Samsung Smart Call on AT&T phone? - Samsung Galaxy S10 Questions & Answers

Hey, question. Is it possible to install Samsung Smart Call on AT&T branded phone? I don't want to root my phone, but I'm on a prepaid plan which doesn't let me use their Call Protect app.

[Q] Unable online with Vision Razr2 phone

I have Moto Razr2 with Vision plan,OK to go online. But I couldn't go online with Galaxy Captivate or other smart phone.Anybody knows why???Thanks
You need a smartphone data plan
Thanks for reply, but I'd like to know why my SIM ok to go online with Razr2 but Captivate.Do the two phones ues different techno for online?
Thanks
Thats because of your data plan. As studacris said you need a smartphone plan to access internet on cappy
Be careful, when you insert a sim card from a non-smartphone to a smartphone. Your carrier can see this and might/most likely change/ or ask you to change your data plan to the smart phone one. You'll have to play dumb and say, " I don't have a smart phone."

[Q] Sim unlock S4 active (SGH-I537)?

Hello. I just bought a Galaxy S4 active (I537) for AT&T and would like to SIM unlock it. What is the best way to do this? I would be willing to root and unlock that way, or could unlock using one of the internet services, but what would be the best internet service to use? I cannot just call AT&T to unlock it. I am somewhat familiar with rooting, so if there is a way to do it that way that would work.
Thanks!

[Q] unrooted at&t note 3 tethring -unlocked phone

Hello all
I have an unrooted at&t note 3 unlocked by att
I am on the unlimited data plan and I can not tether. I tried searching google for a way to have tethering work without rooting but I was not successful in my search.
My quedtions to the experts are
1- can I get tethering to work with my att galaxy note 3 without rooting? How?
2- what are the 3rd party apps that you trust that would give me tethering for free?
3- if the only way to tether is rooting then what is the best and safiest way to do it? I am new to this and never rooted. So I would like to know the ups and downs if I did this and if its reversable and if I would continue to receive updates to the phone and the apps in it. I am asking becuase with iphone when you jailbreak you cant update anymore.
4- what is the diffrence between sim lock and regional lock? I ask becuase my phone was unlocked by att to be able to use it with other sim carriers when I was in the middle east. So is my phone sim unlocked or regionally unlocked and how to know?
Thank you so much and I am so sorry if these quedtions were answered before. But I really tried to search before I asked and with my limitd knowladge about this I did not know how.
Thank you again and looking forward to your answers.

Just unlocked S6 Active and switched to T-Mobile, few questions

I just cancelled my AT&T contract and am now on a T-Mobile family plan, successfully unlocked my phone and have a few questions.
1) Is there any way to remove the AT&T default apps or can I only disable them? Also wondering if I can change the boot screen from AT&T to T-Mobile?
2) Will updates still work if I'm on T-Mobile now? Are there ways to optimize the phone for the new network or does it not matter?
3) I'm on the latest software version from AT&T, is root possible?

1) There is no way to remove them without root. However, it is possible to disable them with Package Disabler, just Google it for the apk's.
2) Updates will no longer work without an AT&T simcard. But there is a S6 Active forum (https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...e/downloading-flashing-att-galaxy-s6-t3260744) which explains how to update without an AT&T simcard.
3) A root is not possible at the moment, only when you're on 5.0.2 or 5.1.1.
Package disabler no longer disables AT&T apps. If you have it installed, and it still has this functionality, don't update it.
the app "BK Package Disabler" works just fine. I've got something like 120 things disabled, mostly AT&T and Samsung. Better battery life.
