I finally got my K20PRO a couple days ago and for now im stuck on China rpm 10.3.16.
Ive installed google services and its all working except for the backup. The "backupnow" button is always grey except for when i remove lockscreen passwords and even then the backup fails.
I tried adb commands and backupnow --all gives me transport error always.
If inchange to internal backup it works with adb.
Anyone know how to fix this so i can make a backup before unlocking and flashing a rom?

Hi everyone,
I've owned a HTC One since 3 months now, and I started trying to customize it a little. So, I followed the different guides I found on this site, and successfully managed to unlock my bootloader, install TWRP and finally flash a custom rom.
I flashed the Android Revolution HD v12.1 , and everything worked fine. Then, I made a backup with Titanium Backup Pro, no problem again. So I decided to push a little further by installing the CM 10.1 nightly version for the One; indeed, that's a nightly, for sure. I then got back to my previous custom rom and used my TB's backup to restore my datas.
I did not notice the problem immediately, but it was obviously present from the beginning : it appears that I'm not receiving anymore any notifications coming from any app I installed from the Store. I tried to uninstall then install the apps again, did not work. I looked a little bit in TB's option and I found one called "Manage Android ID", TB told me my One had a different Android ID from the previous one; I tried to restore the previous one, but still, I don't receive any notification from my apps !
I have no problem with message, call, missed call... notifications.
So, how can I fix this quite annoying problem ?
Thanks a lot.
A little bump, I need you guys!
try formatting your phone and installing an app, then check for notifications.
Ideally before changing from ARHD to CM, you should format the phone. Also titanium backup tends to have issues when you restore across different implementations.
Currently, I have ARHD. I just tried CM but TB tends to bug the entire system while restoring, anyway that's not the problem.
Of course, even though I didn't mention it, I made a FULL Wipe with TWRP each time I installed a new ROM.
I think -obviously I'd say- that the problem is caused by TB, but I'd like to know if there is any possibility to fix it without wiping the phone and installing ARHD, without using TB; Doing it this way would solve the problem I guess, but if I could avoid to lose quite a lot of data, I'd be glad !
Thanks for trying to help me.
Ok so I started dabbling in rooting my HTC one got the boot unlocked and everything and was working on installing CMod. With CMod you require the Googleapps.zip too but I foolishly put Googleapps.zip on top of the load list and the Rom didn't install but the Googleapps did. So when I loaded up my phone after none of my google services are working now and it keeps giving me error messages.
Obviously this is my own fault for not doing a backup also before I tried this but is there any way at all I can fix this?
Any suggestions are welcome.
Have you tried to flash the gapps now?
So I just got a Nexus 6 on Verizon and I'm trying to root it. I downloaded NRT and am trying to perform a backup of my apps+data so I don't have to redownload them. Anyway I follow the steps that NRT goes through and get to the "Full Backup" screen on the phone and I can't tap the "Backup My Data" button. It doesn't register the tap; all I can do is hit cancel. I also tried this on 2 different computers, rebooted the phone multiple times, and by running the ADB commands manually; nothing works. I've done this before with my Nexus 4 and never had any issues; is there something I'm missing? Thanks in advance.

unlock your bootloader, then flash twrp recovery, then make a full backup. but, unlocking the bootloader will wipe your phone. but that's OK, because if you selected to have google back up your apps and system data, it will restore everything, but non play store apps.

Hey, have you done that successfully? I did backup, but only 400MB backed up compares to my phone has 40GB files and 10GB app data.
I also tried
Code:
adb backup com.tencent.mm
But just got a 0KB file.
My phone is:
Code:
Nexus 6
Android 6.0.1
Not rooted
locked bootloader
Any advise?

Unlock bootloader
Flash twrp
Do a proper backup..
No root needed, just a recovery. And take it from me twrp has saved my a$$ many of times that factory recovery could have never handled.
Good luck
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA Free mobile app
works for me, user apps/data are restored, but did not fix broken system app

my disappointment increased. i dont recommend this way of creating backups. you will never now which user or system apps are included and which are missing.
I guess everybody is looking for a way to simply backup ALL, user and system apps, plus their data. This function is not reliable. Some apps work others dont.
Hello all
I was wondering if anyone has tried doing a restore with helium backup on n yet
Anytime I try, I see that the restore gets to 100% but then just sticks. It doesn't error or say that it is done but stays at 100%. If I cancel or reboot the application and even just the data doesn't seem to be available. I have tried restoring a few different apps that were backed up that all restored find in mm and none seem to work. Any advice on how to get restores to go through would be greatly appreciated.
Backup+ seemed to work unfortunately you have to pay for sms, wifi, calls and system app backups
I'll have to give that a try then. First need to figure out root for it.
What's everyone using for full backup and restore ?
Quite regularly I've been flashing fastboot between chinese , global ,Eu stable ,Eu weekly and developer preview android 12 and usually Its a pain in the ass to reinstall the apps
(Mi backup solution from cloud and PC isn't good enough and loads of apps just won't work without being reinstalled fresh which is time consuming and boring)
Is there anything like a Nandroid backup possible that's works reliably ?
I haven't flashed roms regularly in several years, back in the day we used to use clockwork mod and TWRP but these are not available yet...

I'm using swift backup.
Using Swift Backup too. Works for 80-90% of the Apps in average. Just some banking apps need fresh install.
And again Swift Backup... I used Titanium Backup much in the past, but for some reason it became pretty unreliable when restoring so I switched...

Yeah same here. TB is outdated, but was very good in the past!
Migrate worked great on the MI9.
Didn't test on the Ultra because already have global version m
I switch between super backup and swift. both work really well for me, but with Super Backup, you don't need to sign in with the Goolag
I see everybody talking about swift backup.... Bit can you do everything with the free version. I mean all apps, launcher and logins are saved and works 100% with restoring ? I tried it once and I thought it wasn't working without paying for the app
