N9600 question - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

Is the SM-N9600 the same as the SM-N960 ??
I'm a little confused here lol

No, 9600 is the snapdragon variant for China and some other places in the world, it is usually dual sim and rootable.

Thank you, but unfortunately I have already visited that site and it does not mention the Sm-N960 variant eBay sellers have the 960 variant listed as well as the 9600 which confused me so I thought maybe they were the same.

Galaxy Note 9 Developer Ecition

Is there any news on Samsung doing a Developer Edition of their Note 9 Verizon models like they did for the Note 4 and the Note Edge? I really want to get my hands on that 512gb phone, but cant see myself committing to the locked bootloaders.
no, there isn't.

? just buy a exynos F or N or SD 9600
problem solved.
After a bit of googling and searching amazon I was only able to find AT&T compatible international versions, I remember someone saying the other CDMA phones worked on a different band then the US Verizon bands. When I google Exynos CDMA I get told Exynos isn't compatible with CDMA because the radios for it aren't installed on those phones.
Not gonna happen
There is no talk of a Developer Edition and is unlikely as none of the recent Notes have had one. The Exynos models don't have the proper LTE bands for Verizon. The N9600 is a Snapdragon, but I'm not sure if it runs the correct bands for Verizon either.

The n9600 works fine, with all lte bands and cdma on vzw. I'm using one now. No volte or ca YET. Once I get root, I should at least be able to get volte.

Where did you get your SM-N9600? The ones listed on Amazon claim to be the 9600 international version but they all say GSM only no CDMA.
EDIT: I found this: https://www.techwalls.com/samsung-galaxy-note-9-sm-n960-model-number-differences/
It lists the different model numbers. it seems the 9600/9608 have all the bands listed under the 960U*** versions that are important to Verizon.

Amazon. They always list the international version has no CDMA. No clue why they do, but they are wrong.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up, I will make my way right on over there and get me one on Thursday when I get paid. One question, when you select language does it give the option for US English or only Brittish English? Not really a problem, just curious as I have never bought an international version.

It was defaulted to UK English, but reg English is available. Make sure to ask the seller if it has Latin fw. You NEED that for vzw.

I only see one on amazon, I checked ebay also and they look pretty much the same situation over there. none of them mention if it has the latin firmware with 1 exception. there is one being resold on ebay and the guy mentioned it was the hong kong version. Is yours the dual sim one? and if it is the right model with the snapdragon processor, couldn't I just flash the Latin Firmware via Odin?

I pulled the trigger on the Prism Green S10+ (G975F/DS) from them on Thursday. Looks like it is shipping out on Monday (I thought it might be last Friday) since they claimed it was in stock. I've bought a few phones from them before and they've always delivered so am hoping that they come through!
Reading on down that Ebay listing I see one thing in the specs that has me wondering.
"OS Android 9.0 (Pie); One UI
ChipsetExynos 9820 Octa (8 nm) - EMEA
Qualcomm SDM855 Snapdragon 855 (7 nm) - USA/LATAM, China"
That doesn't mean that they will ship a Snapdragon model to the US does it bacause it sure reads that way unless that's just a copy/paste of Samsung's specs.
You're reading too much into it. It's just a copy paste.

When buying crap off Ebay, I never read too much into it.
Sorry for the bit off topic question but why would you even want the Exynos version? AFAIK the 855 beats the 9820 benchmark wise. The only reason I see to get the Exynos version is its 8K video recording potential (if we can hack it to work).

That's not really true from what I have seen, the Exynos beats out the Snapdragon in both single core & multicore, correct me if I'm wrong......

If Samsung's history with the past several S models remains the same, the Exynos version will have a fully unlocked bootloader, while the USA 855 models will be fully locked down.

You have a point there, but there is a possibility of network incompatibilities with US carriers. I heard that some T-Mobile bands are unsupported.

I can't speak to the S10 models, but I have both a T-Mobile (Qualcomm) and international (Exyonos) S7. I've never seen a difference in connectivity or download speeds between the two of them. I'm guessing the situation will be similar with the S10, but only time will tell. The reality for me is that the current speed and quality of connection I get is terrific, and I'd assume that either S10 version will at least equal and probably better what I'm getting now. Our needs all vary, of course, but I'll sacrifice some download speed (if that even ends up being the case) for an unlocked bootloader every time.

Question Which S21 Ultra has MST? eSIM?

As title. Korean model G998N supposedly has MST? Which other regions/models have it? what about eSIM?
UK dual sim. I have it in the options

So it should have eSIM on all the international versions then.
Wonder if the CN/TW G9980 also has it?
No confirmation on MST anywhere?
No esim option on g9980
It's lurking there somewhere probably.

Thank you. That is the international model. Assuming eSIM hasn't been disabled in CSC it should be available on all of that model no.
So far, MST is confirmed only on the Korean model. Strange.

The Realme 8 5G has a Dimensity 700 chip and the Relame 8 an Helio G95, they're completely different phones despite the name.
The regular Realme 8 technically allows for 3xCA, at least the SoC does, but there doesn't seem to be an implementation OS-side from Realme. Same for 4x4 MIMO.

Yes, I agree because the same chipset on other devices do support carrier aggregation.
The company however in its os has disabled it by default.
There must be some way to enable it

Question Model MZB08K ?!

I saw these popping up on many online shops...
No mention of those anywhere...
Any idea which chipset they have?
The onyx grey usually has code: "MZB08KGRY"

Qualcomm SM7150 Snapdragon 732G (8 nm)
Weird that that model is not mentioned anywhere except a few online shops.
Also, I have M2101K6G (6gb-128gb) I wonder if there are differences aside from the 8gb of ram vs 6gb.

Even weirder: no benchmark anywhere.. I wonder if the internal model is that or it's M2101K...
