I love solving weird problems like this one... When you mean "Doesn't work" can you be specific - for instance, what doesn't work? Are there error messages? (The more details you give the better.) Doesn't recognize the SD card? Can't make calls? Won't boot up? ....

The phone is locked to that SIM. Go back to that carrier to get it unlocked. Screwing around with a bunch of ROMs have made the problem worse as you are running some software (not the whole OS, but just some invalid hacked portions - and you cannot obtain the correct tools or knowledge to determine same) that are not designed with the asynchronous thread pool that was also most likely not tested with the hardware thread queue for the nomericatol parallel sink upon which it is tracking. You may be able to find a solution by sideloading the digital key for the underload-able ecc memory checking software available to action platingsol. Then you should recheck the battery's lifetime recharging fortalo deviation.
Sorry to be long-winded but you have to be thorough - to ensure the hidden assimilator port is not blocked. If it is, then it should be cleared with SLW 98.4 according to your region. The region-specific clearing might not work immediately if the formula's index of refraction blocks the surface tension inhibitor.
Please let's stay in touch because I want to see if the hitolner method described above is able to open the clogged port - if it is still not working properly there are 4 other methods that might be able to work.

Hey, I think he told you the reason for not agreeing with you. The problem as seen by you is that of a career locked phone which as per him and I would say I agree with him on that, if it was sim locked then the the new sim wouldn't work at all but it works without the sd card and doesn't work with SD present and that is clearly not a network lock which makes following the procedure you suggested unnecessary because they are steps to solve a problem that is not relevant to the issue.
The guys says he's not comfortable with english which means the conversation needs to be simplified.
I can very honesty say that what you wrote as the problem he seems to be facing and the solution seem totally alien to me as I don't get what you are talking about after you said "flashing different rooms thus running different mods not a complete rom" it goes right over my head, how can a newbie whose primary language is not English understand it? Would appreciate I'd you could tell us in plain english, instead of the jargon.
Thanks.

Microsim... if you have a regular sim then you can just cut it down with scissors, or any independent mobile phone repair place will probably do it for you for cheap.
Or i can ask my provider to change it for free. (yeah my provider do this for free )

[Q] Galaxy tab damages SIM card!!!
I used my tablet (Galaxy tab 10.1 P7500) with wifi only for almost 1 year. Recently I bought a SIM card (regular, not mini SIM) for using 3G with my tablet. It worked for about 10 days and then stopped working. Surprisingly, when I took the SIM out and tried to use with a phone, the SIM failed to register with the network! My operator told me that the SIM has been probably damaged and replaced it with another. In another 10 days I am facing the same problem again! I wish to make these clear: - I inserted the SIM properly into the tablet as per the instructions. I had not removed it thereafter. So, there is no probability of damage. - In both the instances, the SIM looked perfectly all right. Not even a scratch! - My operator swears that the problem is with the tablet and it does something to the SIM and makes it non-functional. My questions: 1) What is the possible reason behind this? 2) Can the tablet work with a regular SIM? 3) Can the tablet damage a regular SIM with 10 days of use? 4) Should I use a micro SIM? 5) Will the problem recur with a micro SIM? Any help will be highly appreciated! Thanks!

