Could you explain how you did that? I have an unlocked Sprint V40 that I'm trying to use on Verizon. I downloaded the Verizon KDZ but was unable to flash it with LGUP 1.14.

Ohhh I didn't realize my V40 bootloader has to be unlocked before I can flash anything with LG UP. I think that's what was tripping me up.

i need to know if i can flash a Verizon firmware on a moto x without unlocking the bootloader

Yes. Signed firmware will flash but it must be the firmware designed for your phone

what do u mean with firmware designed for ur phone?
it can't be custom if has to be the stock OTA firmware packages so either 4.2.2 camera update or 4.4 for your Verizon phone

Ok im not sure why you would want to do that.
your phone is only unlocked for GSM carrier's
Sprint/Verizon are CDMA carriers so you will never be able to take your unlocked moto X over to them.
so i guess the question i need to ask is why are you wanted to flash the verizon firmware on your T-Mobile Moto X

because Verizon have italian language on system.T mobile doesn t have.
i used Verizon with my first moto x and i flashed over T mobile firmware but i dont remember if i unlocked the bootloader or not
it is a signed firmware so you should be able to flash it without unlocking the bootloader.
i did some research and weird that only verizon offers all the Languages. have you tried flashing a rom like the one below it is made for verizon and all gsm it might have everything you need

Is it possible to flash Sprint Lgg4 to verizon? If so how would I go about doing it? Would LG flashtool be my best option?
99.9999% sure you cannot do this. And very possible you will brick your device.

Can it work on the AT&T version of the lg v40?
I just got my V40 today (Sprint model) and it is still on 8.1
Is there a way to flash Pie from another carrier without unlocking the bootloader?
I was able to do this with lgup on the V35 but don't see a way using that method on the v40

Will it still be unlocked after flashing with Pie? and How much for flashing?
Hey all! I'm wondering if there's a straightforward guide to unlock, flash TWRP and root (magisk) on the European LG V40. The fora I read are mostly about the US model, and I read many issues with partitions and the enforcing thing. What does the enforcing mean exactly?
I just want to have magisk with root on stock rom. I guess I won't be able to have OTA updates when done that, right?
So if you have an European LG V40 could you maybe help me to successfully root the V40? If so, I'm gonna buy one (wanted to be sure first).
Thanks!
That I'm aware of the EBW V40 from Europe is the only one with official unlock support from LG...

Simply use fastboot to flash TWRP .-. since you have access to Fastboot out of box...also SGC Marcus has the EBW European variant as well

Then it sounds like either 1) how you're trying to go to fastboot is wrong, or 2) you don't actually have the same version...
