Your IMEI's are on the side of your retail box.
Fixing your phone is a different matter.

It has to be another solution.

AFAIK you would have to back up your EFS partition prior to any kind of alteration..
At least that's how things used to work..
Even the OnePlus 5 I had to do it. Just incase.
I did have the same issue happen to me on my old Sony z1 but after returning to a stock ROM, it put the IMEI back from 00000000000
If you didn't back up the partition then you may be screwed.
Unless there's a way to edit an already backed up EFS partition and then edit it to reflect yours then restore it.
PS: you can find yours on the box.

Then perhaps the process has changed.
But backing up isn't like copying a folder.
You wouldn't be able to just see the EFS folder like DCIM or Downloads.
You've very few options left, google is your friend at this point.
My experience with IMEI's going mental i've already posted mate, sorry.

I had this issue earlier today, instead of flashing system.img that way, do this instead:
fastboot flash -S 100M system system.img
This worked for me, may take a while as it splits it into several chunks which have a lot less chance of being corrupt.

I'm afraid that I don't have much experience with this particular phone, only had it a couple of days.
What I did to flash mine is the following but I'm not sure if this will solve your issue, make sure to do this in the following order.
fastboot oem nubia_unlock NUBIA_NX629J
Fastboot erase boot
Fastboot erase recovery
Fastboot erase system
Fastboot erase userdata
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot erase data
fastboot erase modem
fastboot erase dsp
fastboot erase vbmeta
fastboot erase dtbo
fastboot flash parameter parameter.img
fastboot reboot bootloader
fastboot oem nubia_unlock NUBIA_NX629J
fastboot flash splash splash.img
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img
fastboot flash dsp dspso.bin
Fastboot flash -S 100m system system.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
fastboot oem nubia_lock NUBIA_NX629J
fastboot reboot
For the files, I used the latest Chinese rom and system.img uploaded by a user to mega, I can link this if needed. Then using an otg cable I booted into recovery then wiped data and cache then flashed the latest eu rom.
Again I do not know if this will solve your issue as I didn't encounter it myself.

Moto XT1071 Bootloader Files needed

Hi,
My Moto G phone was running really slow for a month or so, so i wanted to upgrade my phone to custom firmware.
I unlocked bootloader from motorolas official website without no hassle.
I installed recovery, fine.
But when it came down to installing the rom, i got an error saying my bootloader version was below the required one. I tried to update it but couldn't find
the one for my model, stupidly, very very very stupidly i flashed one from a different version of a moto g 2014, don't ask me why, Im thick, i know.
So now all i have is a phone what hangs on the Motorola BootUnlocker warning screen and what boots into recovery with very very limited usable options.
I can still enter fastboot mode.
What are my options here, if maybe I could get the right bootloader files for my phone, could that fix the problem?
If so, does anyone know how to obtain them or maybe have them what they can upload.
Thanks.
Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated

You said that you are able to enter in fastboot mode.
So, go in fastboot mode (power button + vol -) and then you can flash your proper firmware.
Make sure you have installed the drivers and mfastboot works (this is motorola's fastboot command, so you need this for flashing the firmware).
On fastboot mode you must type these commands:
mfastboot flash partition gpt.bin
mfastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
mfastboot flash logo logo.bin
mfastboot flash boot boot.img
mfastboot flash recovery recovery.img
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0

mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4

mfastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot erase modemst1
mfastboot erase modemst2
mfastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
mfastboot erase cache
mfastboot erase userdata
Anyway on the first link that a posted you there's a good description and you can find also the drivers

Probably those command lines, are not good. Let me verify what's in the stock firmware.
Which is your right model and region?
Anyway, for mfastboot if type command: fastboot devices, and your phone is listed, this means that works properly.

No OS Can't Boot

So the other day I tried to go back to stock from resurrection remix using a stock 5.1 file I found on this website. I used to flash and all that kind of stuff a while ago but haven't in a while and lost my touch. So basically I know I did it wrong and now there is no OS on the phone. I can access both TWRP and Fastboot mode but that's it. When I try to boot it shows the bootloader unlock screen, vibrates and then goes to a black screen that flashes the little android guy with his stomach open every so often. I tried flashing both stock and RR twice and still nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
P.S. I have the Verizon XT1096 Variant.

So you have the Motorola USB drivers installed:
https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/88481
Recent versions of ADB/Fastboot.
Latest stock firmware:
firmware.center/firmware/Motorola/Moto%20X%20%282nd%20gen-2014%29/Stock/XT1096/
Probably VICTARA_VERIZON_XT1096_5.1_LPE23.32-25-5_cid2_CFC.xml.zip
Extract the firmware and put the 4 ADB/Fastboot files in the folder with the firmware files.
Boot into Bootloader Mode and connect the phone, make sure the phone says "connected..."
Shift + right-click inside that folder, Open command window here... Paste these commands, BUT CHECK THE NUMBER of sparsechunks your firmware has:
fastboot getvar max-sparse-size
fastboot oem fb_mode_set
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader

fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata

If you want to try custom roms again, I've been using TWRP 3.0.2-1 and it seems to have no issues so far (and I'm running the latest CM Nightlies).

If you mean Motorola's mfastboot, no you don't have to, I always use the lastest fastboot to flash stock firmware, custom recovery, etc.
Of course, it's always best to have an unlocked bootloader, but then you lose warranty.

I am on mac so hopefully that is not causing any issues, but I am having the same exact problem as the OP. But I was missing that first command so I am thinking that'll fix it. When in twrp whenever I tried to flash anything or wipe partitions it threw up all kinds of errors about the partitions not being mounted and stuff. Do you think missing that first command would mess up the partition table or something?
This is the errors i got when trying to wipe.

