Is that normal? When wireless charging the screen is just unresponsive. Working but very unsensitive. Happens on both my original samsung wireless charger.
Can someone test it on your device?
Thank you!
I just checked mine on my Samsung dual charger and I see no difference at all. Everything is snappy and smooth, I looked at a route in maps and opened up a few other apps at the same time. I'm using Microsoft Launcher and my display settings are on FHD+.
Hy is it a same problem here
I have a s10+ device and if I charge it a lot of times not work correctly the touchscreen...
Sometimes I need push hard and longtime, when charging.
Same as wireless and same as cable charge.
What you think ?
What you found ?
What is the problem ?

It's crazy that you say this because I have a replacement phone because my original one broke, but my original phone has the same exact issue but this replacement phone doesn't do it at all. The touch screen wouldn't work while charging wirelessly. I'm not sure what it was.

I was having the same problem. I went into settings -> screen > touch sensitivity. Enabled it and it seems to be working now.

I just want to ask has anyone noticed that sometime while using the ®S-pen on note the screen responds even before the pen touches the screen!!! well it doesn't happens everyone but once in a while particularly when using note while charging, the other thing is the screen does brightens up if u bring the s-pen near the screen before it goes to sleep mode. Is this normal?
One thing more while charging the screen becomes Less responsive, I mean it need a b it hard press for thekeys to response on the screen
are you using it while charing using a computer's usb port? some computers aren't well grounded/earthed - eventually that'll mess up your touchscreen. you should use the official charger or a voltage control usb cable.
thanks for the reply
well i use the wall charger to charge my note.....and even after recently updating tbe firmware. ...the problem still persist.....what i have noted is the hard press problem occurs when 80% of mobile gets charged. The s- pen response is the same even after updating.
My screen either does not react on touching at all while charging, or its reactions are delayed by few minutes. Animations are smooth though (etc. cursor blinks at pin screen normally, time changes normally, battery level changes normally), so it's just unresponsive on touch. If i plug charger off, it's working correctly.
Because this is how phone worked when I got it new, I thought that maybe ROM change would help. So now I have omar rom on it and nothing changed in this regard. Does anybody have same problem?
Use a good charger! I'm 100% sure that you are using a cheap power adapter... Cheap charger do not properly filter current and it is the source of issues with capacitive touchscreens...
Thanks, today I got suspicious that charger may well be the source of problem because now charger stopped working at all! It came with phone but it was shipped from hong-kong because I bought it off ebay, so you may be right that it's just cheap replacement of real adapter.
I have this problem when I connect xt890 to computer
Hello all,
Strange thing noticed today my s10 doesn't do fast charge anymore.
I checked the settings and fast cable charge is active but the phone is only normal charging.(temp was ok)
Any advice?

Same thing for me! It's been driving me crazy. I'm on a T-Mobile S10 with the September update. Seems to have started since I updated..
Boys, they've seemed to have disabled it from the settings. Go to device care - settings - enable cable fast charge
Mine is still active in the settings. In fact, if I restart my phone and clear cache, it will say fast charging for 3 seconds before switching back to cable charging. I'll also get the occasional notification to check your charger connection.
All of this started since the T-Mobile September update came out. I've tried with 3 cables and 3 power bricks and booting into safe mode. I guess next step may be a factory reset.
FWIW, I updated my unlocked phone about an hour ago and it is still fast charging. I am not on T-Mobile though.
Try another USB cable.
Mine stopped working correctly (got the alert check your charger etc).
Used another I bought on AliExpress and fast charging is working as expected.

Anyone know what I have to do to get fast charging back? I have the option enabled in settings. The cord is good, my wife's phone fast charges just fine with it. I've soft reset the phone, cleared cache, and just about any other option I could find on the web. So weird cuz it was working fine not too long ago but just noticed now that I can't get it to work.
Try cleaning the usb port on your phone. i had the same problem, just cleaned it out with air.
Thanks but been tried that. I work in Audio/video so that was one of the first things I tried.

