Sorry if this is in the wrong place I'm posting from my phone while on break at work, but I'm looking at upgrading my head unit and want to go with an android.
So far the ones I've seen were the Atoto A6 Pro, pumpkin and joying. My biggest questions are what are some of the major differences between the 3 or what are some others I should take a look at. Any information or just guidance is greatly appreciated. Don't want to just throw money at a head unit and hate it in a month

This is my first thread, so please be gentle. For some this may seem trivial and petty but any advice would be appreciated!
Basically I got my Diamond (MDA IV) today and its got a nasty scratch and chip on the back. T-Mobile have been a bit useless and have basically told me to send it back and reorder it...with a likely dispatch date at the end of August. And I did ask for some money back so I could buy a replacement back myself (T-Mobile's is light and a bit naff nothing like the original Diamond pics)
My question; should I live with the scratch, keep pushing for some credit, leave T-mobile, or any fresh ideas from the forum.
Cheers Guys
P.S: there is no MSN, Co-Pilot is only a demo, and it has 192mb RAM
I would suggest - Accept the credit.. Live with the scratch.. doesn't matter. In a week or so, you will probably put up more chips and scratches that you would want to count.
Happens with all the phones. Chill mate.
If its the back cover then you can buy a new one. If it is the cover then you could splash out and buy the extended battery and cover:

that is a much sweeter looking back then I have! Wonder if it'll fir the MDA though...and I'm not entirely sure T-Mobile will be happy giving me 40pounds to spend on a cover...here's hoping though
Currently, i have a $600 pile of garbage because I can't get a $20 part. I am hoping that someone one here might be able to help me out.
The piece I am looking for, i believe is referred to as the "Vibrator with Frame". The link below, is the only place I can find the piece, but after numerous emails, I get no response, not sure it's because I only speak english, or they only advertise it, but don't actually have the part
http://www.lunacommerce.com/269-google-nexus-one-vibrator-with-frame.html
There is a piece of electrical tape attached to this part, but underneath it lies the antena for GSM reception (wish I knew this beforehand), an orange colour.
So, does anyone on here have any idea how I could get this piece? Does anyone have a bricked nexus one wanting to sell any parts? PLEASE, ANYONE????????
I have contacted HTC, (unbelievably), they claim there is no parts department, so I can't get this part from them, unless I send in the phone (which I am not willing to do). I was thinking there must be some third party repair centers that might be able to get this as well, but they couldn't tell me of any.
Also, I don't need this thread to be full of comments suggesting I shouldn't had taken this apart to begin with, I realize my mistake. I am an electronics technologist by trade, I have taken apart many devices in my time, just had some unfortunate luck this time around.
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
Not to be unhelpful here, but when I read the title of this thread I thought you were looking for something toooooootally different.

Well, first off I just realized I should have posted this thread in Q&A section, sorry Moderators.
Trust me, I realize that (in reply to quoted comment), if you think about it though, my subject is the literal part I am looking for, what I need (the antenna), is attached to this part.
I never thought originally that this was the part I was looking for either, but this is the only way to explain it.
ive seen 3 sites for nexus one parts somewhere either in the Q and A or the accessories forums.
Found the part, problem solved!
Well, thanks to a pm I received, I was able to order this part through ebay. Had to spend a little more than I wanted, but at least now I can put this back together and have a working phone to sell.
To respond to the post above, yes there are many sites with "parts for Nexus One" phones, I have been to many, many sites. I wouldn't have posted such a detailed question to begin with if it was that easy. All of these "parts" sites, offer aftermarket accessories, not internal components, well besides the touchscreen and digitizer.
Anyways, problem solved (hopefully, not sure until it is installed I guess!)
Hello xda members! The touchscreen from my XPERIA X1 won't respond to my touches anymore since I let it fall on the ground by accident >_<
And I don't have any receipt so that I can bring it back to the store because I didn't buy it (I found it on a parking lot when me, my dad, my mother and my sister entered the car after we ate at a pizzeria). So no receipt, no warranty.
Therefore I was thinking that maybe I could replace the screen (just the screen, found one on Marktplaats)
So could you guys give me some instructions on how to replace it?
Thanks!
Raymond
Sorry, you want help from us when you are not willing to help others? What you find in public is not yours. It belongs to someone else and with a bit of an effort can be returned to the rightful owner. Especially if its a smartphone that is very likely to contain some information about the owner. So it's up to you to decide what's right and what's wrong.
And by the way: Your story how you came into posession of the phone is generally weird. I don't want to accuse you of anything but you know those stories sound always the same Like it fell from a truck
Why am I not willing to help others? The police was notified of it and after 1.5 year nobody picked it up. After 1 year, you can keep it said the police.. And the story is real. It was my moms birthday, we ate at this pizzeria.. Walked back to the parking lot and as i walked to the door of the car my foot hit an object and when I looked i saw this leather case lying on the ground and I picked it up and found the mobile. But anyways can't you just even try to help me? You won't even help someone jeez weird ass forum >_<
OK. To to avoid beeing prejudiced against you I will try to help you. But keep in mind that I still find your story a bit weird

Take a look at this tutorial. It's not about replacing the screen but at least it shows how to disassemble your Xperia. I hope it Helps.

BUMP....??
I am just retired I am aiming to get to know my Xtrons PQ90MTVL a lot better.
Hi everyone, I've got an issue with my Xtrons PQ90MTVL. I use my Samsung S20 as a hot spot for the Xtrons. I find that every three days or so I have to do a reset via the pin hole on the front of the unit to re-enable wireless on the unit. The Wi-Fi is the only thing that goes on the unit, Bluetooth works fine, when I got in touch with Xtrons they said it was a common fault and would cost me £40.00 to have it repaired. Does anyone know if it is possible to fit a wireless USB dongle to provide the unit with a alterative way of connecting to the hot spot on my phone as they are quite cheap, and would save me a lot of money?