I have been out the android scene for over a year now so I am a little rusty lol.

The first two commands are not necessary, but they wouldn't cause any problems, nor fix any:
fastboot getvar max-sparse-size
fastboot oem fb_mode_set
But before you start flashing anything on a phone, you should have the latest stock firmware on it, so that you have the latest bootloader and partition table. Some versions of TWRP (3.0) may have been corrupting partitions. You should try reflashing the latest partition table and bootloader from the latest firmware, then reflashing the latest TWRP 3.0.2-1.

You should try reflashing the latest partition table and bootloader from the latest firmware, then reflashing the latest TWRP 3.0.2-1.

no it was never encrypted. I have redownloaded the latest firmware on the chance that my download was corrupted or something. Should I flash the partition and boot images then restart into the bootloader before flashing the rest?

I guess it's safest to just flash the whole firmware as I have listed in the commands; these commands are contained in an XML file that comes with the firmware (flashfile.xml), the "reboot bootloader" after the partition table and bootloader flash, comes from Motorola's flashing instructions.

Thanks, I am at work now but as soon as I get home I will give it a go. I have been on iOS for over a year now and my moto has been dead since about a month after moto allowed us to unlock the verizon variant. Stupid thing lol.
how do I check the amount of sparsechunks that I have. Sorry for the dumb question
---------- Post added at 02:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:44 PM ----------
I just finished doing this. I am kind of a noob at this so bear with me. I tried this and I get this message that says "Boot up failed" when I try normal powerup. I'm kind of scared..
ABSOLUTE LEGEND
i was stuck since almost 36 hours, good i dint lose hope and smash the x against the wall

Moto x stuck at bootloader warning screen and won't go anywhere else.

So I been up all night trying to figuring out to fix this, so make things short i'll tell you what's wrong. My moto x is stuck at the warning bootloader unlocked screen and the only thing i can go to is the bootloader. I was flashing cyanogenmod 13 and i made some dumb decisions while trying to fix things. I trying to go into recovery but every time it boot back to the warning screen. At this i'm clueless at what to do and i'm just trying get my phone back to working condition, any help is appreciated.

It's always a good idea to put your phone in bootloader mode and do:
fastboot getvar all
So you get all the specs of your phone, and copy the info into a Notepad file.
Did you try reflashing TWRP (twrp-3.0.2-1-victara.img)?
If that's not working, you may be able to reflash stock firmware.
https://firmware.center:8081/firmware/Motorola/
Something like this:
fastboot getvar max-sparse-size
fastboot oem fb_mode_set
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.5
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.6
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.7
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.8
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.9
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase customize
fastboot erase clogo
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
fastboot reboot
thank you!
I'm all the way up to Fastboot flash system system.img and it is saying Invalid sparse file format at header magi, I don't know if that telling me something wrong or continue.

Which XT variant do you have, on which carrier? Are you sure you got the right firmware for your phone model?

Verizon moto x 2014 5.1
Hey did u fixed it?

Moto X 2nd Gen XT1092 Bricked after OTA

Dear All,
Need your advice and help!!!
My cousin bro's Moto X just got bricked after OTA update to Marshmallow.
During the Android Update and error occurs and everything when blank (that's what he said)
Now when you boot the device it goes directly to AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S)
When you select Recovery from the list and error occurs and says "failed to validate system image" Boot Up Failed.
Device is locked, Status code: 0 (cant unlock Bootloader, Already try the Motorola site to get unlock key)
Software status: Official.
Fastboot works but cannot write system partition, recovery and boot getting error when trying to write using mfastboot.
ADB doesnt connect. "adb devices" show no connected devices.
RSD lite doesnt detect the phone
and Motorola Device manager say current version "23.16.3.victara_reteu_reteuall.en.eu"
What should i try next so that i can get back to factory or if we can get the bootloader to open then surely Custom Rom right now we are stuck at the fastboot/bootloader page.
Try https://firmware.center/firmware/Motorola/Moto%20X%20%282nd%20gen-2014%29/Stock/XT1092/VICTARA_RETEU_XT1092_6.0_MPE24.49-18_cid7_CFC.xml.zip using fastboot.
Follow the flashing steps in the .xml file that was included in the package.
A typical flashing sequence includes all these partitions, but might vary depending on your product - so please use the sequence in the .xml file in your package.
E.g:
fastboot getvar max-sparse-size
fastboot oem fb_mode_set oem
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.5
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.6
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.7
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.8
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.9
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase customize
fastboot erase clogo
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
fastboot reboot
It make your Moto to 6.0 stock rom.
Good luck.
K will give it a shot.

this is the one you need. its the latest image, it includes the may security patch and latest kernel / bootloader.
moto dosent like to downgrade, so, newest is always the safest
edit: its for europe, if that matters
I have download and tried line by line but these steps contain errors.

Do you mean that you get a blank screen when pressing power and vol down together?

Yaa exactly it shows blank and boots up automatically after few seconds to homescreen! So I'm in great trouble I can't even flash anything!
For me I still cant flash anything after the OTA Update...stuck at Flashmode page
You said that you "couldn't unlock the bootloader", but what do you mean exactly? I have a xt1092 as well and I didn't have problems with the Moto code.
Sorry if I only ask questions but I know nothing below bootloader level, for me it's always been a lifesaver, never a headache. So I'm only trying to gather information for someone more experienced than me.

Woops you're 100% right. Sorry man, I need to go to sleep.
You can find the na global rom v1.11 here: http://rom.download.nubia.com/Europe&Asia/NX629/NX629J_Z69_EN_WPJ0O_V111.zip
Should be able to unzip and flash the system img.
Could you explain to me step by step how to solve it? please
