Google camera HDR+

Can the Google camera HDR+ be ported to Motog5s+?
The inbuilt camera sucks.

Idk so far but I'm using Google camera v4.2.035 using AEX ROM with beans gapps cause that's the only gapps I found which makes Google camera works out better on Moto G5S+ besides it doesn't have HDR nor HDR+ mode in Google camera but still normal quality is better than that of stock but this ROM lags in camera stability so I wonder if they really gonna update ROM with camera stability and some bug fix

Thanks for share this version. HDR+ works well and camera quality is surprisingly better! I've tested for 5 minutes in low light interior shots before share this opinion. Tomorrow daylight test!

Pleasure. Yeah camera quality has dramatically improved. I dont even feel the need of flash in low lights as it holds the details pretty well.

Isn't it possible to port GC 4.4 version, as it has already been done for Redmi devices with the same processor?

I tried to install porting for redmi devices with SD 4xx or 6xx. It said "this app is incompatible with your phone".

I'm using the same version here and i have hdr+
the app is quite buggy, i have to focus and lock AE AF before shooting.
cant take the photo if i dont do this. (only in HDR+ mode)

Only if ur using Google camera which is in beans gapps 7.1.x version I have problem with stock camera on stock rom as like I'm using some DSLR lol while taking pic I have to stay still or pic get blurry AF while on Google camera 4.2 or something with 32bit architecture it only got normal mode with slow motion and panorama at Max but still normal pics r better than stock and manual exposer doesn't work
Over all impression if ur rooting or gonna use AEX only for camera than don't flash it AEX got so many bugs too specially for XT1804 network issue is big one

Google camera Mods 80 sets in one place try one with arm-arm64 which is the only one to work for 32bit all other won't work most likely and
Specifically saying imo try arm-arm64 with RAW support it works like charm high noise reduction but HDR+ takes pics on blue side of RGB color but still it's way better

Those ports are only supports arm64 bit architecture and sadly Moto g5s+ got arm32 Bit
Well check one of my last comments it got androidfilehost link with 80 GC mods but there r only few like 4 or 6 mods that r available for 32bit and works nice than stock camera

I thinks u can enable it using fastboot method and ADB tools on PC idk the process for it but all u will need is zip file that u wanna flash , ADB enabled on mobile , ADB tools mini installed in PC, Google for how to

In this thread, a few post ago.

Using the manual camera compatibility tool I've got the camera 2 API activated yet. So the redmi port of GC camera doesn't work because is 32 bit system.

Check if you have Camera 2 API enabled, some custom ROMs don't have this option on by default.

Yes camera 2API is enabled on my phone. Every Gcam port works on my device expect for cstark's Gcam port. His port crashes every time i open the app.

I'm using Pixel experience, maybe it's has something different from others roms.

I am using cstark PX 4.0.1. Everything is working fine except portrait for rear camera. Any solution ??

Yes. I am using but as i said earlier portrait is not working for rear camera

50x zoom is useless, photo's taken at 50x zoom will be useless

Can anyone test if this gcam works well on x2 pro

I am about to purchase this phone, but counting on the use of GCAM because the native of these Chinese does not always do a good job, today I saw that the parrot has released an AWB support version for samsung sensors present on this phone. Only if works great on the phone, photo, night sight and portrait in rear and selfie cameras haha. In AWB mode have the option for this samsung main sensor, GW1 if i remember.

Can you post some samples against the native? Configs it's activate hdr+ and use 32 frames in advanced settings and setting the pixel awb mod to Samgun GW1

For a first test, everything is working except the slow motion. It forces closing.

Can't install it (global rom)
Edit : work after uninstall gcam 6.1...
- can't select more than 26 frames HDR+ enhanced (with more, no photo)
- can't use "sabre" (crash)
- you can select awb Samsung but I can't see better quality with it.
Finally, I prefer 6.1 gcam at this time

Can you show some samples of this two version of gcam and the native, it's good to our see the results and compare.

Gcam has hdr enhanced
Stock is aldo hdr

I find the gcam to produce much more accurate colours to what i see in real life. And has better depth. Whereas the stock tries to smooth out everything

The problem with Gcam is that currently it works only for the main camera and the front one...

You already try the urnyx version ? if works you can use telephoto and ultra wide.

This gcam is not very good for x2 pro. The photos are very bland and all color, saturation and others options do nothing when you change it.

Seeing as folk will eventually ask about this, I have done a few tests and found 1.3 working fine from here LINKY for your GCam enjoyment.
This isn't my work, I'm just linking to it. There are a number of modders that have worked on it.

So, I downloaded the 1.3a and after taking the photo in HDR+ it got stucked at 70% of the "Processing HDR+" Could you help me?

Yes! it works pretty much everything. In fact all of the Parrot043 works almost perfect. This one is the best one for my Moto G8 Power:

I tried this one, stopped using it when I discovered a crashing issue when turning on stabilization in video mode.

This one works very well, haven't noticed any glitches that'd prevent me from using it. The live view frame rate in the photo mode can be low at times, that's my only complaint. Night sight works, photos, hdr+, video, and video stabilization. Astro more looks to be working, but haven't had any clear skies to experiment with.

For me Gcam 7.0 by Parro043 works excellent and the photo viewfinder is in normal speed. I am not sure why is better choose the 7.3 over any other 7.0 or 7.1 or 7.2.

No with PMGC_7.0.009_HDR_Version_V13.apk but yes with 7.3 from Parrot.

found some gcam mods with this function, but they are crashing when you try to change the lens

I tried a few version of the gcamera on my moto g8 power. They certainly offer way more detail than the stock app.
However, how do you change lenses? There is no way to switch to wide or telephoto. Long pressing camera or gallery does nothing.

Can anyone confirm that it's working with the different lenses, and if so what version are you running? Without access to the multiple lenses, the app is severely limited.

Just a couple of other Gcam mods that work nicely with the Moto G Power. Hyper Cam https://www.gcambrasil.com.br/hypercam and PixelCam Plus https://pixelcambrasil.com.br/en/ Both seem to work nice and fast on lower series Snapdragon 6xx phones. I cant say if Astrophotography works but did try night sight and that did. There is no Top Shot available. So I keep the Parrot one on my phone too.

I will test it on my new Moto G8 Power coming to me ) I hope USD 179.99 is good deal, for factory unlocked international version.

Updated his version:
- Version without blacklist (for 8k and super resolution tests)
- 8K for devices with a 48MP sensor and a recent SOC or more 12GB of ram memory
- HDR10 video only for recent devices
- Super resolution in raw for oneplus device (7 and 8 series for moment)
- Super resolution in jpeg for all devices, similar to stock camera ( works on portrait on many devices )
- Attention changes have been made risk of bug with the xmls of the previous version.
So you have 50/48MP JPEG ONLY on Portrait Mode, things need to be fixed and probably RAW might need Root and Magisk. Thats why it was important to {Mod edit}

I remember when we donated for a mi9 for cosmin in the past to get custom rom it was allowed. Weird xda...

this could be a gamechanger for the Mi 11 Ultra.

there's a fund raising going on for him to get the phone to work on it.
but it was removed from here cause xda-developers is now xda-kangers friendly.

I tested the latest Gcam Version Snap_Gcam_6.1Beta.210708.1750build-8.1.101 on my Mi 11 Ultra. It works great, Congratulations Arnova!!
When you open the app it shows 3 buttons 0,6x 1x 5.2x. The 0.6x and 1x lens works perfectly. Only the Tele lens 5.2x generate only a 640x480 picture. So obviously the 5x Tele lens is not activaed yet. Is it possible to fix this?
