Do you have a link where someone has it installed on their watch?
The update for the Wifi devices has not been released yet. Only non Wifi devices got the 5.1.1 update and the Urbane came shipped with it.
EDIT: Looks like the Sony Smartwatch 3 just rolled out.
Edit:2 Looks like today we got the Gear Live.
My apologies it turns out the link is bogus.

After resetting my Gear live several times; it finally starting downloading the update.
Reset then pair and check for update. Checking for update manually doesn't appear to work otherwise.
Edit: I'm on 5.1.1 and wifi works great at home. I'll have to see how well it fares on Optimum/Xfinity wifi later.
After a brief investigation I have determined (unsurprisingly) that Optimum/Xfinity wifi is out. And after additional consideration that's probably a good thing.
Also using a local wifi hotspot between the watch and the paired phone will not work. (To clarify connecting your watch to a hotspot on the same phone that normally host Android Wear will not work.)
You can however use another phones wifi hotspot to pair both the phone and watch.

I mean, its pretty obvious nothing is coming out this week, but maybe someone has heard about another release date?
Maybe it depends on how the Urbane sales are going. If they are slow we might have to wait even longer for the update so they can carry on pushing it as the only LG watch with WiFi!!!!!

That is true, however they explained this in May so that people won't get confused:
“LG Watch Urbane is the only wearable device Currently shipping with the latest version of Android Wear OS and is Wi-Fi capable out of the box. The original LG G Watch was not designed with Wi-Fi in mind and will not have this capability even after the Android Wear update. LG G Watch R will require a maintenance release after the patch update to Android Wear-access Wi-Fi networks. LG engineers are preparing the patch now for availability in the third quarter.”

I'm gonna wait myself. I don't rush updates anymore. I have found the old adage "be careful what you ask for" to be spot on with it comes to Android updates over the past year or so.

Just got my OTA notification. Installing now. Yay!
Just got an OTA - I was surprised to find a WiFi section in the settings menu. Should be working fine, I haven't tested it yet. Build number is LCA44B.
Still nothing in northern California.
Already got 2 hours ago and found this new feature.

I personally never had any lagging with the gestures, so maybe the store had a bad unit or still running on a lower firmware?
And I think it's a must buy especially if you have a cashback option also!! real good value for money!

Exactly the same thing on exactly the same model and region. Bought a bit more than 2 weeks ago.
Even if it's region related, we shouldn't expect to get it all at the same time. I suppose it might take at least a week or 2 for clients in the same country/region to get the OTA.

The update policy is a bit shady. Only thing we can do is wait and in the meantime enjoying our smartphone
You can post what you feel about the update here .
For me
1) qr code in camera app is way faster
2) camera doesnt heat up the phone now
3) gaming also runs cooler
4) animations are better
5) expect an sot of 1h more than you got with april update.
Looking for more changes ..
Tell me in comment .
I think samsung is doing a great job ,
I was about to trade off my s21 ultra with mi 11 ultra , but this update has stopped me doing so.
I can't wait until my phone recieve the update.
This is so promising that samsung still fixing and adding new features every month.
I would say a 10% better everything even though it might be a placebo. All running smooth. Used the camera a lot today for pics and videos. Youtube, browsing and etc, and now 3:33 SOT and battery at 46%. I guess that may be a tad better than before. Camera seems better too somehow.

I think they are moving towards apple kind of ecosystem and software.
And if they can do that , i am not leaving samsung for as long as they maintain that .
They still need to work on animations , accidental touches, and 60-120 hz management in some apps

First full day with May's update. I did a clean install via Odin since it was the second update in a row of over 1GB.
Everything is running smoothly. Battery I think is maybe 5-10% better but have to give it a few days. Can't comment on the camera yet. Usage is on WiFi, 120Hz, FHD+.

wise advice. I only use one time to install PHE before change CSC, then always wait for OTA
OKay, will wait it out then. Last month I received the update on April 9th; so this time I presume it will be similarly timed.
I'm able to achieve 10hours Sot (48 hours cycle) on this release, prior to that the sot was in the 8/9 hours. I mostly use browser, youtube, youtube music and ocasional gaming (Wild Rift)
On Vodafone model in UK so I expect it will be a couple of weeks before I get this but it sounds like it makes what is already one of the best phones money can buy even better.

If you can see the new cpu performance setting on device care (with the option: maximum, instead of just: balanced and high), so you officially got the features of OneUI 3.1.1 (like international users).

^ wow! that's the most morose take i've ever seen for a fw update
Doesn't seem to have the cpu performance setting, it still just shows adapative and enhanced processing options only....

Heh that was a drunken joke about people being paranoid about updates.
I actually never update Windows after the initial install because it ****s with my finely tuned settings, always ends up costing me latency, but it's mostly the opposite on Android.

I'm curious about those 3 power options affecting the overall performance of the CPU, could someone run Geekbench5 on all 3? I'd give it some time space in between to cool the phone down for each test. Thanks in advance.
