Since the Pie update I guess, my phone battery drains a lot on Android System. It makes my phone lasted only 4-5 hours of SOT(before that I can get 6 hours+ SOT). Anyone has solution to fix this issue? I have tried to factory reset my phone and disable some system apps that I can disable without using ADB but the problem is still there
Boot into recovery and wipe cache, dalviccache,or do a general reset ...that could help

I have problem too
Turn off face / iris unlock if you are using it and reboot your phone see if that helps. Face/Iris unlock has a bug that drains battery... (thats the SystemUI batterydrain in your screenshot)

That's weird. Maybe reflashing the stock ROM will help and then flash over whatever ROM you had before.

I had the same problem. I was using the same version of miui. Are you using uc browser? That was the culprit for me. As soon as i uninstalled uc browser the random freezes ended. Uc asks for way too many permission in the name of data saving and mess up your phone.
Never really had that kind of problems with any ROM. I am now using MIUI 9.2 stable .eu rom. Try deleting davlik cache first, factory resetting if that does not work, then add apps few at a time to see if you find the guilty one.
There is strange error comes up when i try to unable aod from setting. When i click on always on display it just turn on button but no extra options are available just showing tap to show.
And when i click on clock faces and about clock screen. Error comes up " no app can perform this action."
P.s unable to turn on aod from notification panel nothing happen when click on it.
I updated from beta 1 to 4 and then dsb2 update.zip
What can b the problem and solution plz.View attachment 4708457

I recommend a clean NEW flash with Odin 3.13.1 (and PIE Firmware) and make a factory reset with the normal recovery.

Before you rush off to do that. I would recommend wiping the Cache Partition in Recovery mode. If that doesn't resolve your issue then back up your device and perform a hard factory reset.

In that case I would just install Oreo back on it and wait for the Official Release of Pie. That is porbably a glitch in the Beta.
Sorry to all.
Thats my mistake
I disable aod through package disabler [emoji14]
Now its working fine.
Mod plz close this thread.

I believe that for something like that You need unlocked bootloader and flash Fastboot version of the ROM, not Recovery or OTA version.
This mi9 is not my personal phone (company phone) so I can't unlock the bootloader or install ROM's
Due to my job I use the phone outside and the automatic brightness is crazy sometimes
With previous MIUI version all was good

Then all you can do is wait for the next version while hoping the issue has been fixed, of course you should report it as well using the feedback app. There's a chance that you're the only one experiencing the issue or there could be more but none reports it, hence the developers have no idea it happens.

Then maybe just try to reset (erase cache and user data) Settings.apk?! Maybe this will help You and by this procedure Your personal data on this phone is not in any kind of a danger.

I think it's the roaming icon. Just check whether you've turned on roaming.
