Hi guys, so i downloaded twrp on my samsung galaxy s10, went into download mode and flashed it as ap with odin. After that my phone rebooted and i got stuck in a boot loop in download mode. I had a message about vbmeta. So ive read somewhere that its some kind of security, so i found a vbmetafile that is supposed to be blank, flashed it as ap. And now the problem is that im boot looping twrp!!
So i downloaded stock firmware from sam mobile, with the model im using. And now odin just get stuck at boot.img, and sometimes it goes further but again gets stuck!!
And yes, i had OEM activated
How can i make my phone usefull again ?
Dammit, this phone is the only thing i had and now i had to cancel a date because i had gps on my phone...

What do you mean by "I had OEM activated" ? Did you unlocked your bootloader ?

I figured it out, my phone didnt like old firmwares. So i just downloaded the newest one.
For anyone that wonders, the error was in the top left corner displaying device 3 binary 1. when i was in download mode
Solved after hours without any luck on google
Why not just flash stock firmware? You will be back to normal.

Hey everyone
I've got a Galaxy S3 Mini GT-I8190N and I've got a huge problem.
It first started out with me trying to root my phone, everything seemed to go well until i tried to turn my phone on, which resulted in it being stuck on the samsung logo, I snooped around the internet trying to find a solution and was recommended to reflash with different tar files but nothing worked. I tried to reset to factory settings through recovery mode but I couldn't even access the recovery mode. I then tried to get back to factory settings using Samsung Kies but after the whole installation it didn't seem to work either. I tried almost everything possible, I checked out every link on the first page of google relating to my problem yet nothing works. The only thing I can do is enter download mode and that's it.
I wasn't aware of how rooting actually works and simply followed a tutorial on CNet (I can't post a link yet as I haven't reached 10 posts). Not sure if this helps but so far that's all I can remember from memory, if you need more info i'll happily share that.
download a new rom and install it per Odin (when i have this problem i do flash infected rom then i come in the recovery and restore my backup)

I'm rather inexperienced with this whole rooting thing, if you don't mind, could you link me to the correct rom? I don't wanna mess things up again.
Would be greatly appreciated.

Did you flashed firmware for N variant, and no special carrier firmware downloaded? Did it gave "pass" on odin?
If yes, try to reflash it and wait a little more to reboot (maybe)

I went here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ typed in GT-I8190N into the search box and downloaded United Kingdom (EE).
Should I tick off Auto-Reboot when I try it this time?

your carrier is (EE)?? or it is unlocked sim??? if you do not have a special carrier download this http://www.hotfile.com/dl/189236485/5a4d305/I8190NXXALL6_I8190NOXXALL3_BTU.zip.html.
regarding odin leave it at default. only "auto reboot" and "F. reset time" are ticked. put extracted (.tar) in pda.
it takes time to boot after completion.
Edit: if still doesnt work, i think you need stock recovery flashed on your device

Well, my sim card is T Mobile but my network was switched to EE.
I heard that having MicroSD's and SIM cards inserted while flashing could cause problems, should I keep them both in or out?

I tried all kinds of recovery attempts and none of them worked.
If it is still under warranty, try to replace it
You must be flashed wrong root file from the first. Usually, flashing stock firmware could solve this problem.
Hi,
My phone -Note 4 N910T- is stucked at bootscreen, and it can not to boot into recovery mode too. It is bootloop after upgrading by OTA from Kitkat 4.4.4 - N910TUVU1ANK4.
I tried to flash stock firmware( using both "N910TUVU1ANK4" and "N910TUVU1COD6" ), or full files stock firmware ( included PIT files),but it hasn't worked. I also tried to flash by Smatch Swich, everything seem OK but it can not fix.
I attached some photos of my problem for your reference.
Please help me.
Thanks,
You didn't mention if you tried using Kies?

I was going to suggest the same thing. Try using Kies and go to Tools\Emergency firmware recovery and see if that works.

Yes, I can. One of my attached photos has shown as above. I tried to flash via ODIN or Smart Switch ( Kies 3), the program has shown OK but I still got the problem.

It is pretty hard to brick these phones. Just in case you have a bad file or something. Grab the zip and follow these instructions. I know that all these files in this zip are good so it is worth a shot.
Even if you know what you are doing, follow the instructions exactly, you may be overlooking something. It happens to everyone sometimes.

After you odin whichever firmware you flashed, wait about 10 min or so on that boot screen that is stucked. Then pull the battery out. Go into stock recovery but power+home+vol up. Then select wipe data/reset. Reboot and it should boot just fine.
At least that's how i fixed my phone that stuck few times like what you going through.