Are you able to mount the phone as storage on a computer, or able to access a USB with the OTG adapter? The charge port on this phone isn't the most robust and a few people have had problems with then failing.
No issues with any other stuff except fast charging. The phone charges fine but just say fast charging and takes forever. It's so weird cuz in my car my phone would barely charge when hooked up to USB in console, but then soon as I lost fast charging at home it started fast charging in the car. I just don't get it

Well luckily normal charging and USB still works so it's not the worst. At least your battery will last a little longer now?
My advice would be install an app like accubattery
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.digibites.accubattery
It will show current when charging.
Fast charging being displayed by Android only seems to indicate fast charging is enabled rather than actually occurring.
I find when fast charging is occurring with standard Samsung charger, but not original cable it will show approximately 2800 mA.
It did seem to be below this rate a few months ago when ambient temperatures were higher and battery temp got above 36 °C
I also bought an unbranded charger cable that has an led that illuminates bright when high current charging and dimmer when charging at lower rates.
Probably defective . I've read issues on here about fast charging no longer working and it had to be repaired by samsung.

Ive had this problem with all my samsung phones since galaxy s8. I dont know why after some months the phone loses the ability to fast charge (it happened to my s8, note 8 and currently note 9)

I finally replaced the usb-c port
I had the issue that fast charging was gone and it charged very slow sometimes. I did many searches and did everything I could do. none changed anything. finally I went to Samsung and they replaced the port.

It was. Now I am a bit skeptical about this USB-C port thing. I take good care of my gears. Especially this one that cost me an arm and a leg. I want to do a survey if all the manufacturers' type-c port is prone to get damaged like this easy!
I would take your device to a Samsung Service Centre and let them take a look at it.
Hi...
For a while now I've had a problem with my Note 9 only displaying that it is regular charging when plugged into my fast charger plug and cable. I tried a numbr of troubleshooting steps from restarting, cleaning the port, trying safe mode, buying replacement fast charger and cable, factory settings, rooting but it still only showed as cable charging so I became convinced it was a physical problem with the port. Wireless fast charging continues to work as it should.
I recently installed AccuBattery and when plugged into my fast charger/cable, the charge current completely fills the the green bar to between 1800-2000 mA so now I'm beginning to wonder whether fast charging is working ok, but the phone is reporting it incorrectly.
Does anyone else know what kind of charge current the Note 9 should have when cable fast charging please? Also, just out of curiosity, what should it be when wirelessly fast charging too please?
Thanks for any help...

I know this is ridiculous question. Did you enable it in battery setting?

I started charging at 25%. With screen on I got 2700mah.
I left my phone off for 15 mins and stayed at that 2700mah average.
When I turned my phone screen on, I had 45% but screen on charge dropped to 1000mah.
If you look at the bottom of my screenshot, it explains why you need to turn your screen off to get accurate fast charge Numbers. Your phone might throttle the screen on charge if a certain criteria is met.
Once again. Did you enable it in the settings?
I am eagerly awaiting your response... [emoji3]

Hmmm the numbers you get do seem to suggest there is an issue with my phone. The screen off speeds are around the same as screen on.
Samsung quoted about £10,000,000 to repair as it's rooted and they have to replace the entire board to satisfy their warranty terms.
May have a go at replacing the charging port myself.
Thanks again :good:

I don't use fast charging, ever. So that's probably why my port still works. I have gotten so much dirt in it and cleaned it out it isn't even funny. So I'm less 6 to believe that fast charging is what ruins the port not debris.
A lot of people who use fast charging have the same issue as you-,it burns out the port.
Honestly, my advice is to love with fast charging over wireless and not spend a billion dollars replacing the port. Wait until it's time to replace the battery in a year or two and do it then. Fast charging over cable only saves you 30-40 minutes. I can charge and do charge my phone normally and it only takes around an hour and 40 minutes.
