I have a S10 with a snapdragon processor, and I was wondering if there was any way to change/spoof the MAC-ID on my device without root.

Thank you.

Loop device support already works, no need to do anything special.

Hey, ty for replying. I tried Loop device check app and it says my device doesn't support it. I'm on official 6.0 on an XT1095.
Is there another way to check if my device supports it?

I have used debian a while back, currently I have arch linux on it. It went very well, I use VNC and SSH to connect to it, everything works great, I installed mate as my DE.

I'm getting force close on the complete linux installer app. What app or steps are you using to mount the linux image on your phone?

I'm having trouble to get the ssh and vnc services up. Did you come up with this problem too? I've found others having the same problem but no solution. Theres a solution that says I should reconfigure ENV on Linux Deploy settings but it didn't work.. I'm trying to set up Arch by the way.

I have no problems with them. Do they not start? Is there an error message? Before you installed did you select vnc and ssh in components to be installed?

You could try, but you will brick the device. The locked bootloader will not load anything lower than 5.3.2.1, and we have no way of unlocking the bootloader. No root and a locked bootloader means no custom ROM or kernel.
That said, there is a way to install the Google Play Store even without root, on any firmware. Check out the supertool thread. Once you have the Play Store installed, you can use that to install all kinds of whatever apps you want.

Alternatively, one can sideload (free) apps obtained from reputable sources such as APKMirror. However, installing Play Store/Services offers additional functionality and convenience.

It's not physically possible, bootloader is locked.

No it's possible.... But very hard they had some bootloader locked phones rooted and with twrp ... But the last few have been no go...s9 still isn't rooted... You need to find a exploit that allows you to get su access and sadly most of the people that were doing such things now make money with the phone manufactures on the other side.. Keeping phones locked down

Why would you want to do that?
I tried doing that and I got stuck in a bootloop nightmare. The binaries didnt match.

As far as I know, I don't think it's possible bc the binaries dont match anymore. I tried to do that and it was a disaster.
I'm running DrKetans rom, its debloated. The battery life is similar to android 8.1 in my opinion.
But maybe someone else can chime in and give you different advice.

it's all on the boot loader version, you will not be able to downgrade to Oreo 8.1 but you should be able to downgrade to Android 9! But first you need to check your bootloader number and match that with downgrade firmware! it's the fifth number from right if your on bootloader 5 then you will not be able to downgrade as there is no Android 9 on fifth bootloader! But if your bootloader is 4 then you can downgrade with odin! See below as example!
2020-01-30 (Android 10) N960FXXS4DTA5 N960FOXM4DSLA
2019-12-11 (Android 9) N960FXXS4CSK2 N960FOXM4CSJ1

yes, you can use LightROM by yash92duster
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-9/development/teamexykings-lightrom-t3838087
i am currently using this rom with "non modded" settings and it works great.. i was getting random reboots in "modded" settings.. the option is selectable in aroma installer.
hope this answers your question, have a great day