The problem is my phone can not access to stock recovery or TWRP recovery. It just stuck at first bootscreen which is shown "Samsung Galaxy Note 4 powered by Android", then restart and stuck again. So that I can not wipe data or reset to fix.

Since you can still get into download mode, what happens if you flash TWRP through ODIN? Step 10 in the instructions I posted assuming it is still rooted or start at step 8 if not. Just to see if you can get recovery working again.
You are wasting time...start over, it's your best and quickest fix....

Ok here is my issue. I have been flashing droids for years without a single issue. I got my Note 5 about 2 months ago and decided to flash it since it was possible for the Sprint model. Flashing went as normal, perfect. I flashed a custom ROM, MOAR, and it was working great. No issues, very amazing ROM by the way. I then went and made a back up with TWRP and saved it to my OTG flash drive. I then proceeded to change the boot image, the one that says "Samsung" logo, because I had seen a tutorial on how someone did that on a Note 5. Now comes my problem. After flashing the new boot image, my Note 5 WILL NOT boot up. It will charge, as it does show it charging, I can get it into Download Mode. and that's it, just Download Mode. No recovery mode, no boot image, just Download Mode. I want to know if it's possible to use the backup that got from TWRP, which was a full backup, and use it with Odin to flash it back to the way phone was before this mishap, reinstall the correct boot image, or WHATEVER I need to get my phone up and running again. Thank you very much to anyone and everyone that can help me out
I would use download mode and a full firmware package to get it back working and booting , and once that works , I would use my backup to return to where i was.

Do you know where I could get one? I need this phone up and running really bad. I just went to Sprint and they said they were going to charge me $75 to look at and if it needed to be fixed it would be $350. I can't afford that. So ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Sorry about not answering earlier. You should get your firmware from www.sammobile.com , just search your model # (Note 5 are : SM-N920XX ) where the XX is carrier dependant. Sign up to their site and take the slow download. Then flash the firmware in download mode , using odin on your pc.
can u post the model no (Note 5 : SM-N920XX ) ...???

Just wanted to say thank you for the reply. I've been downloading the firmware for the past 2hrs now.lol. It was the "newest" upload they had for the firmware. If for whatever reason this doesn't work, GOD please it work, what should next? Thank you.
Well I flashed the new firmware(N920PVPU2BPG1_N920PSPT2BPG1_SPR) last night with Odin and to no avail it did not work. I still get only a black screen when trying to normal boot, still can't boot into recovery, but still can boot into Download Mode. I don't know what to do at this point. I have never had this happened.

if the way with odin doesn't work (sometimes necessary to wipe the cache and data before), you can do a emergency recovery under tools with Kies - don't know if smartswitch also .
You just have to enter the S/N and in process reboot to download mode - it does everything by itself... good luck

ive done that but its still not getting past the boot animation. its not bootlooping but just not getting past it.
I flashed the TekHD rom, let the rom boot, and then tried to boot into recovery from the set up/welcome screen. Instead of booting into recovery, the phone screen is black with small red letters saying "Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed"
I cant boot into recovery or the rom. I only get that message.
Help please.
Am able to access download mode. Gotta flash stock with ODin.
You must have forgot to flash the RMM fix. You either have to flash the RMM disabler or flash a custom Kernel that disables it that way before the first reboot after flashing TWRP. It's a new safety feature Samsung has introduced that locks the device after anything gets flashed or modified. Unfortunately, your only option is to re-odin stock files and then wait 7 days again for OEM unlock to appear.
After you get TWRP flashed again, mke sure you flash the fix or a custom Kernel.

indeed.. but anyway .. my question is why would that happen to me.. i was using the RomAur 4.0 CSA7 for pretty long now.. just flashed the new TGP kernel on it to test how it will do.. (its CSB3) .. it worked fine but after 2 reboots it kicked me in the face ... i couldnt unlock my phone anymore.. ore merely when i entered the pin the screen went black again.. then i tried to reflash the Kernel wich i was using all the time (Endurance Kernel for PIE) and then the "only official..." message came up .. is it possible that the CSB3 Kernel kicked my butt with the newest safety patch?

Hi i need some help here, i got the red message and when i enter to download mode and flash stock room from my country " just AP " odin just stay on "SetupConnection..." and then it says " <ID:0/005> Complete(Write) operation failed.

looking at the logs, not only should all 4 .md5 be flashed as stated previously, but odin version should be latest 3.13.1 and be sure you are not trying to put older firmware revision than what the device's bootloader is on. and it cant hurt to check if cable is good and android device drivers installed too.