can the sim card damage phone?
This is weird... i got 2 weeks ago a new galaxy s2 att and used fine for a week with a standard straight talk sim card that i cut myself to fit the micro sim port... it worked fine for a week calls, internet message, media message, everything. i was charging the phone on the wall one day and when i get it to make a phone call i noticed not sim card inserted error... i cleaned contact reinserted nothing....i put in my wife phone sim card is perfect. i sent my galaxy out for repair at the same time i got this great deal on craiglist an atrix hd for $100... I inserted the same sim card and everything was fine untill yesterday....i got sim card not inserted error...ohmygod i said please dont tell me.... reset phone cleaned contacts nothing ...... My question is can a sim card damage the phone? Both phone were rooted Both phones were att provider using straight talk service Both phones were 4g I removed from both phones the att junk Any of this they may have somehow locked the sim card port or damaged it? It can not be a coincidence any expert can get a good answer? I'm going crazy
I had the same problem back when I had my One X and my brother had the same problem with his Atrix HD because we cut down our SIM Cards. After I got an official Micro SIM the problem stopped. When you cut your own Micro SIM you stand the chance of trimming off too much. Even if its only a small amount it can still cause the SIM to move around which causes the connection loss. The common thing is the sim . I have no idea why you would send your phone for repair when the other sim worked perfectly . If sim port was damaged , it wouldn't have worked with any sim . Get a new sim , report the old one as lost . Ask for micro sim as the replacement or cut it with a micro sim cutter ( Available at most service providers cust service centers or buy one from ebay , they are cheap ) . ---------- Post added at 06:37 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:32 AM ---------- RCon227 said: I had the same problem back when I had my One X and my brother had the same problem with his Atrix HD because we cut down our SIM Cards. Even if you go to some customer service center (atleast here ) , they do the same cutting with a micro sim cutter . I find the whole filling the application with giving my ID proof again and then getting the active connection in another 24hrs on the replaced micro sim very tedious .
I use microsim cutter which I bought only about 5$. It works perfectly. I can even use the cutting side to cover the microsim as mini sim again.
thanx friends, your answers gimme some hope that in fact is the sim card that does not make good contact. still cant explain why when i insert other sim card inactive the phones wont read them at all...(.like this is another provider enter unlock code) just i wish somebody of the experts here can assure me that the sim card can not damage the fone or lock it. (of course i'm not talking physical damage at the pin point) thanx
[Q] HTC J One from China
Hello all, I am new to this site and I have an issue with my new HTC J One phone i ordered. T moblie and the android did a system update which made my original Samsung galaxy incompatible and unusable. I just got the new HTC J one from china and i cannot figure out how to insert my t moblie Sim card so that i can connect to the network... Also it is not accepting my SD card. Should i just buy a new SD that will work and can anyone help me through the Sim Card problem? I need a functional phone for work so this has been a very frustrating issue for me. Thanks and hope to hear from someone soon, Zenotha
Oh Dear Oh dear The HTC One has an INTERNAL sd card you can't insert your own The sim card works just like on an Iphone/Ipad you need ti use the clip it came with to open the sim carries - insert the sim into the carrier - then close it PHONE OFF of course
Well, first of all, the J One is only sold in Japan and should only work on a specific carrier there - KDDI au. I don't know how you got one from China, double check to make sure it isn't a fake. Second, T-Mobile doesn't use standard international frequencies for 3G and 4G so you'd be stuck with a phone that can only work on 2G, unless you want to switch to AT&T. Third, if it's not accepting your SIM that means the phone is locked, so unless you're willing to learn Japanese, travel to Japan, subscribe to KDDI au and call them for an unlock code, you just bought an expensive brick. Does the new Note 9 work on DUAL SIMS + SD card simultaneously
Hello, I tried the new Note9 with Dual sims + Sd card simultaneously, both sims register and i can see the sd card registering in the notification section, but i get a popup which says Some problem with the sim tray please remove try and reinsert. I cant seem to bypass this. can anyone help ?
You cannot use a combination of two Sims and an SD card. You can use a single sim and an SD card or two sims and no SD card. A bit of a stupid design but this is how I have known it since the note 8.
Unfortunately this dual sim set up is not available in US (at least when i pre-ordered mine). Would you know if it support CDMA? For my history use, if I get the 512gb then I dont have to have a SD card. 512gb is enough (too much). Thanks in advance!

I used a $10 SIM extender, which fit right next to the SD Card in the 2nd slot. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BFXZCCN/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Perhaps there'll be a work-around in the future, but,it's likely gonna be a solution that requires your device to be rooted.
I'm shifting from S7Edge to Note9, really wish there was a work around for this. Anyways for now I'm in 128gb and at the moment I have enough memory. Thanks guys.
It doesn't work for me too.. I was using my sim+sdcard combo on my axon 7 but when I put it in my note 9, it says check sim tray. Hope this gets a workaround.

It just happened to me as well. I was using both of the sims and SD card with sim extender till my Note 8 and it was working fine but in Note 9 the annoying popup is not going anywhere. Any fix will be helpful to by pass this.
I have the same problem! Hi friends. I live in Iran & here just note 8 is in the market in its 64gb model. I used 2 sims & sd card simultaneously until it told me there is an update. I did the update, it became Android 9, & brgan giving me the prompt that something's wrong with the tray. I did whatever that I thought might help, but it didn't help. Later ai heard that Android 9 doesn't allow simultaneous 2 sims & an sd card! I hope Samsung changes this. Their phones are becoming worse every day. Glass back which breaks & gets fingerprint marks, low capacity, and every time they ban something on their users! I wish I wasn't in love with Samsung!
Unfortunately Samsung has prevent dual Sim device owners from being able to use both SIMs and a microSDCard at the same time for some strange reason.
Samsung Note 9 in India comes with Dual Sim Dual Standby version & can use 2 - 4G VoLTE SIM cards simultaneously. I have an Unlocked Samsung Note 9 from SPRINT , USA. This has a Single SIM Slot with a memory card expansion bay. The Exact Model No of the Sprint , USA's Samsung Note 9 is SM-N960U1. What i want to know is that does this version have e-sim capability ? Does it has a second e-sim modeul & 2nd IMEI built in ? Anyway to find out , maybe via an app or anything ? Else, i can stuck with a single sim Note 9 if it does not. Can anyone help on this... i cant seem to find any details on this specific model.
