From what I've read is impossible because when you unlock the bootloader it burns some sort of fuse or something like that, which can't be recovered
If the fault with your phone is nothing to do with the bootloader your guarantee won't be affected.

Well sometimes they just try to be a pain in the ass and complain about it, but if it's got nothing to do with it, just go ahead and send it to your phone's service
I sent mine in (the screen was dodgy) mine had an unlocked bootloader, when i got it back it had been reset from jellybean to ics and bootloader relocked and i can now longer unlock bootloader but they still fixed the device under waranty
okay guys, thanks. no my problem is the aux out and the usb port ;S i will send it with unlocked bootloader now
Through some miracle, I just unbricked my phone. I locked it and bricked it but then I flashed the stock 6.0.1 rom and i'm good!. I'm now at a status 2 because i unlocked and relocked it. I know you guys hate that because why relock it, but i'm returning it and wanted to play it safe.
Weird thing is I'm still getting the unlocked bootloader warning on power on. Any ideas why and how I can get rid of it? I thought for sure relocking would fix it.

This might not work with a locked bootloader, but you can give it a shot.
Download the boot logo from this thread that looks like the original one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...o-maxx-droid-turbo-x-style-logos-bin-t3407046
Double click on the .exe file while your phone is in bootloader mode and plugged into your computer.
Thanks ya, I have seen that logo fix floating around for the Droid Turbo but I didn't want to try until I had at least one confirmation that it could work on a relocked bootloader. Anyone have a guess/idea/or success story?
I got my H9L 2 months back and had rooted it (and unlockedd bootloader). Im having a big battery issue battery drains too fast. I want to get it to service centre as waranty is not over.
I've read posts saying if I relock bootloader I'll get waranty back but some says I won't get back warranty even if I relock bootloader.
Can someone sort this out please
IF you've unlocked the bootloader and rooted the device you have no warranty in the eyes of the manufacturer, it states this in the terms and conditions when you get your bootloader code from them.
See when you unlock the bootloader you get a warning screen upon booting the device and relocking the bootloader will not get rid of that warning.
However have you tried to see if the battery issue is intact an software issue. I.e have you wiped caches, checked if an app such as Google assistant WhatsApp Facebook is running in the background. Do you have the same issue when booting android into safe mode????

That's strange. I've relocked it today after flashing compete stock using HuRupdater tool.
I'm not having the warning screen I had earlier when my bootloader was unlocked.
So does that mean I'll be able to claim my waranty now?
And I've tried different ROMs the issue persists.
If they ask if I've unlocked the bootloader(since I've given my product number they might know) I'll just tell that I took the unlock code just in case, as they were shutting it down and that I haven't used it. Well at least that's the plan
So will they know that I've unlocked it earlier if there is no warning screen? As I've told I have complete stock firmware including kernal and recovery like @Fredin_ told.
Please reply fast.
If your no longer showing that Warning message after going back to stock then you can try and claim warranty if you wish, however they might have other ways to finding out if the bootloader has been unlocked.
So put your claim in and see what they do, they will either honor the Warranty or not Honor the Warranty and give you a quote for the work.
Personally if i unlock my bootloader and root it i'd just put up with the issue as i fully knew that the warranty went when i unlocked the device.
But i will leave it upto you how you go about it.
Last night I flashed my Moto X4 to Pixel Experience(01-03-2020). I faced some serious issues after flashing to Pixel ROM.
After that i decided to flash to Stock ROM. Now I wanted to lock my bootloader. Can anyone suggest me is it safe to lock my bootloader in Stock ROM?
Someone help me and guide me with this ASAP.
Sorry for my bad English.
Thanks in advance.
I don't believe there is any good reason to relock the bootloader. Your warrantee (if any) is already voided, and having a locked bootloader gains you nothing.

Sorry for my bad English in advance. I heard from few people that if my bootloader isn't locked, there are chances for my device to get hacked and if i lose my device anyone can retrieve the data from my device. Is this true?
I was just worrying for this thing.
The only fully secure device is one that is never turned on and sealed in concrete and lead. If you are careful about where and how you use your phone, you should be fine, whether or not your bootloader is locked.

Thanks for spending your valuable time for answering my question.:fingers-crossed:
You gave me some idea about unlocked bootloader. Once again thank you very much man!:good:
Im trying to relock my bootloader for trade-in as Ive upgraded to the P5.
When locking bootloader, it shows its locked, but then displays "cant find valid os" screen when trying to boot. I can still go back and unlock bootloader and boot back up just fine. I just cant relock it for some reason. Ive done this before on past Pixels, I dont know what the problem is.
Any ideas? What am I missing?

It's annoying when that happens.
What normally works for me is factory reset it, let it boot to setup then lock.
did you try the original download software?he have the lock/unlock option for bootloader and flash os you want.
If the above advice fails to get you the results you want...
I would go download the latest factory image and flash it with the -w still in the script. Let it do it's thing and reboot, it'll reset everything to stock. Do a factory reset afterwards for good measure. Once that is done, go ahead and lock the boot-loader. Just beware that if the phone is not completely stock when relocking, it potentially could brick the phone.
Flashing factory image did the trick. Thanks
im also here. just bought a new pixel so i gave my pixel 4xl to her. So i relocked the bootloader to set it up as "new"
no i cant find valid os, bootloader is locked. and i cant unlock it... what have i done =)
solved it with flashtool.
I just wanna use this thread as an opportunity to give some old-school advice... Unless you are selling or retuning for warranty, there is no good reason for relocking the bootloader. In my opinion the risks outweigh the rewards.
Carry on... Lol

Wholeheartedly agree, with one caveat. With Google's implementation of their hardware attestation shenanigans earlier this year (which checks to see if the bootloader is unlocked), there might be some that don't want to root and use the various mods or use a custom kernel to bypass that so they can pass ctsProfile and use banking apps, etc., and thus may want to go completely stock and relock their bootloader.
But yeah, in general it's a bad idea.
