[Q] Cant connect to camera

Hi all! I have been searching for an answer for a long time now but no luck so far. It seems that my camera works only on stock and MIUI :S I can't get it to work on any other roms (including every version of CM). I have also tried perseus kernel, boeffla kernel and the ones that follow the different roms..
The error message is the same no mather what, and is as follows: "Can't connect to camera".
Theres also a faint hardware(?) sound right before this message pops up..
Im sorry if there already are threads about this.

I have still not managed to get my camera working, but I might have found something that can help (you tell me). Im pasting my post from MIUI thread, which I posted there because I got the camera problem in MIUI too after the update.. (camera worked on .20)
I might have found a solution which involves flashing stock, extracting cameradata from there, flashing miui and then replacing cameradata with stock. I also need to change some permissions after that on which I might need some help. I will inform you all about the possible progress when I get home from work. Im still open for sugestions though.

Edit2: I have tried for several hours now, and I cant manage to get rw permissions in /system/
I have tried this in ES, Root explorer, terminal emulator and now adb.. Looks like I have to go stock :'(

try using a different galley2.apk?
which roms you have tried?
maybe you have loose hardware in your phone?

I have tried different ones and I know its not the hardware because I can go back to stock and use my camera

Que tal amigos. Instalé el PACMAN ROM y la cámara dejó de funcionar. También en la SlimBean.Y lo peor es que cuando quise restaurar la copia de seguridad de la ROM STOCK que hice con la TWRP se queda en el logo de Samsung. Alguien ya sabe la solución?

How are friends? PACMAN installed the ROM and the camera stopped working. Also on SlimBean.Y the worst is that when I tried to restore the backup I made the STOCK ROM with TWRP stays in the logo of Samsung. Someone you know the solution?

issue is due to kernel.
Flash stock rom with stock kernel,do some pictures.
Flash custom rom with stock kernel take pictures then flash customer kernel,it will work like a charm

Touch Screen Issues?

Does anyone know a remedy for the touch screen issues present on the Xperia Z1? Like, at first it wasn't so bad, it rarely happened but the longer I use it, the more frequently it happens. I've tried looking for ways to fix it but keep coming up with nothing as most fixes are for Android Kitkatt in which is a problem as I'm running Lollipop. I do not want to downgrade as I love how well this phone works with the ROM and Kernel I'm running. Also, the screen is a genuine one that Sony ships the phone with.
The issue is mainly the screen not registering my touches. I usually have to turn the screen off and back on for the phone to start detecting the touches again.
So please if you have any potential fixes, please share them with me

I doubt TWRP is the problem as I had the problem before I even installed it.

It is a hardware problem. The only solution is to apply a tempered glass oleophobic.

- Here I put the 2.8.7.0 version and from time to time the screen is stopped, now at version 3.0.0.0, the screen is stopped, I tried to use the Resurrection Remix LP and when I boot, I tried to use the rom, however the screen was stopping, I had to be blocking the screen to return to work

- Mano eu instalei o TWRP 3.0.0.0 e ficou parando a tela, parece que esse problema veio direito pra ROM, as unicas roms que não ficam parando são as DEODEX, agora as baseadas em AOSP ficam parando a tela, e para isso eu tenho que bloquear a tela para voltar funcionar

For people who are using stock - apply screen protector. (I don't have any problems on stock)
For people with custom rom (especially MM based) - it's sw issue. We probably won't get fix...

What did you do to solve?

Bud, u can try pressing on the inferior part ( black side) like a massage, repeat and try. This issue is a hardware failure of the digitizer. . If dont work after a few tries, just replace the digitizer. Regards

New bixby vision fix!

I think you need the galaxy store/ app mirror version.. they are odexed if im correct. I had the black screen when i used odex version on Khongloi ( deodexed).. this update I posted is deodexed and would only work on deodexed roms.. i just did a factory reset and it flashed and work perfectly.. if you rom is deodexed it would probably be a region issue like Samsung pay.. im still trying to get Samsung pay working on Khongloi.. I want to be able to add my bixby points to it.. when i install it i get bootloop

Hi, I'm sorry for this noob question but how do I install this? When I opened the link there's two folders in it and not an APK file. Will it have the shopping option for the Bixby Vision? Because mine doesn't have. I hope this is the fix. Thanks!

exact, but even if you return to the original, it is not solved. I think it's a kernel problem, but we do not have any to install.

I don't have such issue with the MI 8 128GB China ROM version. I'd strongly suggest trying to flash the MIUI 10.
Can you turn on the flashlight? If the flashlight is not working, then I'm sorry that your camera hardware is most likely spoiled.

How you flash MIUI 10? I'm still unable to get it. So your camera is not spoiled, but a software issue. Did you clear the camera cache?

My phone unlocked and flash rom on TWRP. I cleared the camera cache but can't fix this error. I fastboot back rom MIUI 9.5 China Stable V9.5.6.0.OEACNFA on MI PC but can't fix.

Never mind. Since the phone is not mine, but my mom is using it. I'm sticking with the MIUI 9 stable version.

Did the camera work with miui 10 Beta? I am on this Rom and camera works fine. Bootloader still closed.
Did you try a clean flash (wipe everything, also format Data) ?

Been running MIUI 10 china since it came out, no issues. Have not unlocked bootloader.
Installed from built in updater.

I used Eureka_Kernel_R11.0-beta05_A30-OneUI...have not tested other applications yet I need to test some modifications

regarding this firmware, I have a30...I resized the System and vevdr partitions,,,restored the backup of this firmware , After that I installed the kernel for A30.
