available.
I spent about an hour on the chat window with ATT support and they can't seem to find a way to reset it to push again. The guy on the other end was knowledgeable as far as I could tell.
hell - he even mentioned froyo. He said they have ALOT of information on it for the captivate but no release date yet.

[Q] S Pen Not Working and flashing problems

Hi Guys & Gals.
I've searched through the forum and a few google pages but cant find a similar problem.
I got my Note and everything was hunky dory apart from a few bloatware programs.
Since I have moved over from a Desire and Desire S, I'm not a total n00b when it comes to rooting and flashing. Mostly thanks to how easy the developers here have made it!
So I rooted my Note mostly so I could install Titanium Backup(pro) and then I installed Root Uninstaller and took off a few bloat programs, like the Samsung Apps and the Cartoon game. The phone still worked fine and I didn't think much of it.
Since then I have found that the S Pen doesn't work. So I restored the apps best I could through Titanium Backup, but that hasn't worked.
So I thought I would have to get the original stock Rom and reflash. Which Is a little harder than I thought it would be. I found the thread linking to SamMobile where I tried to find the Kernel and the UK Orange stock rom. A little confused by it all trying to find the right version to be honest.
This is the position I am in now, installed the Pro version of Rom Manager wich didn't work. Rooted again and installed CWM, again it didn't work. So now I purchased Odin and tried that but it wont show any of the zip'd and unzip'd files that I have download in the inbuilt file explorer.
I have also tried following the steps in this thread to no avail. It wont complete the process with the file found by CheckFus.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1386356
And I have looked at the Stock ROMS saved on Sammobile. Found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1350622
But I am unsure which version I need.
I am in the UK on Orange, if anyone can help point me directly to which ROM I need?!
PDS: N7000XXKKA
PHONE: N7000XXKK5
CSC: N7000XEUKK3
I must admit I am a little lost and dont want to brick my new Note!
Please can someone give the help i need?!

Looking for P7310UELA3 / XARLA3 stock ODIN

I've been digging deep into the web looking for this old stock ROM and I just can not find it anywhere. Does anyone here still have a backup perhaps?
You can download it from here , http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/6285/P7310UELPB_P7310XARLPB_XAR/
That's Android 4.0. I'm actually looking for Honeycomb which is the version in the thread title.
I have it!
I have a copy of this actually! I've had it for a while, as I have one of these tablets that I got a couple of years ago and wanted to have a way to restore it completely to stock once I was done with it. I actually just used it this evening to restore the tablet to stock from the 5.1.1 ROM I had tried (which did not work very well at all unfortunately).
Send me a PM and we'll figure out how to get it to you. It's about 380mb and the filename is:
GT-P7310_XAR_P7310UELA3_P7310XARLA3_P7310UELA3.7zip
I also have the .pit file, which will help to re-partition the device if it's really hosed up. I also used this tonight to start the tablet off from a complete ground zero state.
Thanks!
Matt

Note 3 N900A 5.0 Lollipop root problems! Help?

Hey guys!*
First time posting on this site but I'm hoping you guys can help!
I have a Note 3 N900AUCUEOC2 5.0 Lollipop version.
My ultimate goal is to root my Note 3. Since in the past I have rooted my old phones and love it. But with the Note 3, specially the N900a 5.0 lollipop version, it seems hardest to get accurate root instructions for.*
After days of searching over many forums, I came to the conclusion that I need to flash my version (using Odin) Lollipop 5.0 OC2 back to Kitkat 4.4 NC2 and then from there I can use Towel Root to root my device and then upgrade to 5.0 again. So I thought..?
First of all, I backed up all my contacts and apps and everything using Easy Back Up. To my ext SD card an then I removed my ext SD card for safe keeping. Then I downloaded the required (working) Odin N900AUCUCNC2 files. Which was 4 separate files. I then put my phone into Odin Mode and connected to PC and ran Odin with the files selected. Everything went smooth, passed and my phone rebooted.. of course I was expecting a full factory reset with the new version. But when I check the version it says I'm still on 5.0??? And I even tried to fire up Towel Root and it won't even let me go to the site anymore and gives me a 404 error messege. All other sites seem to work tho.
Also to confuse things more, I turned off my phone and put my SD card back in to retrieve my back up and everything else on it. But... there's nothing there! It's complete wiped clean! Which doesn't make sense since I didn't have it inside my phone during the flashing progress.*
So now I basically flashed my phone for nothing and lost all my data in the process.*
I thought I was more computer savy than this but I guess this one stumped me and I could really use your guys help.*
Where did I go wrong and how can I fix it?
Please remember to help us keep the forums clean by only posting once. You're getting answers in your original thread so I am closing this one so the discussion can continue there.

Just bought an old Note 5. Unroot?

Just bought a Note 5, used. It's rooted. I want to unroot. How do I go about doing this? I know theres a couple "guides" online. However, I don't trust their download links and they link to very slow file upload sites that will take a day to download 2GB to get the stock ROM file. I asked the guy I got it from and he said his buddy used a program to "one click" it, so I don't think the kernal or anything was messed with, just a modified stock.
