The phones are nearly identical will the same soc and camera, could oxygen os be ported for k20 pro, because let's face it, oxygen os is a lot better than miui. I want those fancy animations and buttery performance.

Many of us here are not as brilliant as you. So please stop bragging and making others feel bad. The discussion on this thread is getting hampered. There are many people who come to XDA just to find alternative ROMs. I jsut want a Oxygen os ROM that works in my phone, and this thread was started for that request. If you can't help, it's ok. But don't post something that makes people like us (Noobs) feel bad that we don't know something and dont answer. This makes the objective of the thread to be defeated.
So once again: if any has ported or made any custom oxygen ROM, please post it. I just want to flash that ROM, because I know that much

There's no problem to ask politely for a port. But it feels like you are demanding for one. Or that's what I get from your posts. This community is still in it's early stages I believe, so you will have to be patient. Most likely no one's working on a port yet.
Yes, I am polite and always request and never demanded anything here.

Brilliant or not... First you should search yourself a lil bit before posting some questions. This always the first rule here.
I tell you there is a 95% chance that nobody won't port OxygenOS to this device except the GSI rom. But good luck.
Anybody tried this? Is it booting or not?

I think the Honor 6 codename was hwH60 or something like that.
Please delete the links or the entire thread as soon as possible, if people will start flashing this then we will likely have a lot of bricked devices. Venipa, this is horrible irresponsibility on your side to upload links to unknown stuff without even testing it yourself (even if you put a disclaimer)! And to all the guys thinking that we will magically get working CM one day, think again. You found a semi-official build of CM for some Huawei device and seriously thought it's a H60 build we didn't hear about before? If there is ever a proper CM release, it will take time to do it. But people posting stuff like "I've already posted the Full Source including Kernel Source and still no one wants to do it" will never understand how hard it is to make a ROM, or what exactly "full sources" mean...

I'm not a developer so somebody else should be able to explain it better, but in general, the sources provided by Huawei are at most only useful enough to make a AOSP-style ROM based on the same Android version as the EMUI ROM the source is released for. So, no CM, no newer Androids than Marshmallow, etc.
nooo, got my hopes up (

Its because we dont have devs and our device isnt that popular.Kirins arent the most rom friendly cpus, but they arent totally useless.

Okay, this proves me wrong. And obviously, I completely ignored the fact that our device already had a CM port, so indeed with a dedicated developer we'd have a chance to get something. What I probably should've said is that a potential developer has a lot of work ahead because of poor sources quality from Huawei, and absolutely no chance to make an official CM port for example. Of course, this all is based on random stuff I read on XDA about it, so you guys should wait until someone more knowledgeable responds to have a clear picture on the problems the development for this device is facing.
Heartbreak.

Will there be a custom rom without MIUI?
I am definately confused about the situation here. Are the kernel resources all completely released? Is there a progress in developing a "free" rom for this absolutely phantastic device?
Nevertheless, the lineage is at the moment the best rom for me, but it is groundet due to gpl violations. How comes? Thought it is free???!!! Will there be a dev, coming up with a new lineageos? With all functions working? Is it time to say good bye before the progress startet???? Is there someone with a better an real view on these questions? Thx, Ray

Well there is a bit of development. Let's hope that it gets better but at the end we can't do anything more than this. Besides this I have currently my examination going on, I am not a dev but with my brother we will try to port some roms from Mido to oxygen. Let's hope that situations get better.
Update(29/05/20): We have now Android 10 build for our Realme 1. Check out the thread here: [ROM][CPH1859/61][10][UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 17.1
Download the latest build and twrp recovery given there and flash!
Update(11/03/20): I have resumed development. The first build is already up. Check it here: LineageOS 16.0 for Realme 1
I will start bug fixing and weekly builds soon.

Firstly, those builds are Ports and not compiled from Source. Also after Android 7.1.2 Nougat and Treble Enbaled devices things have changed and not easy as they used to be. When I worked for Meizu devices I was successful in booting AOSP ROM for 2-3 devices but that not how things work now!
Bro we got stable pie now, team up who have experience developing rom for mediatek devices and please try lineageOS 16
Can't I use this rom for oppo f7 youth? As i know both are one.
I am happy with stock OS and rootless launcher !
I don't feel any other ROM required!

I'd like to volunteer to contribute in the dev process. I haven't ever done anything related to custom ROMs but I'd like to try and invest a few weeks/months into it. Invincible-Venom, it'd help me a lot if we could connect via some IM service (discord? or smth).

Thanks for showing interest pal but I need some experienced guys to join me. Firstly, you try building ROMs for any other device which you own from scratch(Build trees, make them stable) then you will learn how things work. Also this is Mediatek device with Treble enabled so things are not easy here.
Thanks!!

So all the hopes are dead for a decent stock custom ROM?
Hi everyone.
I have a OnePlus 3T (obviously) running the original, stock, OxygenOS version 9.0.6
I decided to move on to Android 10, using one of the available custom roms.
My question is, what roms do you recommend? in my previous phones, my go-to rom was Cyanogenmod, which I understand has turned to LineageOS. I looked at Lineage but I understood that the android 10 version of it for the oneplus 3t is experimental, so i'd rather something that is "official".
So, which roms do you recommend, and why?
Thanks in advance
Here you have a list of all ANdroid 10 roms for OP3/3T.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...o-roms-kernels-available-3-t3688139?nocache=1
Each of them can be described as "stable". The main question is which features you value. I like minimalist and very battery friendly roms. Customizing is not so important for me.

Thank you!
I remember an old "rule" about roms, and i'm not sure if this is still true, but it's "you can't have them all".
So i'd say I prefer customizing and, like you said, something that is battery friendly. Which rom do you use?

Yes the old rule is still current.
I use Official crDroid 6.3. It has very good battery life, the most needed customizings and is very stable.
Atention. Android Auto don't work any ROM.

Already I haven't OP3T, but I was using LOS 17.1 and I could use Android Auto. However, I couldn't use my bank app.
I recomend you that you search and read on others ROMs.
I'd like to revive this thread and extend it to Android 11 ROMs. I see there are five in the list that's linked to in the first answer of this thread. Can anyone recommend one, from personal experience? After a terrible time on Lineage 17.1 this summer, I fell back to the official 9.0.6, and I don't want to go through that again with Android 11.
It's annoying to be coming up on a year without support on my OP3t when I'm running Android 10 with the September 2020 security patch on my 2013 Nexus 5. I bought this phone in 2017 because I thought it would continue to be useful long after OnePlus stopped official support, but it hasn't worked out that way.
Any wisdom out there? I don't want to buy a Pixel 5 and throw the 3t in a drawer.
Hi. I'm fairly noob when it comes to custom ROMing/rooting phones. I mean I do watch vids bout these on YT, but never had a smartphone to do so myself. Finally, I'm buying a refurbed OnePLus3T (6/64). I'm just in love with the Pixel Experience ROMs and would like to have that as my daily driver. I know about the encryption issue on 3T. Can someone be kind enough to link me towards:
~ rooting and installing TWRP on my phone.
~ A tutorial to installing PixelExperience rom on it.
Currently, I've found these two Roms: PlayFriik & Gaurav24 . What is the difference b/w these two? Which should I choose ?
Thanks a lot. :fingers-crossed:
